Omega Princess

Chapter 14

I giggled at him, shaking my head. Vincent let out a little growl. "She is my mate," he said with a sad but warning voice.

"I gathered that," Eric said but growled, "she said you hit her and linked me to come help. By the way, Filli, how did you do that?"This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

"She linked you! Reminder she is my mate and your future Luna." Vincent roared, taking a step towards Eric. I took a step in between the two males. This got me a hurt look from Vincent, but he deserved it. He moved to his desk to sit and I followed to sit across from the desk with Eric on my right in the other chair.

"I did link him. I am not sure if it was wolf or magic, but I would think magic as my wolf is worn out by all my magic," I said. Vincent growled. I returned it with a roll of my eyes. "We needed to talk and neither of us could be trusted to stay calm in doing so. Sorry Eric, but you are the only one I trust." This earned another low growl from Vincent. Which I ignored.

"I am happy to help you, Luna, any way I can." Eric said, beaming.

"I am not your Luna, please just call me Filli. Once I figure some of this stuff out and I know Katie will be safe, I will leave. I will be able to accept your rejection, Vincent." Looking at Vincent, it looked like he had been punched in the stomach.

"I will not reject you," Vincent said, and my mouth dropped open in surprise. I stared at him, my body beginning to warm. His grey eyes had slight blue undertones that were making my core drip.

"Do you want me to leave?" Eric said in a mocking tone, looking at me. This snapped me out of my trance. Damn the mate bond. I need to stay focused. He was just like Dane brutal. I couldn't trust him.

"We have many things to discuss," I started. Vincent finished. "Yes, let's start with why you think my dad murdered your father? He would not have done that without the cause, are you sure?"

"Actually no. There were rumors that the Alpha of Dark moon had done it. But I was always told by the Luna that he was sent to Violet Moon to discuss a trade deal and his head was returned to the pack house. The Luna was nice to me. I trusted what she said. I am not sure what really happened though. That day we were attacked by rogues, and I did what I did here. That time was not on purpose. I was only 9. I lost everything I had left that day. My beta status was changed to omega, Katie's parents had died, I was moved into a closet of a room, only fed scraps and people began to beat me daily." I hadn't noticed that tears were streaming down my face as I recounted this. Eric had reached over to hold my hand. "This was due to your father killing mine."

"This can't be true." Vincent walked over to me and knelt in front of me and took my hand from Eric. I could feel the tingling sensation. "I will find out the truth. Since I interrupted your breakfast, maybe you can meet my family for lunch. I just can't believe he would do that without some provocation." He was looking at me with hope in his eyes.

"I will meet with them." I stated, slowly removing my hands from his. Feeling the longing for the warmth to return. I turned away from him and looked at Eric. "Eric, how long is Katie going to be with Reagan? Can your parents watch her through lunch, so she doesn't have to be there for any details?" I shuddered thinking of Katie hearing about how my father was beheaded.

Eric's eyes glazed over as he linked with someone. "My mom said she is happy to look after her and she is planning a family dinner so they can meet you for tonight. Vincent, you are invited too."

"Eric, tell your mom thank you. I would love to meet them." I said with a smile which earned me a growl. "Stop growling every second."

"I can't help it. You are MY mate, and I am an alpha. HE is my gamma, and you are lucky your flirting hasn't gotten him killed." Vincent yelled at me.

"I am not flirting with him. He has done nothing but be supportive of me and his family has taken such good care of Katie. I owe them my life for treating her so well." I growled back. He was looming over my chair with his face so close I could feel his breath on my lips. My chest was rising and falling so fast. I couldn't tell if it was because I was angry or very aroused by his closeness. Damn mate bond!

I cleared my throat, "my turn to ask you what I came here to ask you. Can Katie and I stay here until I can figure out what I am and where we can go to be safe? Dr. Rosenbaum is excited to work with me to figure out my magic and wolf balance. He is already running some bloodwork. Michel knows how I can be an asset to your warriors." I was rattling I know, but he was just staring at me.

"You are my Luna..." I started to interrupt but he leaned back from my chair and put his hand up to stop me. "I am sorry for how I reacted. I will make it up to you and I will gain your trust. Until that time I am honored to have you here."

"Great, I will need to make arrangements for a living space for Katie and I." I said.

"You can come live at my parent's house." Eric quipped. He got an evil look from Vincent. "I don't live there anymore, remember? As your Gamma, I live here."

"Oh, I can't impose any more than I already have." I stated.

"My parents will love it and that way they can help with Katie when you are busy."

Vincent looked between us and frowned. He was cute when he frowned. His eyes made his forehead wrinkle. He said "I think that is a good idea. Eric, I know your parents have been needing something to do since their troublesome son left the house."

I giggled. Vincent looked at me and for the first time he lit up. His smile was brilliant. It reached his eyes, which sparkled, and I could feel warmth radiating off him.

"I wasn't that bad," Eric whined. Which just made me laugh more.

"I do have many stories I could share," Vincent teased. "It is about lunchtime, and we need to meet with my parents. We are meeting at their home a few miles away. Do you want to shift or take the car?"

I searched for Sasha but she had not returned. "I can't shift right now. It will have to be the car." I looked at Vincent and at the floor. He was looking at me shocked.

"Yeah, Vincent, her wolf and her magic don't co-exist well, something the moon goddess told her. She must have used magic to link me." Eric said, beaming as he remembered that fact. Luckily, I hadn't told him the whole story about how I got to keep both if fully mated. The moon goddess sure liked to tempt fate, giving me this one.

"

OK, car it is." Vincent glanced my way encouragingly and I gave a weak smile. He continued, "Eric, don't you have training to lead and you may want to eat. I am sure the Luna..." "Filli," I interrupted.

"Filli," he said while reaching for my hand to help me out of the chair. "Can always link you again if there is trouble." This last part was said with a hint of anger or maybe jealousy.

Eric took the hint and headed out the door. Vincent led me through the pack house and opened the car door. His hand slid to the lower part of my back as he helped me in. His scent was overpowering, and my breath started to increase. I started at him wanting so badly to kiss him. Just like that, he slammed the door and walked to his side, jumped in and we were off.

We are staying, but I will not be his Luna.
