“I’m going to kill Mario!” Roberto ranted, pacing around. Ann was at his side, furious as she made several calls.

“That bastard, I’ll tear his flesh apart!” Ann flared, throwing her phone on the ground angrily.

“I’ve successfully blocked all the tv stations from screening the video but the problem now is the internet, several blogs have carried it and it’s hard because to convince them” Cassie announced.

“Get the service providers company on the phone now! I want everybody to lose access to the internet till further notice” Roberto let out and Ann stared at him with amazement.

“That’s a dangerous thing to do. If we do it, it’ll only prolong the matter and make it worse as more tongues would wag, let’s try to get the video off the internet” Ann advised.

“What way are we gonna get it off? The news has spread and everyone is aware of our affair! Do whatever it takes to get Mario” Roberto commanded and the guards nodded before leaving.

“I’ll try to make social media accounts to be banned for some time. It’ll be difficult but we just have to try” Cassie added.

“Find out who the spy is, I want to know how our plans are getting to Mario” Ann instructed and Cassie nodded.

“What are we going to do now?” Cassie demanded.

“If Mario wants war, I’ll give him war. First we’ll also hold a live interview. I’m tired of hiding, it’s time to take control” Ann replied with a stern look.

“Ann, think carefully before you say anything” Roberto advised and Ann nodded.

The hall was filled to the brim, reporters curious and murmuring amongst themselves. Roberto and his entourage entered, making the once noisy hall silent.

He stood at the podium, staring at them before stepping aside for Ann who had a serious look on her face.

“I’m sure y’all are wondering what I have to say after Mario disclosed such vital information. I’d like to address the things that have to do with my family first…” She watched the wager reporters.

“Having an affair with Roberto was a mistake at first but we had no option when I got pregnant.. knowing that I was at fault, I promised never to let the public know about my kids, I take full blame for that and I’ve been keeping to my promise even after the First Lady died..”

“The attack that happened on Andrea’s funeral was Mario’s plan to kill the president, I can mention several more attacks where he had tried to kill us but he didn’t succeed.. “I have very little to add to what Ann has said, Mario has been very cunning and sly but I’ve always treated him rightly, I do not think he can change but I’m hoping he does because of the future…”

“I’m also using this medium to apologize to everyone, my affair with Ann is inappropriate but there’s nothing that can be done. I want the country to forgive me. Owing to the things happening, my marriage with Ann would be postponed till things have been settled”

“Also I’m saying a big sorry to my daughter Isabelle, she has been the best right from time, forgive daddy and come back home. I can also see the great job you’re doing in providing shelter for the homeless, I can’t be more proud of you and I think your mother would be very very proud of you” He concluded emotionally and stepped down.

20 minutes later

“Why did you make that announcement?” Roberto queried, getting a low groan from Ann.

“What announcement?” Ann replied, feigning ignorance.

“You made an announcement about us getting married after the election, we never had that discussion” Roberto scolded.

“And you made an announcement about postponing it… what else do you want me to say? I had to give them a convincing story, that was all that came to my head” Ann fired and Roberto sighed.

“Ann, you’re becoming something else, stop taking decisions alone without my consent, I don’t think you would ever become the First Lady so stop having that idea in your head” Roberto advised and Ann glared at him with anger.

“All the decisions I’ve taken is for you interest, do you think I’m after becoming First Lady, I don’t give a fuck about that position!” Ann yelled.

“Do I look like a fool! All these years, you’ve been working only for me even after you got several offers, you choose to work for me. You were offered the position of Vice President, what else do you want if not First Lady?” Roberto demanded furiously and Cassie walked inside, a guard dragging a maid.

“She’s the spy,” Cassie murmured carefully.

“Kill her” Ann ordered and the maid cried out, pleading for her life.

“I can help you get word from Mario! Please spare my life!” The maid pleaded and Ann stopped them.

“How do you think you’re useful to me?” She demanded.

“I can give Mario false information and help you get more information from him… I’m also useful in one way, please spare my life!” The maid pleaded and Ann burst into laughter.

“Do you think I can’t get someone else who would do a much better job than you? You’re totally worthless to me. Your life means nothing to me. Kill her in front of everyone and she’ll serve as a lesson to others, send her body parts to Mario as a warning” Ann instructed and Cassie nodded before heading out with the maid.

“Ann, you’re exercising too much control. You need to stop killing everybody, sometimes capturing them is the best…” Roberto trailed.
