” I’ll miss you a lot,” Adia pouted as they released each other.
” Come here Addison,” she said as Addison rushed to hug her.
” Look how big you’ve grown now,” Adia commented, ruffling Addison’s hair.
” I Know right, Aunt Cora and uncle Evans have been really taking good care of me,” Addison said as Cora shot her a glare, why did she have to call Evans name, now Adia’s gonna bombard her with questions.
“Uncle Evans….?” Adia repeated confused,
Which Evans is Addison talking about?, She wondered silently.
“Yes, uncle Evans, the doctor who treated you, he’s been staying at our house for quite some time now,” Addison revealed, this time it was Adia’s turn to glare at Cora.
” We really have a lot to catch up on,” Adia mouthed to Cora who just grinned sheepishly.
” I’ll see you Adia, we really have to hit the road now, come on Addison, let’s go,” Cora chimed in, holding Addison by her wrists as they turned ready to leave, when Addison suddenly screamed excitedly.
” Uncle Sebastian,” she immediately released herself from Cora’s hold as she ran to Sebastian who was speaking with Malcom.
” Hey there little girl,” Sebastian said, turning to Addison who ran to hug him.
” Uncle Seb, I haven’t seen you for a long time, I really missed you a lot,” Addison pouted as Sebastian picked her up from the ground.

” Yes, I make the rules, but that doesn’t mean I behave as I like, I need to abide by my rules also, to set a good example for my employees,” Sebastian explained,
” I see..” Addison replied nodded her head slowly,
” Uncle Seb,” she called wrapping her hands around Sebastian’s neck,

” I would like to work for you when I grow up,” she said,
” Ohkay,” Sebastian replied as Malcom just stood waiting for Sebastian as he conversed with the little girl which he learned is Adia’s sister.
“Yehh, but won’t you be old by then?” Addison asked meaningfully,
“I think so, that’s why I’ll hand over my company to you, you’ll be the new boss,” Sebastian said as Addison shouted happily.
“So I’ll be the big boss,”
“Yes,”
“That would be so cool,”
“Uncle Sebastian,” Addison called, gaining Sebastian’s attention again.
“Yes,”
“Why don’t you smile?” She suddenly asked as Malcom choked at her question.
“Uncle Evans smiles a lot, everytime he comes to our house, but I’ve never seen you smile,” Addison reasoned,
“It’s not necessary,”
“But Adia said I have to smile at all times so I can always be pretty, if you don’t smile you’ll become so ugly and my sister will run away from here,” Addison said the last words whispering to his ear, but Malcom heard it loud and clear and wanted to burst out laughing at that moment, but managed to compose himself.
“That’s a lie Addison,” Sebastian began calling her name for the first time.
“Look at me for example, I’m more good looking than all the boys in your whole school put together, right?” Sebastian asked as Addison nodded affirmatively.
“But you claim you’ve never really seen me smile, which I can agree to, but I’ve always been good looking, I tend to get more handsome by the day, that’s why Adia will never leave, she’ll stick to me, you get that?”
“Yes,”
” Alright then, I think we’re done with that issue then, come on, I’ve got something for you” Sebastian said walking away with Addison still in his arms as Malcom followed behind them.

” You’ve got to be kidding me Cora, when did you and Evans become a couple?” Adia asked, excitement and anticipation bubbling up within her.
” We’re not a couple Adia,” Cora pointed out, cause they’re seriously not dating, just hooking up, they’re just giving each other bed company, that’s all, nothing else.
But how’s she gonna tell Adia that she’s hooking up with him, so she’ll just have to come up with a reasonable excuse.
“Jokes apart Cora, tell me everything, when did you start feeling something for him, at the hospital?” Adia asked as Cora massaged her temple, right now, a lot is going through her head now and she really doesn’t want to speak to anyone, even Adia.
The fact that Adia now knows about vampires is really bothering her, it’s bothering her deep down, because Adia still doesn’t know about her being one, she begged everyone to refrain her name from the list of vampires around Adia.
Adia might have forgiven the rest and has decided to move on, but her and Adia’s case are literally different, they’ve been friends for God knows how long, unlike the rest, Adia will never forgive her, because they’re best friends and best friends are not meant to keep secrets from each other.
“It was just a night Adia, his car broke down and he needed a place to crash, I was just being nice, that’s all,” Cora said, that was the best lie to give now, she just hopes Adia buys her lie.
” But Addison said he’s been visiting you guys frequently,” Adia said, confused.
” Addison is a kid Adia, you know how kids tend to blab a lot, I’ll have to go now, come on, let’s go get Addison,” Cory said, wrapping the issue up, she doesn’t want to talk about it any longer.
“Ohkay….” Adia stressed as they both left to get Addison.
“Adia!!” Addison called happily running to meet them.
“Look what uncle Sebastian got me,” Addison said happily, showing Adia a box.
“What’s that?” Adia asked curiously,
“An iPad, look,”
“I see, it’s pretty,”
” I Know right,” Addison responded, admiring her gift.
” Did you thank him?”
” Yh definitely, he promised to take me out once he’s less busy,” Addison informed,
” Come on Addison let’s go, you don’t want to be stuck in traffic, do you?” Cora asked as Addison shook her head.
” Then come on, let’s go, bye Adia” she waved, dragging Addison away.
“Bye Adia,” Addison waved too.
“Bye,” Adia muttered as she watched them leaving the house, why did it feel like something didn’t feel right with Cora.
