Seduced by My Childhood Sweetheart’s Brother

Chapter 617

When it was time for lunch, Colin suggested that we have a meal together since we had bumped into each other.

Since it was still the holiday season, it was a good chance to get together.

Felix said he had to go back to school for something and asked Hannah if she would go back with him. She rubbed her stomach but followed him into a cab without hesitation.

Just before getting into the car, she glanced back at me. I gave her an encouraging smile. She returned the smile knowingly and nodded solemnly at me.

I hoped that Hannah's innocence and brightness could bring the old bright and upright Felix back.

"Young people really grow up very fast."

I sighed, earning a smile and a sidelong glance from Colin.

"Why are you worrying about them like a mother? Let's go to eat. What do you want?"

"Anything's fine. I'm not too hungry."

Colin chose a small but clean-looking restaurant. The waiter got us a relatively quiet booth. As we sat facing each other, waiting for our meal, I realized I hadn't told Mom that I was not going home.

I took out my phone and thought about how to tell her. However, Colin said that he had already informed my parents.

"What did they say? Are they disappointed?"

"They were a little disappointed, but they didn't say much. They just asked me to take care of you and said that they would be assured with me around."

"Colin, you're really spoiling me." Recalling Lilac's words, I agreed that I had many people doting on me. My parents doted on me at home, and Colin had been spoiling me too during all these years of studying away from home.

I hardly had to do anything on my own. In summary, they doted on me so much that I was almost turning into a useless person.

"Spoiling you is good, you know. Wouldn't it be great if I could spoil you into becoming a big baby? Then, you'll have to rely on me and won't leave me."

"But I'd feel useless," I half-leaned in on the table and said somewhat regretfully.

Thinking about Jade and the others who handled most things on their own and watching them boldly venture into the world was really awe-inspiring. Actually, Lilac's words did affect me a little.

Colin reached out and pinched my chin before saying, "Nonsense. Your paintings are the best, you have excellent grades at school, and you even play the guitar superbly. How could you be useless? Don't belittle yourself."

I pondered for a moment and felt that he did have a point. But growth was necessary. I couldn't always rely on others without giving back. "Mom and Dad are getting older, and you're much older than me. You'll definitely need someone to take care of you in the future. I'll learn to take care of people too.

"You're taking care of me now, and I'll take care of you when you're old. So, don't worry, I'll learn to make soup.

Colin was annoyed by my words and threatened me by pinching my cheeks. His tone was fierce, but in reality, he only pinched me lightly. "You're getting bolder. How dare you say that I'm old?"

I was innocent. That was not what I meant. I just purely wanted to take care of him in the future.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

We were having a good time when someone suddenly rushed into the restaurant. When he saw Colin, his eyes lit up as he rushed to our table.

He was panting heavily as he said, "Mr. White, could you please not put your phone on silent? I've been looking for you everywhere for over an hour. I'm really exhausted."

The man's face looked young and lively. It was obvious that he was a freshman.

His words made me chuckle. It also made Colin's usual stern face soften slightly, showing a hint of laughter Then, he took out his phone to find that he had dozens of missed calls and voice messages from the young man.
