” Not now. I’d let you finish your bath so you won’t catch a cold and after, put that on ” He pointed at the box on the tiled sink and Phoenix bit her lips nervously.

What was he planning?

Axion kissed her briefly and dashed out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist, leaving her to take her bath. He left to survey the room and make sure everything was ready and perfect.

But then, he sighted a shadow outside making him frown. He wanted to go after it but it disappeared all of a sudden making him stop. His heart skipped a bit in fear.

” What was that? ” He frowned in confusion. It was only him and Phoenix in the cottage, so where did that shadow come from?

A FEW MINUTES LATER

Phoenix chewed on her lips anxiously, ogling at her reflection in the mirror. She was wearing what was inside the box just as Axion told her to and her cheeks heated up. It was the red lingerie he bought for her earlier and she couldn’t help but wonder why he made her wear it.

What was he going to do to her?

She exhaled deeply and gathered enough courage to step out of the bathroom. And the instant she did, she was greeted by total darkness. Her heart skipped in fear and she froze.

” Axion ” She called, struggling to find the switch. She was dead terrified of darkness and was already shaking. She bump into something and missed her balance. Thinking she was going to fall, she let out a scream.

Just when she was about to fall, a hand circled her and pulled her to the bed, right on top of his lap. The hand held her waist steadily, her hands wrapped around the person’s strong neck.

Taking in his scent, Phoenix could easily dictate who it was and she smiled. She knew she was ? safe in his arms so far it was him.

” Axion ” She called softly as she felt his lips on her neck, kissing it.

” Yes,” He answered and her smile broadened.

” Please turn on the lights, I’m scared ” She mumbled and Axion grinned.

” Do you have to be scared when I’m here? Don’t you trust me? ” He trailed the kisses to her exposed cleavage and she moaned subtly, nodding negatively.From NôvelDrama.Org.

” I trust you,” She said and the fear she was feeling faded instantly. She felt relaxed and safe knowing it was him. He will protect her, she’s sure of it.

Axion smiled and almost immediately, the lights turned on, startling Phoenix a bit.

Looking around, a gasp left her lips at the candles that filled her view. The room was lit up and decorated with roses and balloons. On the bed were arranged rose petals in the shape of a heart ❤️ with an ” I LOVE YOU ” description under it.

She was beyond stunned. Her heart tugged and she immediately looked at Axion whose eyes peered into hers lovingly.

” You… did… all… this for… me? ” She stammered in disbelief.

” Do you like it? ” Axion asked and she chuckled.

Is he fucking kidding her?

” This is…” She ran out of words to express her happiness.

” I… fucking love it! ” She giggled, squeaking like a baby.

” Thank you ” She rested her forehead on his and nuzzled his nose. She was so touched that she felt like crying. She couldn’t believe this was the surprise he was talking about.

” Do you want to dance with me, Phoenix? ” Axion asked and she blushed.

” I don’t know how to ” She looked down in embarrassment. Axion chuckled and gently tilt her head up to stare at him. He kissed the side of her lips and whispered,

” I will teach you, don’t worry ” He turned on the music.

He pulled her up and put her feet on his to lead her through. His hand held her waist firmly while she placed hers on his shoulder to steady herself.

” Just trust me, ok? ” He buried his head on her neck, taking in her comforting scent. She smelt so nice that he felt like never letting her go.

The dance began. It was slow and calm.

” You look stunning tonight ” Axion complimented and Phoenix’s cheeks heated up.

” Thank you ” She smiled sheepishly.

As they both danced, Phoenix couldn’t help gazing intently into Axion’s violet eyes and her heart leaped. He has changed so much which is amazing and equally surprising. The Axion she knew before wouldn’t even look her in the eye, to begin with. And even if he does, it will be filled with hatred and anger.

But here he is now, staring into her eyes like she was the most beautiful thing he has ever seen, like she was his world and everything. She bit on her lips as the butterflies in her stomach awakened and swam around freely.

” Phoenix ” Axion’s hoarse voice snapped her out of her thoughts and she hummed a yes.

” I can’t wait to have you ” He murmured and her heart tugged. She had almost forgotten she was putting on lingerie and Axion’s eyes had shifted to her body, transfixed on it.

Before she could say anything, Axion shut her up with a kiss which she reciprocated immediately, fastening her hands on his neck.

The kiss was intense and wild as they both fed on each other’s lips hungrily, their hands flaring wildly over their bodies. Phoenix reached out to Axion’s shirt and tripped off the buttons in a haste. Soon, it dropped to the ground, leaving Axion shirtless.

Her hands ran up and down his bare chest as they kissed and Axion groaned huskily, pulling her by the hair. Her soft hands on his chest were driving him crazy. He reached to her neck and kissed it; kissing, biting, and suckling it hungrily while Phoenix moaned in pleasure.

His hand went over, running up and down her exposed back. He reached out for the lingerie and yanked it off, squeezing her breast gently.
