Two days, that’s how long it’s been since me and Pedro have been on the run and it already felt like hell. If it was so easy for Emelia to kidnap my children in Vercixe then it would be no task for her to find me. In order for me to disguise myself, I dyed my hair blond. 

Pedro dyed his hair and wore a body suit that made him look fat inside his clothes. We were in a motel watching the news when a breaking news came in. 

“Legendary business man and father to the controversial twins Kade and Klyde Harold – Duke Harold has died. He died in his sleep last night at his apartment and his wife Emelia Harolds has assumed the role of CEO.” 

“she won,”Pedro said and I gritted my teeth, squeezing my fists as anger, pain, disgust and rage attached me all at once. As I saw Emelia’s face while she cried fake tears, talking about her devastated she is about his death and how it was his will for her to inherit everything since his sons are currently unable to, I just wanted to strangle her but…I took deep breaths and sighed.

“The worst thing is my grand children, their mother fled with them for fear that I would take them from her and they’ve been missing for two weeks now. The news just came to me that they’ve been found dead.” 

“What?!”I exclaimed, getting up from the chair I was sitting on and glaring at the TV.

‘ turn it off! The TV- turn it off!”Pedro yelled.

“Turn it off? Oh I’ll do more than that.”I said before grabbed the TV and smashed to the ground. 

He stared at me but sighed because he knew my motherly instincts were really all over the place. 

“If she says we’re dead. It means she plans killing us before anyone could ever find out that we’re actually alive. We need to leave now!” 

That was the last time we stayed at that motel. We spent the next three months in hiding strategizing how we would get justice for Kade and my children who I knew very well in my heart would be alive. 

I was already four months pregnant and I was doing my very best to be in the right state of mind while carrying this child. Whether or not it was Klyde’s was something I chose never to think about. 

Now that I know what to do, I must be very careful not to screw it up. I will sue Klyde for kidnap and sexual assault now that I have proof of his actions. The chances of me losing this case was high because Emelia would never let me win but it’s better than being quiet. 

Besides, I need to see Kade. It’s been so long. 

After filing my lawsuit against Klyde, I went straight to the talk show that Nina helped me get a session in. I was backstage already, heaving as I thought to myself, “it’s now or never. After this you cannot back out.” 

“Today’s guest is a woman who has been known for several controversial issues since the first day her name was mentioned on the internet for being the mother oti the children of Kade Harold but she had been pronounced dead along with her children since for three months now but contrary to popular belief, she is alive and here to tell us her side of the story. Everyone please welcome Viola Harolds.” 

I made my way to the stage and sat down on the couch meant for the guest as the audience whispered and gasped in disbelief.

“Wow!”the host said, she was a middle aged American woman and I had never liked her show because of how controversial her topics were but I needed that controversy today.

“So Mrs Harold –”

“– call me Viola, please.”I said politely and she nudged her glasses, smiling at me before she said, “okay”

“Can you please tell us how it is that you’re alive?” 

“Well, I fled with a friend after I heard about my husband’s arrest.”I said simply.

“Why did you flee?”

“because Emelia was planning to kill me.”I said and the crowd gasped, some were nodding their heads in belief others were just simply surprised.

“that’s a very big accusation, why would you say that.” 

“Its easy. She wanted the company, she pitted her son’s against each other by using me as a the target and cause of it all. She only needed to get rid of me and the children so how best to do it than try to get us killed.”

“Do you have proof of this,” 

“Emelia is really smart, she never got her hands dirty in anything. She always made Klyde do her dirty work so I have proof of all that Klyde has done on her behalf. I’ve filed lawsuit against him and he will answer for his crimes” 

“Your husband is in jail right now, do you not think he has a crime to answer to?”

“He only tried to protect me because his brother sexually assaulted me for three days straight out of spite for my husband.” 

The audience were thrown into pandemonium at my accusation.

“He raped you? A man who you used to sleep with –”

“– that was years ago, when I did not know the manner of man Klyde was. I don’t expect you to believe me because the only image you guys know of him is a very handsome man with a pretty convincing innocent smile and charisma. You don’t really know what he’s like so..” 

“If I understand you correctly, you’re saying that Emelia Harold somehow convinced Klyde to assault you in order for Kade to retaliate in some very manner, something terrible enough to get him in jail and also bad enough to leave Klyde in a very bad condition just so she could have a better chance at owning the company?” 

“I Know how it sounds, but yes – that’s exactly what I’m saying but like I said, I don’t expect you to believe me. I only wanted to make sure the world knows that Emelia is a liar. She declared me and my children dead and has been selling properties worth millions of dollars to wealthy people from around the world.” 

“you’re accusing THE Emelia Harolds of such a terrible crime as this?” 

“yes I am. She was so confident in the interview when she said we were all dead because she intended on killing us anyway. If that wasn’t her intention then she wouldn’t have said something like that in the first place.” 

“Thank you for your time, Viola. It’s a shame I couldn’t interview you for longer. I would love to hear more of your story.”

“Thanks for having me.”I said and then with shaky legs I made my way backstage. 

I was escorted by men from Pedro’s brother’s gang until I got to their lair where I have been hiding from Emelia for this long.

“You did great,”Pedro said hugging me tight.

“I hope my children will be safe after what I just did.” 

“they will, trust me. She can’t kill them.”He said and I nodded quietly, praying that they really will be alright. 

I couldn’t see Kade anymore because when I came out of the talk show building, there were certain people following me. 

I’ll try and see him some other time.
