“Hey!” Seno turned the iron door knob with thunderous anger, about to threaten a pay cut, but looking at the guards’ gaze, his eyes suddenly almost popped out of their sockets.

“RAISE YOUR HANDS!”

The special forces unit pointed their guns at Seno and his henchmen.

“RAISE YOUR HANDS!” the unit commander commanded for the second time with a voice that thundered like lightning. The sound of their boots immediately followed as the soldiers formed a siege circle so the criminal couldn’t escape.

“Drop your weapons!”

“A-all right….” Seno raised both his unarmed hands. His two henchmen holding firearms also put down their weapons one by one.

“Argh!” the commander’s subordinate managed to subdue the three criminals in one swift move. They were then handcuffed and shackled to be led to the prisoner transport vehicle.

“Let go! I-I didn’t do anything!” Seno still denied his evil deeds. He kept struggling as the soldiers dragged him out of the building. “I’ll sue you all! Argh!” Seno writhed in pain as Andre landed a raw punch to his face.

“Lara!” Andre then ran from behind the special forces unit towards Lara, who was tied to the metal chair.

“Ra, what happened? What’s going on here?” Andre asked softly, embracing his woman tightly.

“Ndre….” Lara only called his name and knelt on the floor with a face frozen by shock and fear. Andre tightened the hug, trying to calm Lara who was still trembling with overflowing emotions.

Lara looked at Andre with eyes still filled with helplessness. “Andre, Seno… he… killed… our child….” Lara struggled to speak, choked by the emotions flooding her.

“W-what?”

“My child… Ndre… I need to see him….”

“Calm down, Ra. Seno is in the prisoner transport vehicle now. You’re safe. We’ll soon find your child,” Andre said, gently stroking Lara’s back, trying to comfort her with full reassurance.

Lara took a deep breath, trying to gather strength and calm herself. “He threatened to… kill me… he said our child… our child is already….” Lara choked up. She couldn’t even continue her words, although Andre already knew.

“I know… I know… calm down, Darling.”

Andre looked at Lara with sympathy. He felt some of the pain she felt. “We need to get out of here. I’ll take you to a safe place.”

Lara nodded, still in shock. She grabbed Andre’s hand tightly, entrusting herself to the man who had been by her side through every hardship.

The special forces commander approached Lara with a firm yet caring attitude. “We will take you to a safe place, Madam. You will be well protected.”

Andre led Lara out of the room, followed by the special forces who were ready to escort them to a safe place. They walked cautiously through the quiet corridors of the building, but remained vigilant against possible threats from Seno or his henchmen.

“Where is this?” Lara asked softly as she continued to move forward according to the instructions of the commander of the special forces in front of them.

“This is Seno’s headquarters, Ra. We got information from… Olivia.”

“Olivia?”

“Yes. Who would have thought, your enemy actually helped a lot. I was scared and panicked when I saw you disappear from the room. All CCTV recordings suddenly disappeared and we’re still investigating this. Suddenly, Olivia came to me and said she knew the location of Seno’s headquarters.”

Lara and Andre sat in another police car, closely guarded by several special forces members placed around them. They looked at each other, still stunned by what they had just experienced.

“We’ll arrive at a safe place soon, Ra,” Andre said softly, trying to comfort the still-shaken Lara.

Lara nodded, but her gaze remained empty, trapped in her chaotic thoughts and feelings. She wondered if all this had really ended, or if there were other dangers lurking for her in the future.

They continued their journey in silence. Lara really wanted to meet her child soon.
