Lana Rhoades watched the woman Sebastian brought out walk out, she just couldn’t believe he would be with another woman a few months after they broke up, she grew hatred for the strange woman, the moment her eyes met hers.

Adia walked slowly and calmly into the halls, when she bumped into the starring lady from earlier, she had smelt something fishy before, now she’s bumped into her, which Adia knows was purposely she began to be more suspicious.

The unfamiliar lady apologized as Adia quickly waved her off.

She has not even gone far when she heard a voice.

“Ladies and gentlemen, our distinguished guests, may I get your attention please” Lana called with a wide smile on her face, gaining the attention of the people in the hall.

Her father was a respectable business mogul in the business world, that’s how she managed to date Sebastian, who basically broke up with her two weeks after the relationship, and that’s what infuriated her.

“We all know this is an auspicious occasion for all the elites and business moguls, ” she began, gaining Adia’s attention who knew something was up.

“All our jewelry cost not less than 20 million dollars” she continued as Adia gasped at the huge Amount of money they spent on a single necklace, it felt so expensive.

“I Know you all, might be wondering what am driving at, actually I don’t know when paupers ever get the chance to come in here, because this woman here is a thief” Lana yells pointing accusingly at Adia, who now Knows why she came across her, she obviously planted the necklace on her, but where?

“I’m not” Adia mumbles trying to defend herself, as the whole crowd are now murmuring, averting their attention to her.

“I’m sure you know only dignitaries are invited here, I’m sure she doesn’t even have a name, where’s your invitation?” Lana asked, glaring at Adia, who couldn’t help but wonder what she must have done to this woman, someone she has never met before in her life.

Is this how the rich behave, she thought looking for how to defend herself.

Adia was a calm person by nature, and usually didn’t know how to stand up for herself, she also hated getting attention, which is what she was getting now.

“I don’t have an invitation,” she muttered.

“You see, she doesn’t have an invitation, she probably sneaked in to seduce the men and steal, she’s not even invited” Lana claimed, feeling triumphant inside of her.

“I’m invited” Adia muttered again as Lana glared at her.

“Then show us your invitation, am sure everyone here would love to see that” Lana yelled Again, infuriated by her calm facade.

” I came here with my husband and I’m not a thief,” Adia replied.

” Husband” Lana sneered,

How dare she call Sebastian her husband, Lana fumed in anger glaring at Adia.

She clearly knows Sebastian was single, when did he ever get a wife, the last before her was definitely a pauper, she thought.

Adia was too stunned to speak, she could already hear the crowd mocking her as she felt as though she was the unluckiest person on earth.

Her little attempts to defend herself was unheard by the riveting crowd.

“I came with my husband,” she repeated again.

“And where’s that husband, I would love to see him?” Lana asked, maybe she’s lying, seeing Sebastian was nowhere around her.

“He’s here, she was brought by me,” a deep powerful voice sweeps through the halls that everywhere went quiet.

After hearing Sebastian’s voice, Adia immediately felt strength as she breathed in relief, her racing heart slowly calmed down as she felt a settling peace, every step he made towards her screams of power and confidence.

His hair is a bit cropped and disheveled giving him the most handsome look ever.

The crowd suddenly goes wide as he approaches, Adia didn’t even know when she rushed over to meet him, circling her arms around him.

“Sebastian” Lana’s face wears a sour look as Adia holds him.

He has a scary look on his face, as he pulls up Adia hands exposing a ring for everyone to see.

Adia looks startled, wondering when he placed a ring on her fingers, she clearly remembers that he never gave her a ring when they got into a contract marriage.

“This is my wife Adia,” he speaks in a cold voice that no one can dare argue with.

” But she stole from me” Lana manages to say as Sebastian glares at her.

” My wife is not some exhibition that anyone can touch, how can you prove your necklace is with her?” Sebastian asked, raising a brow at her.

“How, at least I remember, my wife never stayed near you, so how come she took it from you?” Sebastian asked, emphasizing on the word wife, making Lana angrier..

“Because she’s a thief, anything is possible” Lana defended as Sebastian shook his head lazily.

“Search her..” he ordered, pointing to Lana.

“But I’m the victim here”

“I think you should cooperate, and if you have no solid proof that my wife stole from you, you’re gonna lose your name in the business world, I’ll see to that” Sebastian threatened, as Lana nodded, standing tall, she knows they’re not going to find anything on her as she has slipped her necklace into Adia’s purse earlier when they bumped into each other.

Adia stood beside Sebastian fidgeting, she knows the necklace is on her, she didn’t steal it, but Lana dipped it into her purse, that’s why she’s acting so confident.
