” I promise you’re gonna love their desserts, I usually buy them, whenever I come around here” Adia tried persuading Laura as they both headed out for lunch break.
“Alright, alright, I’ll try them, if that’s what will make you happy” Laura said as Adia smiled in satisfaction, Adia has being boasting to her nonstop about how good Le surmatelas a la cafeine was and has being intent on going there for the past one week now.
” Great!!” Adia exclaimed happily, actually Sebastian was attending a very important meeting if not, she would have dragged him along instead, a week has passed do far and he does little or nothing she say, except going out for lunch with her, which she obviously forced him the to, asides from that he’s always comes up with the excuse that he’s Busy.
Adia actually thought she could use that to control him and make him bid to her terms, but she’s so wrong, no one can control Sebastian hunters, but as determined as Adia is, she’ll never give up on him.
“Why do you like this place so much?” Laura asked seeing no reason why she wanted to go there all for a cup of coffee.
“Just Normal cravings, it’s normal for a pregnant lady you know” Adia blurted out, as Laura stopped on her tracks dumbfounded at what she just heard.
“Pre.. gn…ant” she stammered pointing at Adia dumbstruck, Adia immediately bit her lips in regret, it just slipped out of her mouth, but Laura was bound to find out one day and Sebastian never mentioned it to her to keep it a secret.
“Yes pregnant, almost four months gone” she repeated wondering why Laura was so shocked.
“Pre.. gna.. nt?!!!” Laura yelled very loudly in disbelief, gaining the attention of some persons who looked their direction, wondering what was up.
Adia shot a hard glare at Laura,

“Are you alright, you’re embarrassing me, why are you so surprised” Adia stated, it was not a new thing to get pregnant.
“I’m so so so.. rry” Laura stammered trying to maintain composure, before clearing her throat as she spoke,
” I hope you don’t mind if I ask a question?” She whispered, dragging Adia closer to her.
“Yes” Adia responded, trying to recall if Laura had taken anything funny earlier.
“Who’s the father?” Laura asked, as Adia pushed her backward with a weird look.
“What sort of a question is that, I’m married” Adia replied stating the obvious,
“Wait, wait, Sebastian!!!” Laura yelled fir the second time, eyes wide with horror.
“Of course, are you sure you’re fine, what’s up with you?” Adia asked startled by her strange behaviors.
“Are can you be pregnant for him, you’re human!!” Laura exclaimed, Her suspicion was right after all, Adia is indeed pregnant, but she can’t be pregnant, Sebastian’s a vampire, wasn’t it stated humans can never bear vampire children.
“Of course I am, we all are” Adia chuckled loudly.

“I mean the pregnancy?”
“Wh. at!!!, are you sure you’re fine, what sort of a question is that, do you need rest, we can go back to the office” Adia stated as it seems her friend had lost her mind.
” No, no, I’m fine, I was just surprised, congratulations” Laura squealed with quietly.
” Yehhh” she gave out a fake smile which quickly died down, there was no congratulating Adia on this, she’s going to die, that’s if it’s true.
” Thanks, now let’s go, tye time’s running” Adia said tapping her wrist watch as she dragged a speechless Laura along.
” Are you sure you’re okay?”
” Yes, very okay”

” Isn’t the coffee here great?” Adia asked Laura, who didn’t give an answer as she seemed to be lost in another realm.
“Laura” she shook her violently, she’s being like this, since she broke the news of her pregnancy, it fejt as if she broke a bad news bit a good one.
“Yes yes” Laura responded startled.
“Are you with me,?” Adia asked
“Of course, always” Laura chuckled placing her lips in n the draw, taking one bit sip of espresso, trying to calm herself down, even though it’ll make no difference, the news earlier totally drained all her energy, if what Adia said is true that she’s really pregnant tir Sebastian no doubt, she’ll die.
But what remained a misery was why Sebastian was keeping her, or why he got her pregnant.
“Then why are you acting as if yuy heard a bad news” Adia asked, Laura was just behaving so nervous.
“What bad news?” Laura scoffed as she laughed loudly trying to mask her nervousness, she’s now feeling like a bad person now, but why would Sebastian make sure a huge mistake.
“I’m so happy for you and sir Sebastian dear, I just can’t believe, this day would come, a day where he’ll have a family of his, I’m just so, oh my goodness!” She exclaimed as she felt that warm liquid flowing down her eyes, when was the last time she cried?.
Before Sebastian turned her, vampires are meant to be strong creatures, but the emotions building up within her was just so much that she couldn’t hold it any longer.
Even though she met Adia just a week ago, she’s come to like her alot, her genuine smile, cheerful self and kind self, it just felt so heartbreaking to know she’s not gonna live to see her children.
“Oh my gosh, you’re crying” Adia gasped,
“I, i, just can’t believe it, am so happy for you guys” Laura said leaning closer to hug Adia.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you’re my child’s godmother” Adia joked as Laura burst into another round of fresh tears, something she couldn’t explain, she couldn’t explain why she was crying, it felt so heartbroken, and she’s not even felt anything called pain since she became a vampire.
“Come on it’s okay, you’re making wanna cry too” Adia whispered patting her back softly, knowing well she’s not gonna live with her children, her marriage contract with Sebastian ends once she delivers.
“My gosh, why am I doing this?” Laura forced out a laughter as she wiped her eyes.
