Getting into his study room alongside Adia, Sebastian walked to a corner with shelves aligning it,
“I’m not going to read books Sebastian,” Adia stated, staring at the books lying on the shelves. She was sure they were books related to vampires because they looked so ancient.
“Trust me you can’t even read them, these books are older than your ancestors, now stop talking” he said softly , his ear was really itching him now, ever since Adia came in he was now talking more than usual.
Going over to a particular shelf he pulled out a book, as it made a cracked noise which sounded very displeasing to Adia.
To her dismay a secret passage came to view as both shelves parted revealing a passage which was lit up by a golden light, which Adia was sure was from a fire torch.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me!!, Mickelson has been under this roof the whole time!!!” She exclaimed in horror, so he’s been hiding Mickelson in the house all this time and no one even knew about it, how could he be so cocky?.
” Come on” he beckoned, ignoring her question, switching on his phone torchlight, as he pointed it on the ground.
Asides from the light coming from his phone, there were also fire torches aligning the walls, the place looked like a cave, it was also eerie and cold.
“What’s this place?” Adia asked her voice echoing all over the place, it’s so surprising that this kind of place exists in this house, yes, Sebastian’s house is very big that one might even get lost inside, but never in her wildest dreams did she expect this place to be here and in his study of all places and behind a bookshelf.
“Is that question really necessary, you want Mickelson, we’re going to get Mickelson, now no more questions” he snapped leading the way as they delved deeper into the enclosed cave.

” Aren’t we close already?” Adia gasped, placing her hands on her knees as she tried catching her breath. Sebastian has been leading her to an unknown place for like thirty minutes now and her legs were already damn weak.
“You want to rescue someone and don’t even have the capabilities to do so, what a shame, get up” he said, holding her hands, as he held her up.
“Easy for you to say, Mr vampire” she sneered panting really hard, her knees wobbling, making her fall back on the fall.
“Do you want to continue, or can we just go back?” He asked, waiting patiently for her reply as he just grinned mischievously.
“Never” she spat,
“I’d advise we go back, cause we still have a very long way down, we’ve not even gotten to the stairs, we’re going underground Adia, so it’s not too late to go back” he added, looking for every possible means to make her go back.
” No Sebastian, it’s not going to work, let’s go” she panted, getting up on her feet as she continued walking into the cave, an intrigued smile ghosted Sebastian’s face as he followed behind her, he’ll see how far she can go today.

” I can’t, I can’t….” Adia panted, falling weakly on the floor as she laid down on the stairs.
“We can still go back, I’ll carry you” Sebastian proposed as Adia looked at him with a sneer.
” You’re seriously torturing me Sebastian, I’m parched right now, my vision is blurry and my legs are already so weak, we’ve been walking to God knows where for close to an hour now, just stop this,” Adia pleaded wiping the sweat off her forehead.
Even though the place was cold she has been forced to sweat, she can’t even feel her legs anymore.
” I thought you wanted to be the savior of the day?” He sneered squatting in front of her, as he gave her a bottle of water.
” Have some water” he offered as Adia gave him a long look before grabbing the water from him as she gulped it down.
” So you had water all along??” She asked horrified immediately as she gained a little strength.
“I just thought maybe you’ll need it. Are you ready to continue the journey?” He asked,
“I’m pregnant..” Adia deadpanned glaring daggers at him, if eyes could kill probably Sebastian would already be dead.
“I Know..”

“Wa.. it did you just sm.. ile?” Adia stuttered pointing at him,
“No”
“Lies , I just saw you smile..” Adia uttered as her face lit up, this is the first time she’s seeing him smile, a genuine smile not the one that means nothing but danger.
” You just smiled Sebastian, right?” She asked happily, finding it difficult to believe that he actually smiled at her.
” No, you saw wrong, remember your vision is blurry so your eyes are playing tricks on you” he denied standing up in a swift move.
” That’s a lie Sebastian, you just smiled and trust me you looked so ethereal” she praised, he really looked good looking and the fact there were fire torches around made him look like a god under the golden sun.
“Your eyes are just tired, come on” he muttered, raising her up on her feet, supporting her, so she’ll not fall.
“What is it?” Adia asked startled, she still needs time to recuperate, while she looked like someone who’s been put on hard labor for days, he didn’t even look tired a bit and looked just as fresh as he was when they entered this place, he didn’t even look tired a bit, not did he stop to catch his breath,
Of course he’s a vampire, what was I expecting? Adia asked herself as she rolled her eyes,
” Hold still, you’re gonna feel very cold,” he informed carrying her in a bridal style, tucking her safely in his arms.
“What are you doing?” Adia asked, startled at this sudden movement of his.
“Hold tight” came his short response as he moved away swiftly with Adia in his arms, down the stairs, as it felt as if a mighty wind just came by that place.
