“What are you saying, all of this is unexplainable?” Sebastian questioned staring blankly at Evans.
“She’s not a witch Sebastian, I’ve tried everything I know, but couldn’t find any magic,” Evans explained as they both looked at Adia who was lying unconsciously on the bed, an IV fixed on her.
She’s been there for two days now.
” Then why is she not waking up?”
“She’s fine Sebastian, all her internal organs are in good working condition, she’ll just need time to recuperate, she’s probably still in shock about what happened” Evans explained regarding the fact that Adia knows about the existence of vampires now.
” Alright then”
” I’ve administered all the drugs, make sure she takes them once she wakes up, and this,” Evans said, giving him an ointment.
” Just apply it on all her wounds, they’ll be gone before you know it, ” Evans added, since vampire blood can’t heal her, so he came up with another alternative.
It pained him a lot knowing his sister did this to Adia, there’s no justification or whatsoever for what Kate did, all he knows is that she hurt Adia and she’s gonna pay according to her sins.
“I’ll see you man,” Evans said, patting Sebastian’s shoulders before walking away.
Sebastian stood watching Adia, she really didn’t deserve all this, it’s only a miracle she and the babies made it out alive, considering how vulnerable she is, she really fought well to stay alive, many people especially people in her state would have given up, he took one last look at her before leaving the place.

Adia squirmed as she heard people speaking in hushed tones,
Her eyes immediately sprang open, only for her to see the high ceilings of her bedroom,
I’m alive, she thought, looking around, and discovered that she was fixed on a drip, with Bandages wrapped around both of her wrists and on her head, everything that happened to her replayed on her head, Sebastian came for her, he didn’t let her die in the hands of Kate.
And she also found something shocking, Adia would have thought it was all a dream, the fangs, the way they leaped around and the speed they used in moving around, if not for the pains she was feeling.
The bandages on her wrists was enough evidence to know that all these things really happened to her, the disgusting Brandon and how he touched her, Adia felt bile forming at the depths of her stomach, when she remembered that scene.
Kate and her revelations, how she was endlessly tortured, how Sebastian slammed Kate’s head countless times on a tree, but she didn’t even flinch, the slaps he gave here, that were enough to remove a person’s tooth, when he grew fangs and fed her his blood, how she vomited it all out, it was all real, Vampires are real.

“Co.. ra” she called dryly at Cora who was sitting at the end of the room with Monica beside her.
“Adia!!!” Cora exclaimed happily as she rushed to Adia.
“Ma’am” Monica called, following after cora.
” Oh my god you’re alive” Cora gasped, engulfing Adia In a tight hug as Adia winced in pains.
” I’m so sorry, I got carried away, I thought I would never see you again” cora squealed hugging Adia again,
” Ma’am you’re awake” Monica said emotionally, her eyes brimming with tears.
“I.. I” Adia stammered, her throat really hurts, she has not had water for God knows how long.
“Get some water, quickly ” Cora motioned as Monica rushed to get a cup of water from the jug lying at the bedside, before handing it over to Adia.
“Thanks” Adia muttered gratefully, feeling better than before,
” I’ve been waiting for you to wake up, I never left your side Adia, it’s all my fault this happened to you, I’m so sorry” Cora apologized, little drops of tears falling from her eyes.
” How many days have I been out?”
” Two days, and these two days have been the most darkest of days here” Monica responded, no one even dared smile in the house, everything was done with utmost seriousness, the madame of the house was battling for her life, the master was very angry, and could erupt anytime because of the wife’s condition, and she just lost her only sister, her twin.
” My goodness,” Adia exclaimed, moving her hands to her tummy as she grasped it.
” My baby..”
” They’re fine, Sebastian made sure nothing happened to them,”
Cora informed happily,
” Them..” Adia repeated,
” Yes them, you’re carrying twins Adia!!” Cora squealed with joy, engulfing her in another hug.
” I’m so happy for you,” Cora said, pecking Adia’s forehead.
” Twins..” Adia stuttered in disbelief as she broke into a smile caressing her stomach.
“Yes ma’am, congratulations” Monica said smiling widely, this news was enough time to make her happy, Adia was doing fine.
” You need to see how worried Sebastian was?” Cora said chuckling,
“Where’s Sebastian?” Adia suddenly asked, she needed to speak to him at this moment. She deserves a good explanation for all this. If Sebastian is a vampire, does that mean she’s also carrying vampire children in her womb.
“Sebastian, he left few hours ago, he had to take care of something” Cora answered,
“I need to speak with him” Adia said with a note of urgency in her voice,
“Alright then, I’ll send for him immediately, I know he’ll come running once he hears you’re awake” Cora said picking up her phone as she walked out of the room.
“But…” Adia began as Monica stopped her from saying anything further,
“Have a good rest first, then we’ll talk…”Monica said, helping her lay back on the bed.
” Let me see your left hand,” Adia muttered grabbing Monica’s hand before she could shift it backwards.
“Weeks ago, you had a Bandage around your hands, how come they’re no longer here,?” Adia asked in horror as Kate’s words hit her, that she’s living with vampires under her roof,
There’s no way Monica would have healed this fast, Adia didn’t pay enough attention to this seeing she started working, but now everything was beginning to make sense,
“Are you a vampire too,?” Adia asked as Monica froze, gulping down nervously.
