"I accidentally pressed the mute button. Sorry to trouble you. Did something happen?" Colin clenched his fist in front of his nose, suppressing the laughter in his throat.
The young man finally caught his breath. He looked at the two dishes already on the table and swallowed his saliva. "Mr. White, is it possible to talk while we eat? I've been running around for over an hour, and my stomach is rumbling like the drums at a rock concert."
His humorous words made us laugh. So, Colin rang the bell to ask the waiter for another set of cutlery.
It turned out that someone from the new collaborative project had suddenly decided to come for an inspection in the afternoon. As head of the project, Colin had to be there. Moreover, there was some preparatory work that needed Colin's participation and supervision.
Everything was really over this time.
I knew it wouldn't be so easy to return to Southsville.
It was supposed to be a good meal, but all the food tasted bland to me due to the disappointment I felt.

We ended up going back to school together.
Before getting out of the car, Colin touched my hair and told me to behave myself. He also told me to stay away from anything dangerous and to be smart in case of accidents.
Why couldn't he see the hurt I was feeling? He was always thinking about his own interests. How about considering mine?
I forced a smile and bade him goodbye. But he just stared at me with warning in his eyes. It wasn't until I repeatedly reassured him that I understood his intentions and remembered his words that he finally left. Was this how a boyfriend was supposed to behave? He was simply jealous and worried about Winston approaching me.
I hadn't touched a paintbrush since the last time I came to Crystal House many days ago. Today, I found myself missing painting a little. It seemed that I couldn't be away from a paintbrush in my life. Since it was the holidays, most students had gone home or gone traveling. Only Winston and another young woman were in Crystal House.
The young woman was sitting in front of an easel, holding a brushzin her left hand while pointing at a particular part of the painting with her right. She was saying something, and Winston was listening to her.
When they saw me, Winston was stunned for a moment. Then, he straightened up and scratched his head a little awkwardly before turning to smile at me. "Luna, why are you here? Is everything settled?" His attitude was exceptionally respectful, which was quite a sudden change.

"It's almost done. I'll let you know if there's anything. By the way, do you want to be our partner in this competition? If you do, I'll add your name in."
I didn't sign up for the competition
this time. The pieces were all their work. I had only assisted them on the side as a consultant and hadn't done much. Their accomplishments from the competition would be because of their excellent
skills. That had nothing much to do with me.

As I walked away from them, I heard the young woman ask Winston in a low voice, "Winston, is that the senior you admire?"
He was silent for a moment before responding, "She's the queen of the Department of Fine Arts. I'm not her only admirer."
"Oh, she's so tall and has a good figure. Plus, she looks so cool when she speaks. She's so pretty. Does she have a boyfriend?"
"Yes, her boyfriend is the Prince Charming of the Department of Fine Arts. But he's super faithful, so don't think too much about it." This sentence sounded a bit forced to me.
