TAMING THE BEAST IN HIM ( His Red Phoenix )

Phoenix’s face clouded in unhappiness as she chained Axion back. She didn’t want to but doesn’t have a choice. It was morning already and that was mostly when Axion do go wild.

She knelt before him after fastening the chain and cupped his face, gazing into his sad filled eyes with a smile.

” You don’t want me to go? ” She asked and Axion growled a yes.

” I don’t want to go either but… I have to. I will visit you at dawn and we will spend the night together again, ok? ” She assured and Axion nodded slightly. Last night was really the best for him, having his Phoenix sleep in his arms, and he wished it continues that way.

Phoenix leaned and kissed him affectionately while he closes his eyes to relish the feeling of her soft lips on his. Breaking the kiss,

” I love you ” Phoenix muttered and got up, heading to the door. Axion’s brows bent in a deep frown of disapproval and he snarled in sadness as he watched her head to the door. He doesn’t want her to leave. He wants to have him by his side always.

Opening the door, Phoenix turned to take a glance at him one last time, waving a bye to him before leaving. The moment she left, Axion bowed his head and let out an angry grunt.

The first person to welcome Phoenix as she stepped out of the room was Corbin. His hands were in his pocket as he stood by the door like he was waiting for her to come out.

” What are you doing here? ” Phoenix hissed and walked past him but he went after her.

” Shouldn’t I be the one asking you that? You spent the night with Axion, didn’t you? ”

” It’s none of your business ” Phoenix snapped at him.

” Are you aware of how dangerous that was? What if he lost his mind and did something to you…

” Don’t tell me how to handle my mate, Corbin. Mind your business ” She hissed but bumped into Glinda who beamed on seeing her.

” Where have you been, my dear? I was looking for you ”

” Any hope? ” Phoenix ignored her question and Glinda looked down.

” Nothing yet? ” She mumbled with a sad sigh and only received a glare from Phoenix.

” Nothing yet? Seriously aunt? ” She snorted in disbelief.

” It’s been three fucking days and still nothing? ”

” You and Corbin promised me that you’d find a cure for him, so why haven’t you two done anything yet?! ” She snapped angrily, startling both Glinda and Corbin.

” We’re trying our best, Phoenix. But as it is now, there isn’t a cure. But that doesn’t mean we would stop looking for one ” Corbin tried explaining.

” There isn’t much time left! ” Phoenix groaned, frustrated as hell. She has been trying to be patient and wait but it wasn’t working. Nothing is happening.

” Is there really no way to remove the curse on Axion? ” Tears clouded her eyes and Glinda couldn’t hold her tears either. Even she too is tired of not finding anything that could be of help. Axion’s condition was breaking her heart.

” As it is now, only one person can heal Axion. The person who placed the curse on him in the first place. But we can’t go to him for help, we can’t tell that devil to help us ”

Phoenix ran her hands through her hair, disheartened.

” I can’t take this anymore, aunt. I can’t bear seeing Axion in that condition. I’m sorry but I will have to handle this whole thing myself, I just can’t stay back anymore! ” She bellowed and turned.

” Phoenix wait ” Glinda held her wrist and stopped her.

” What are you planning to do? ” Phoenix slipped her hand out.

” Saving my mate, by hook or by crook! ” She stormed upstairs but stopped abruptly by the stairs. She let out a loud wince as a stinging pain hit her head. She suddenly started feeling dizzy and didn’t even realize when her leg slipped off the stairs.

” Phoenix! ” Glinda exclaimed and Corbin immediately rushed to her and held her right on time.

” Are you ok? ” He asked in worry and Phoenix got back on her feet. It was as if the dizziness suddenly vanished and the pain stopped.

” I’m ok ” She mumbled and left.

Corbin turned to look at Glinda whose face was clouded with gloom.

” Aunt, don’t worry, everything will be fine ” He walked up to her and Glinda nodded.

” I’ll go to my room now ” She muttered and left too.

Corbin let out a deep sigh, biting his lips. He didn’t like how everything was going and couldn’t help but blame himself. If only he came a bit earlier, then he would have saved Axion from that Devil.

He had survived near death all thanks to Glinda who saved his life that day Medusa threw him off the high building. She helped him realize that his real enemy was Medusa and not Axion.

He had come back for Medusa. He wanted to join hands with Axion and Phoenix to bring her down only to find out that the King of all Dark Genie was after Axion.

Seeing Axion in the condition he is right now, made his heart ache in both pity and regret. It made him realize that Medusa might have tortured him for a long time but Axion was in much more pain than him.

Having to turn into a beast every blood moon was something he would never wish upon even his enemy. But here his brother is, going through all that because of that useless Devil.

” Speaking of that animal, I think I need to pay him a visit ”

The King of all Dark was still in his human form, seated on his throne in his cave, a cup filled with blood in his hand, possibly the blood of all his subjects he has slaughtered. He was drinking from it, smirking in satisfaction as he watches Axion suffer while being chained like an animal.

That was all he wanted, if possible for him to suffer even more to extent that he wouldn’t have any option but to crawl to him for help.

Just then, he sensed someone in the cave. It was the aurora of a Dark Genie and knowing who it was, he grinned.

” Ashamed to appear before me? ” He chuckled.

” What brings you the Devil’s layer, son? ” Corbin who had been hiding in camouflage appeared.

” What brings me to the Devil’s layer? Why don’t you answer that question yourself? ” He snorted but only received a scowl from the King of all Dark Genie( Devil ).

” No one dares answer my question with a question, Corbin! ” He thundered angrily but Corbin simply rolled his eyes.

” Oh really? I never knew ” He scoffed sarcastically.

” Well guess what? I… don’t… give a fuck ” He pointed out and that was enough to make the Devil’s anger flare up and he shot him a glare.

” I am here to warn you to stop bothering Axion because he did absolutely nothing to you! ” Corbin snapped back making the Devil scoff.

” He did nothing? ”

” He is my possession so I can do to him whatsoever I please! ”

” Let me make this clear to you, you animal. No matter what you do, Axion… will never agree to serve you and you know why? ”

” Because very soon he will no longer be a Dark Genie. That dark blood of yours in him is slowly fading away and it’s all thanks to his Phoenix. She has changed him if you aren’t aware of that…”

” Even after turning him into a beast, she is still able to tame him, to nurture and care for him because the love they have for each other is stronger than any useless curse you place on Axion! “
