Chapter 28: Fulfilling Obligations

A mood of melancholy descends on Macy. She pauses, and then turns to look at Sue, “What do you

mean?"

It has been more than half a month since her father was taken away by the police to cooperate with the

investigation. There is no news at all. Because of the bankruptcy, she has no relationship and no

money, so she can only passively wait for messages...

This is the first time that she learns about her father from outsiders.

Realizing that Macy is in panic, Sue smiles triumphantly, looking her over from head to foot, " You are

She walks slowly to the balcony, where Yusef is sitting drinking with the wind blowing. Turning his head
