My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1428

Rosa was a bit surprised. Although there weren't too many people at the campus gate earlier, there were still enough coming and going.novelbin

It seemed that Rosa and Stephen were too noticeable. They stood out so much that it was easy for someone to take immediate notice of them. Rosa thought that Stephen's girlfriend was overly dramatic, making a fuss over the smallest things.

Sometimes, these young women were just too naïve. They believed their boyfriends had to report every little detail, including who they were meeting or what they were doing.

Privately, Rosa felt that Stephen should care more about her, not some immature college girl who didn't understand anything.

To be honest, this woman was meddling too much, making her rather unlikable. Besides, Stephen seemed visibly tense after hearing the woman's question. His reaction made it seem like Rosa was less important in his eyes compared to Simona.

"Yeah, it's my boss. She had something to discuss with me. I'll explain everything when I get back," Stephen replied, his heart pounding wildly. Panic surged through him. Despite all his caution, he couldn't believe someone still recognized him.

Simona wasn't someone who would pursue a matter relentlessly. Even though she wasn't satisfied with Stephen's answer and felt he was hiding something, she knew she couldn't explain it further over the phone.

So she simply responded with an "Alright" and hung up.

Since Stephen had promised to explain, she would wait and see what he came up with. She hoped he wouldn't disappoint her or betray her trust. Even though Simona didn't press further, Stephen wasn't feeling optimistic. His face turned grim as soon as he ended the call.

Rosa looked a bit unhappy. Frowning, she said, "Didn't you say you wanted to break up with her? Why hasn't that happened yet? From how you look, it seems like you really like her.

"If that's the case, then don't bother breaking up. We can keep things simple between us—just a boss and an employee."

She had come over excited, hoping to surprise Stephen, maybe even book a hotel room near campus for a romantic gateway. But then, Simona's phone call completely ruined the mood.

Rosa needed to make it clear that she wouldn't allow him to juggle two relationships. Stephen's expression shifted as he took in her words. He was already overwhelmed, and now Rosa was pressing him further.

He lowered his head to hide his discomfort. "did bring up breaking up with her a while ago, but she refused. She even threatened to jump off a building. I haven't graduated yet, and I don't want to

cause a scene at this point

So I told

her I wouldn't break up for now.

"It's my fault. I'll just wait a couple of months until after graduation to end it. We haven't seen each other much during this time, and I hope she'll come to her senses."

Rosa's mood brightened at his words. Maybe she had overthought things. Stephen's feelings for her weren't fake after all.

"Girls these days are spoiled by their families, so it's understandable that they can develop a bad temper. Don't worry, I understand and won't overthink it," Rosa said, adopting a caring older sister demeanor

She wanted to create a stark contrast between herself and Simona, making it clear that despite Simona's young age, she couldn't compare herself to Rosa in many ways.

As they strolled through the park, Rosa noticed it was empty. She had been hoping for a moment alone with Stephen, where he could pull her into a passionate kiss.

But today, he seemed lost, barely speaking, and he wasn't as eager to be close to her as usual.
