Chapter 2982
"Are you two okay?" inquired Hidetake with a hardened face.
Even though Bunta and Takeshi were injured, they dared not admit it.
Instead, they insisted that they were fine.
"You're both good for nothing. You just embarrassed me!" sneered Hidetake. "I need somebody to cut their head off as a warning to the others."
Those beside Hidetake immediately advised when they heard the general, "Sir, it's true that Bunta's and Takeshi's performance left much to be desired, but this isn't the time for punishments!"
After some thought, Hidetake agreed to spare the two. "Fine. However, this doesn't mean I'll forget about their failure. I'm simply offering them a chance to redeem themselves."
Bunta and Takeshi immediately thanked the general for the show of mercy and promised to make up for their failure.
"You can make all the promises you want, but they won't mean a thing until you have something to show for it," scoffed Hidetake in response. With that, Hidetake shifted his attention to Nathan. The look in his eyes was so intense that it seemed as if a storm was brewing inside him. "I'm giving you one last chance, Nathan. You'd better take your men with you and leave, or I'll ensure your legend as the God of War ends today."
After responding with a half-smile, Nathan took off his Leviathan mask to reveal his handsome face and stern eyes. "You took the words right out of my mouth. I'd take my own advice if I were you.”
“This place belongs to me, so why should I be the one to leave?" questioned Hidetake rhetorically. “Let me tell you something. If we were to go to war here today, the news would only mention briefly how the fishermen of two nations had a conflict. And even if I kill you today, reporters of your country won't dare mention it. They'll probably just say that their president passed away due to illness.
To that, Nathan chuckled before
uttering, "Has it not occurred to you that this little conflict will also be reported as a scuffle between fishermen after I wipe out your men and cut off your head? Maybe reporters of your country willeven talk about how Hidetake Tokugawa, the highest in command of the
Jetroinian Navy, passed away due to illness."
"It seems we won't be able to reveal the truth of our death, no matter who dies. The one who dies will have to do so in aggrievement," stated Hidetake coldly.
The Jetroinian general was not wrong because there was no way either of their nations would reveal the truth. Otherwise, an all-out war would break out.
Both parties desired a contest of strength under agreed rules, but neither wanted to do so outside Daragon Island for fear of an all-out war; hence, the confrontation.
"Hidetake, you have no reason nor right to be here. Why not leave with your people.now since you know you'll die aggrieved if you don't?". asked d Nathan calmly. "If you leave, not only will you get to live, but you'll also spare your people from a disaster."
In response, Hidetake scoffed, "I have a dozen generals and five thousand elite soldiers, while you only have a few hundred men. Do you believe that I can wipe you out before the water boils?"
The second Hidetake finished his sentence, he suddenly heard a thunderous voice from far away.
"Hidetake, how dare you bully the warriors of Eurasia!"
Stunned, Hidetake and the others watched as dozens of Eurasian fishing boats approached them.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
On the boats were many majestic and well-built Eurasian men like Fang, Destroyer, Heptakill, Cyril, Orrin, Galen, Atlas, Caius, and Hadrian.
It turned out that the North Army had come to assist Nathan, and the one who shouted at Hidetake was none other than the fearsome Commander- In-Chief of the North Army, Fang.
