Adia walked out of her room, as Monica immediately ran to hug her.
“Adia!!” She squealed happily, engulfing Adia In a tight hug, how much she missed her.
“How are you Monica?” Adia questioned, her face beaming with smiles, she’s happy that she’ll finally settle down with her for some time. For the last time she came, Sebastian took her away immediately after, because of Moreau ‘s presence, though she loved spending some time with him alone, she also wanted to be with them.
“I’m fine..” Monica chuckled, feeling so happy to see Adia, she was not able to see her the last time, she learnt that she left with Sebastian again.
“Me too..”
“Come down for breakfast..’ Monica gestured leading Adia downstairs.
“I’ve missed you a lot…” Monica said, as Adia smiled.
“Me too..”
Monica’s life lately has just been unexplainable, her fake relationship with Ace and all, she spends most of her time with her mother, as she can’t stand being in his presence.
“Where are the others?” Adia asked, seeing the house was kind of empty, except from the workers of course, you were stationed in their various working places.
“I heard the elders are having a meeting..” Monica informed helping Adia sit.
“Oh..” Adia exclaimed, guessing it must be serious, she discovered Sebastian was gone when she woke up, it must be a serious matter then that he left without telling her.
“I overheard it’s about you..” Monica whispered.
“Me?” Adia asked in shock,
“Yes you, I overheard from Ace and his mother, I think it’s concerning your babies, it’s best you ask Sebastian once he comes back..” Monica waved that off, it sounded urgent, but she was not able to get enough details, though she knows it’s about Adia.
“Oh…”
“Here, have your tea, it’s herbal…” She informed pouring tea for Adia into a cup.
“Thanks..” Adia appreciated,
“You’re welcomed…”replied Monica, taking her seat as well to have her breakfast.
“Oh Eloise, I forgot to call her down for breakfast…” Monica muttered, hitting her head, she totally forgot about that.
“Who’s Eloise?” Adia asked curiously,
“Oh I totally forgot, I’m not sure you’ve met her, she’s a girl Arion brought back with him…”
“Oh I see..”
“Yh, don’t worry she’s a very sweet girl..” Monica praised, she loved the girl’s energy, she literally has nothing to worry about and is carefree.
“Arion brought a woman…” Adia eyes flew opened as she queried Monica,
“Not a woman, he just brought her with him, I think they have a special relationship, he always checks up on her and makes sure she’s fine, but I’m not sure if they have a romantic relationship, just friends I think…” Monica shrugged her shoulders, and Arion seemed to care about the girl.
“Oh there she is, speak of the devil, Eloise…..” Monica called Eloise, who was alighting from the stairs, as Adia turned to see her, and was pretty shocked when she saw her, she’s younger than she expected, very young.
“Good morning Monica…” Eloise smiled as she walked to the dining room.
“Morning..”
“Good morning..” she said turning to Adia, who she hasn’t met before, as she wondered who she was, but the moment she saw her baby bump, she guessed Adia must be the one they’re trying to save.
“Good morning…” Adia flashed a warm smile at her.
“Join us for breakfast Eloise…” Monica beckoned as Eloise sat down gingerly.
“Thank goodness, I’m starving…” she drew out, as Monica served her dish, Monica is one sweet soul that she has come to like very much, in fact everyone in this house is very nice and sweet.
“Dig in both of you…” Monica gestured gingerly,
“Aren’t you eating…I literally forgot, you’re a vampire…” Eloise giggled, digging into the delicious meal served in front of her.
“I’ll have my own meal later..” she stated,
“Adia, I’ll get your medicines…” Monica offered standing up.
“No need, I’ll take them when I go back in..”
“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it…” Monica insisted, striding away.
“Hi..” Eloise waved nervously at Adia, who smiled sheepishly at her.
“I’ve heard a lot about you..” Eloise said smiling,
“Oh…”
“Yes, I can’t believe I’ve finally met you..” she said,
“You’re pretty…” Eloise admired,
“Thanks..”
“When did you come back?” Eloise questioned, she was expecting to see her when she came here, but she learnt she left with her husband.
“Last night, you were probably asleep when I arrived here..” replied Adia,
“I see, you must like it around here right?” She asked, as Adia gave her a questioning gaze.
“Oh I mean, living with the vampires, you’re human, and you’re married to one…” she explained,
“Oh yes I do, don’t you like it here?”
“Of course I do ..” Eloise giggled,
“I’ll get it for you..” Eloise offered seeing Adia was trying to reach for a glass of water, as she helped her to get it.
“Here…”
“Thanks..” Adia muttered, collecting the glass from Eloise.
Eloise froze as Adia’s hand grazed against hers.
“Are you alright?” Adia asked curiously, seeing Eloise’s eyes wide open.
“You’re In pains…” Eloise stammered blinking her eyes repeatedly, as Adia stared at her in confusion.
“What do you…?”
“You’re currently in so much pain Adia, and you’re hiding it from everyone..” she spoke out as Adia froze, how did she know about that, well she’s been feeling pains for some time now, it seems like the blood that has been infused into her is becoming ineffective, but how did Eloise know about that?
“How do you…” she stammered tapping Eloise shoulders,
“W. h.. at!!” Eloise stammered, snapping out of her trance.
“You’re suffering, Adia..” she muttered in a low tone.
“What are you saying….” Adia voice trailed off, now Eloise is really scaring her, she’s acting so strange.
“I’m so sorry…” Eloise said quickly, as she stood up.
“What are …”
“I’m Sorry, don’t take whatever I said to heart, I was just bluffing…” Eloise chuckled sheepishly, she just lost it a while ago.
“What are you??” Adia stammered out of words.
“Sorry I have to go…” Eloise said running off, as she went straight to her room, Adia stared suspiciously at Eloise as she left, something felt very eerie about her.
