Chapter 179 As You Wish

Jacob's pupils locked onto Avery's clear eyes, as he tried to see through her thoughts from her face.

"What do you really want?"

Avery now was too unusual, and he had no idea what she was plotting.

She had become well-behaved, and Jacob felt somewhat uneasy.

"I said it before; I want to start a new life, not spend my whole life in darkness."

Avery gently tugged at his sleeve; her voice muffled as it came from his embrace. "Is it possible?"

"Just like this?" Jacob's throat tightened, unsure of what to say at this moment.

"Or what? Or are you willing to let me go live in another city?"

Jacob coldly gripped her waist. "Don't even think about it."

Avery smiled bitterly in his arms. He had said long ago that even if she were to die, she would only die

by his side. Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

She closed her eyes.

"Then, as you wish."

"As you wish."

The voice in her mind overlapped with Jacob's voice.

Avery raised her head and smiled at him, "Have you eaten enough? Do you want to eat a little more?"

"No need; you should go back and rest."

Avery broke free from his embrace with a serious expression. "How can that be? From now on, I will be

your secretary. I have to adapt to your rhythm in advance."

Jacob glanced at her deeply, and Avery looked serious. He couldn't find any flaws.

"As you wish."

After saying that, he returned to his seat, while Avery was tidying up the food boxes on the side.

Out of the corner of her eye, Avery saw him make a phone call, and soon, John came in and stood

respectfully to the side.

"Mr. Hill, Mrs. Hill."

"She will be my personal assistant from now on. You arrange it."

In John's astonishment, Avery smiled slightly and said, "Thank you, John. I hope you will keep my

identity a secret."

"Yes, Mrs. Hill."

"I'm afraid you'll have to change that address."

John and Jacob locked eyes, and Jacob nodded at him.

"Yes, then excuse me, Miss Adams, please follow me."

Avery hurriedly followed John out. Jacob stared at her figure for a while. Regardless of her intentions,

he decided to keep her under his watchful eye, knowing that she wouldn't cause any trouble.

With this in mind, Jacob resumed his work. He didn't know why, but his mood had improved compared

to before.

Avery walked with John to the corridor where there was no one around. Only then did John speak, "Are

you sure about this?"

"Instead of being locked up to death, it's better to come out and work. At least this way, I can get some

fresh air."

Avery shrugged helplessly and said, "I'll have to trouble you in the future."

"Don't mention it."

John brought Avery into the secretary's office and gave a brief introduction to everyone.

The sudden arrival of a personal secretary left the others somewhat stunned, but they still warmly

accepted Avery.

"I will arrange your workstation tomorrow. Tonight, familiarize yourself with the others," John said.

"Okay."

After John left, all six people in the office cast their gaze upon her. After all, she was the person who

had been following Jacob. Despite their curiosity, no one asked a single question.

"Miss Adams, I will briefly tell you about Mr. Hill's habits later," said Asher Ronald, the one who took full

control in John's absence.

He held a stack of documents and stood upright, not appearing as someone scholarly but rather more

like a soldier.

"Thank you, Asher," Avery expressed her gratitude.

Asher introduced the others, "This is James, Orion Everly, and Cassius Everly."

Before coming here, Avery already had some understanding that James and Asher were brothers,

while Orion and Cassius were cousins.

Asher's hand fell on the last two female assistants. "This is Juniper, and this is Calliope."

"Hello, everyone. My name is Avery. Please take care of me from now on."

Avery introduced herself graciously, but her eyes closely observed the expressions on each person's

face.
