Love's Redemption

Redmption 219

Redmption 219

I looked at Brandon as I remembered Tom, whom I used to call Mr. Elordi when I was little. The thought that Brandon wanted to stay close to me made me ask, “Brandon, are you flirting with me because you like me?”

“Why else? Do you think I’m just playing around with you?” He looked me in the eye without hesitation.

“Are you hiding something from me? Like… maybe we knew each other a long time ago?” On my way back or maybe ever since I learned about Tom’s identity, this question had been gnawing at me.

Brandon’s eyes flickered for a moment. “When you were little, I piggybacked you. And… you kissed me.”

Brandon had a way of catching me off guard. If I hadn’t had my fair share of romantic experiences, his words would have made me blush furiously.

“Really? Where did I kiss you?” I asked directly.

He took a step closer. We were already close to each other, but with this step, the space between us nearly vanished. My heart skipped a beat but I didn’t pull away.

Brandon looked at me, his breath warm against my forehead as he looked down at me. “Do you want me to show you?”

I was speechless.

At that moment, I was absolutely certain that Brandon was pretending to be an honest man while catching people off guard. He was definitely a pro at flirting.

My face inevitably flushed and I found myself too embarrassed to meet his gaze.

“Dream on,” I muttered before turning and running off. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

I heard Brandon chuckle softly behind me. I was convinced that he was teasing me on purpose. Suddenly, a memory surfaced. It was a dream I once had. I was on Brandon’s back playfully tugging and scratching him while calling him Bran. Could that have been more than just a dream? Was it real?

However, there was no way to know for sure. I was too young back then. The only people who might have known about it were my parents and they were no longer here. Only Brandon might have the answers. He was much older than me, so he probably remembered,

But there was no way I could bring myself to ask him about it.

Even though I was running, Brandon’s long strides caught up to me. The lights here are all set up. Do you have time tonight?”

I knew he wanted me to see the lighting effects he had been working on, but my heart was still racing from his teasing. So, I said on purpose, “Nope. I’m busy

“When do you have the time then?” Brandon asked.

“I’m not sure yet. I… Just when I was about to say something to keep him on his toes, my phone rang. It was a call from Derick.

I remembered that I had asked him for a favor. I gestured to Brandon and stepped aside to take the call. Derick.”

“Where are you?” Derick asked casually.

“I’m outside,” I answered and immediately asked again, “Did you find out anything about what I asked??

“What?” Derick sounded confused.

I was about to roll my eyes, thinking Derick had forgotten about my task and was an unreliable person when he added, “You meant the investigation on that person? Yeah, I’ve got some leads.”

I realized he was teasing me and let out a small laugh. I knew I could count on you.”

“Of course, I’m Derick. If you want to know the details, meet me at Star Empire at seven,” Derrick said as I looked at Brandon instinctively.

If I agreed to meet Derick, I wouldn’t be able to see the lights with Brandon tonight. I was just teasing him when I told him I was busy tonight. In fact, I wanted to see the amusement park lights.

After a couple of seconds, I replied to Derick, “Can’t you just tell me over the phone? I…” “If you want to know, come meet me.” Derick cut me off and hung up.
