Adia stood outside the building of Le surmatelas a la cafeine, waiting patiently for Laura who went to fix her makeup. She was still waiting when a lady bumped into her, as her things got scattered on the floor.

“Am so sorry” Adia apologized as they both bent down to pick up the items scattered on the floor.

“Am sorry, my sincere apologies” Adia repeated, as she stood up, she froze immediately she saw the woman’s familiar face, judging from her looks and the way she was dressed, she’s no ordinary woman.

“No problem,” the lady replied with a beautiful smile.

“Wait have we met before?” She asked taking off her sunglasses.

” I think,” Adia chuckled, trying to recollect where she met her.

“Wait a minute, at the hospital, you’re Sebastian’s wife right, oh my god, am Kate” Kate introduced herself, extending for a handshake.

“Yeah I remember, now, I’m Adia” Adia said smiling sheepishly, the last time she remembered, this woman was kinda rude to her.

“I know I acted out of it the last time we met, we didn’t even have a proper introduction, I’m sorry” Kate apologized, taking a good look at Adia, it was obvious Adia didn’t trust her, and how dare Cora try to deceive her, she’ll make her pay once she gets a hold of her, but right now, she has other pressing matters to attend to.

“I’m fine with that, I mean I even forgot it happened”

“You don’t have to forget Adia, so you’re carrying his child, hmm” Kate said with sarcasm as her lips curved up, but that only sent chills down Adia’s spine.

” Excuse me…” Adia stammered, staring intently at her.

“Come on, my brother told me about it” Kate smiled as Adia looked at her curiously.

“I meant Evans Montenero, he’s my brother”

“Oh” realization hit Adia, who just nodded continuously.

“You know what?” Kate began staring at Adia In the eyes as an evil look ghosted her face.

“You’re not gonna last any longer, I mean” Kate burst out laughing as Adia looked at her bewildered, Wondering if she had lost her mind.

Seeing Adia confused look, Kate realized she’s not even aware she’s dying soon,

“Wait you don’t even know, I would have told you already, but Sebastian will do that honor, right now, I’m just gonna play with you a little” Kate deadpanned, placing adia’s hair behind her ear.

Adia couldn’t help but feel scared for no reason, this woman’s presence gave her chills.

“Wait did he do it because you remind him of Aisling, oh poor Sebastian” Kate shook her head in a pitiful manner before bursting into another round of laughter.

“Excuse me, are you alright?” Adia couldn’t help but ask as she grabbed Kate’s elbow.

“You think I’m mad right,?” Kate asked, freeing herself from Adia’s hold.

“No, no, it’s just that i..”

“Come on darling, I can’t get mad, don’t worry too much, but actually I’m running mad” she blurted out as Adia eyed her with pity.

A saying truly says not all mad people run naked and dirty on the streets, there’re also some well dressed ones, like the same lady who calls herself Kate.

“Yes I am mad, I’m madly in love with Sebastian, I love him, and I’ll do anything to get him, I mean anything” Kate swore in a menacing tone shooting death glares at Adia.

“Oh” Adia murmured and realization hit her, this one was just another crazy ex, what she couldn’t fathom was why Sebastian’s crazy exes are always after her.

“I would have very much loved to kill you right now, but I love playing a lot, so I’ll do that some other time, right now I’ll just have fun,” she said, yanking Adia shoulders as their eyes met,From NôvelDrama.Org.

“Forget about everything I told you, you never met me, immediately you meet Laura, Walk into the road, and stand there until you get hit by a car” Kate compelled as Adia watched her in disbelief, stating she’s really mad, what’s she telling her to forget, and why would she stand in the middle of the road.

Before she could comment, Kate was gone from her sight,

” What a strange woman” Adia scoffed, looking around for Laura, who was already taking much time.

“Adia” Laura called from behind as Adia turned to face her.

“My goodness!” Adia exclaimed, what took her so long.

“I’m so sorry, I took a long time” Laura sincerely apologized.

“Let’s just leave this place” Adia said as the environment was already suffocating her.

“Off we go” Laura said as they walked to the car.

“Are you alright?” Laura asked, sensing Adia’s discomfort, she’s being rather strange.

“Am fine, just a slight headache, I’ll be fine soon” Adia said leaning her head backwards, her head really hurts for an unknown reason, like it really hurts a lot.

“Do you need water?” Laura offered, as Adia politely declined.

“No I’m fine”

“Alright, you’re pregnant, it happens often, just have a good rest” Laura advised, things must be really hard for Adia, she thought noticing the sheen of sweat gathered on her forehead, she looked not okay, or is it one of the side effects of bearing a vampire child, Laura wondered, but she knew only nothing about this.

“Adia, are you sure you’re fine?” Laura asked as they boarded the elevator, she’s looking so pale now.

“Not really, I guess I’ll have to go home earlier than scheduled” Adia replied, she’s being feeling okay earlier, she just began feeling discomfort immediately after meeting Kate.

“Alright then, ”

The duo got out from the elevator as Adia walked slowly into Sebastian’s office to get her purse and inform him that she was leaving.

At this very moment, she could already feel her surroundings spinning around her, she only managed to get into the office.

She saw Sebastian sitting down working, he was already back from his meeting,

“Hey” she waved weakly, picking up her bag.

“I’ll be going home early today” she informed as Sebastian nodded in approval without looking up, but something felt strange and he was forced to look up at her, she looked rather weak.

“Are you alright?” He asked,

“Yeah, I’m fine, it’s just, it’s just, I…i..” Adia stammered feeling a sharp pain, as the office revolved around her,

” I…I…” she stammered holding her head, as she was slowly losing consciousness.

“I….” She uttered weakly, finally giving in to the darkness that wanted to engulf her as her world finally went blank.

Sebastian senses heightened up, on seeing her strange behavior, he leaped to her like a lightening speed catching her before she fell to the ground, as he shook her pale body violently,

“Adia” he called alerted, squatting slowly and steady on the floor with an unconscious Adia wrapped in his arms.
