After waiting for over ten minutes, Natalie finally received a response from Skylar. “Not asleep yet. Are you missing me?”

Skylar had just finished showering and was standing on the balcony in her pajamas. She gazed at the beautiful moonlit night.

There was even someone playing the violin across the street. The soft strains of the violin music drifted into her ears.

Natalie reaching out to her at this hour must have meant something was on her mind.

Skylar texted back, “How was the fondue?”

Natalie replied, “It was delicious. I ate so much that my stomach hurt. I guess it’s been a while since I had it. Mr. Powell brought me to the hospital, but fortunately, everything’s fine now. We’re on our way back to the hotel. I promise not to overeat like that again.”

Skylar frowned slightly. “How are you feeling now?”

Natalie responded, “The pain is gone, but I’m still a bit weak. I’ll rest well once I get back to the hotel. By the way, I have some gossip to share. I saw two people with Clusian features at the hospital. They came to the hospital together, but they’re not a married couple. They’re having an affair.

“As I was leaving, a mutual friend recognized them and angrily said that the man was no good. He even mentioned that his wife was so beautiful, yet he was still cheating on her. Don’t you think if his wife saw this, she’d be heartbroken?”

Skylar’s face darkened as she read Natalie’s lengthy message, and she fell into deep thought.

After a while, she finally replied, “It’s inevitable to feel hurt, but a cheating scumbag deserves only a few

minutes of sadness.”

Natalie held her phone tightly, anxiously waiting for Skylar’s response. When she finally received a reply, she sighed with relief.

Skylar was right. Such a scumbag who cheated on his partner only deserved to be upset for a few minutes. Anything more would be unfair to oneself.

In the span of just a few moments, Natalie’s expression shifted from deep worry to a sudden sense of liberation as she read Skylar’s message.

Austin watched from the side, a faint smile playing on his lips. Then, he figured out how he wanted to

handle things with her.

20 minutes later, Austin and Natalie arrived back at the hotel. As they exited the elevator, Natalie was about to thank Austin and say goodnight when he said, “Let me walk you to your room.”

Natalie blinked, unsure how to refuse. She simply nodded and said, “Thank you.”

As she opened the door with her key card, Austin suddenly said, “Goodnight.”

His voice was pleasantly seductive, and the two were standing very close.

Natalie froze, her heart pounding uncontrollably.

“Goodnight, Mr. Powell,” she said and nodded dazedly. Her hand trembled as she closed the door.

Natalie felt that Austin had acted strangely that night. Even a casual comment or glance from him made

her heart race.

She wondered why he seemed more captivating than the character he was currently playing. It was as if just one look from him could leave her feeling completely unsettled.

She quickly shook off the thought. It must be her stomachache making her hallucinate.

Just as she was about to undress and shower, she heard a knock on the door.

She wondered if it could be Austin. She hurriedly opened the door.

The name “Mr. Powell” slipped out without thinking, but she didn’t finish the rest of her question. Standing at the door wasn’t Austin at all–it was Jeremy.
