At that time, Mayra was still unconscious in the hospital.
She replied, “Not only was I sick, but I’ve also been wronged.”
Gordon quickly replied, “What happened?”
Mayra edited her message and told him about the recent events. However, she didn’t mention the neglect she faced from the Barlow family.
Just as she sent the message, she heard the waiter call out, “Mr. Barlow.”
Mayra quickly put down her phone. Out of the corners of her eyes, she saw Anderson’s figure. He pulled out a chair and sat across from her.
“Have you ordered the food?”
Mayra answered, “Yes.”
“Where do you want to go later?” asked Anderson.
Mayra declined, saying, “Nowhere. I want to go back to Belchester after lunch. I don’t want to stay here.”
“I’ve already made an appointment for you with the best specialist. You should get a check–up first. Shane will take you back after that.”
Mayra lowered her head and looked at the white porcelain cup in her hand. The tea left a slightly bitter taste in her mouth. “I know my own body, I just need to take my medicine.”
Gastric wasn’t something that could be cured quickly. She hadn’t even finished the medicine that Gordon gave her the last time.
“Besides, I don’t want to stay here and disturb you. I saw you were quite happy playing golf with Serena. I’m just being a nuisance here.”
Anderson leisurely took a sip of tea from his cup. “You know her?”
“Not really, I just know of her.”
Putting down the teacup, Anderson said, “If you want to play, I can teach you later.”
Marya replied, “No, I don’t want to learn. I’m not interested.”
To Anderson, these words sounded like jealousy.
“Are you angry?”
Dishes began to be served one after another.
Marya picked up her spoon and took a piece of fish. “What’s there to be angry about? You know what you’re doing. I’m just a child who should mind her own business.”
Anderson’s lips curved into a smile. “Good girl. You remember what I told you last night.”
Marya didn’t say more and just focused on eating. When she heard her phone vibrate, she knew who had sent her a message, but she didn’t take a look at it. Instead, she set her phone on silent mode and flipped it screen–side down.
Marya ate half of the grilled sea bass that was served. After that, she drank a bowl of soup.
Actually, it was rare for the two of them to eat quietly like this.
Halfway through her soup, a commotion suddenly broke through the silence of the elegant restaurant. A wealthy woman had caught her husband cheating.
“You lied to me, saying you were on a business trip to discuss a contract. Now, here you are, wining and dining with other women! Damien Jones, you bastard! I want a divorce!”
“No… It’s not like that. Honey, let me explain! These two women don’t mean anything to me… They came to me!”
“They came to you? Do you think I’m stupid? With your wandering eyes, I know you can’t keep your dick in your pants when you see a beautiful woman.”
She continued, “Once you’re done eating and drinking, you’ll take them to your room, won’t you?” This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Marya propped her chin on her hand, watching as the woman dragged the man out of the restaurant by his ear in front of everyone.
Several beautiful young women followed behind.
“Andy, tell me… Why can’t people just stay faithful to one person? Is it that hard?”

As the commotion ended, Marya lost interest and retracted her gaze. She noticed that Anderson was staring at her. His gaze made her feel extremely uncomfortable.
Anderson chuckled lightly. “If you were to eat the same dish every day, you’d get sick of it after a while and want to taste something new.”
“No. I know someone who wouldn’t get sick of eating the same thing every day, even if it was vegetables … And in terms of feelings, he’s the same. He would always only love one person.”
