After Candice returned to the ward, she did not say a word about what had happened at Alex's ward.

Candice looked at Yana, and Yana touched her nose. "Sieg came to see me this morning and said Alex's condition isn't very good. He didn't cooperate during the medication change and refused to

take his medicine. He just stares into space every day. Finally, last night, he gave himself a high fever."

Candice lowered her eyes. "If he doesn't care about his own body, what can others do?"

Yana looked at Candice with a complex expression. Of course, she would not mention that Sieg came to ask her to inquire if Candice could go and see Alex.

So she changed the subject and said, "Sieg asked if he could bring Baby Mulberry up to see Alex, just for a moment. He wants to give Alex something to take an interest in. After all, he is ill now. If this continues, who knows what might happen."

Alex's condition these past two days was really bad. Yana had initially thought Sieg was exaggerating, but when she saw it herself, she realized it was true.

Alex sat on the sofa. Although the curtains were open, letting in the sunlight, he gave off a very cold feeling.

It was not his usual cold attitude, but an emotional coldness, as if nothing could pique his interest.

His pitch-black eyes and pale skin contrasted sharply at this moment, giving him a suppressed melancholic aura.

Ellis just smiled, reaching up to touch his face and said in her tender voice. "Play... want to play... lift me high high."
