“Please, the party’s over here,” Jenna said and started towards where she just pointed and Ben followed with Belle by his side.

“O my god, it’s Ben Larkson!” One of the ladies there informed her friends the moment Ben walked towards where the little crowd was. He didn’t mix with everyone, he stayed at a safe distance with Belle because although many of the guests present were elites, they were some who were willing to overstep their boundaries when it came to him(Ben).

“She really did convince him to come like she said she would.” Another person said as they all looked on, some with drinks in their hands.

“Who’s that with him?” Whispered questions started to arise among the little crowd.

“Yeah, there’s a lady with him.”

“I’m sure it’s just a model he hired for today.”

“No, I don’t think so, I’ve not seen or heard of her before.”

“She might be an upcoming model, look at her skin, she has to be a model to have such clear skin.”

“And she’s with Ben Larkson.”

“I know right, lucky her.”

“Yeah, she is sooo lucky.”

“Let me go get Jason, he is busy talking to one of my colleagues who I just introduced him to,” Jenna said leaving them for another part of the open space to go get her fiance.This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

“Aren’t we going to sit and have some food with others?” Belle asked because she was hungry.

“No, I want to take you to lunch somewhere else.”

“But I’m hungrryyyyy.”

“You can eat me.” He chuckled after saying that because she rolled her eyes.

“I’m really hungry Ben,” She pouted with her little lips which he found alluring.”How long are we going to be here before  we go have lunch elsewhere like you just said?”

“Not too long, I just have to meet her fiance and we will leave immediately, okay?” He said with both his hands in his trouser pockets but didn’t get a reply from her, instead, he saw that her lips became more protruded. She was pouting more, like a sulking child and it made him smile more.

He looked up and was glad to see Jenna walking back with someone behind her; it was her fiance, Jason.

“So Jason, I told you my brother was going to make it like he promised,” Jenna started when she returned to where Ben and Belle stood waiting.

Ben narrowed his eyes at the man as Jenna continued talking;

“Ben, you finally get to meet my boyfriend-turned-fiance, Jason.” She smiled widely, really happy for Ben to be meeting him. “Jason, Ben.”

“Nice to meet you, I almost thought I won’t get to meet you till the day of our wedding.” Jason joked and brought out his hand for a handshake but Ben didn’t take it, his hands remained in his trouser pockets where they were. Jason took his hands back after Ben didn’t take it, it was obvious that Ben didn’t find his joke funny at all because he wasn’t even smiling and his facial expression was not helping in any way to determine what he was thinking, it just remained as cold as it got when he(Jason) returned with Jenna.

He was previously nervous to meet Ben but now it was more than nervousness, it was fear. He had so much heard the things Ben was capable of.

“What about her, aren’t you going to introduce me to her?”  Jason asked with hopes of lightening up the atmosphere between the four of them.

“Oh yeah, this is Belle, Ben’s…. uhm….” It occurred to Jenna that she didn’t know what Belle was to Ben or what relationship her cousin’s brother had going on with the woman standing next to him. She looked at Ben for him to say who Belle was to him but Ben didn’t say anything she wanted him to.

“She is with me and I don’t think you need to be introduced to her,” Ben said and Belle just looked down, making a mental note to ask him where she stood with him later on, after they must have left here for the lunch he said they would have afterward.

“You do know what it is to be getting married to my Jenna right?” Ben asked in a non-friendly voice and Jason swallowed.”It’s more than just being her boyfriend, it’s not as easy, you are getting into something more serious, I hope you know that?”

“I do.”

“Good.” Ben said a word Belle was familiar with.”You are going to take care of her like you would a precious egg if she ever comes to me with a complaint relating to you….” Ben didn’t have to finish his sentence for Jason to catch up on what he meant. Jason nodded slowly, trying to hide his fear for the man in front of him.

“If you hurt her, I will hurt you,” Ben said finally before taking out his hands in front of Jason now, requesting a handshake which he had earlier rejected. Jason shook hands with him and Ben gave him a stern look that he was sure he would remember whenever he had one of the little arguments he had with Jenna.

“Glad to have met you,” Ben said with a smile that was just as unfriendly as his tone of voice.

“You too.” Jason managed to say.

“Am I free to leave now?” Ben asked his cousin’s sister and she smiled making Jason wonder how Ben was the closest to her in their whole extended family because she had mentioned many times about her personal relationship with the dreaded Ben Larkson.

“Let me see you out,” Jenna said and left a kiss on her fiance’s right cheek before walking away with Ben and Belle, finally he (Jason) could breathe a sigh of relief.
