I was just home lounging around doing practically nothing and being bored out of my mind for not going to work. I heard a knock on my door before it opened slightly. My mom stuck her head through the save there.

“Hey Mom, didn’t know you were still home,” I say trying my best to sit up straight.

“Yeah, I wanted to talk to you,” she said, closing the door and coming in to sit on the bed. She sat down and stared at the sheet on the bed.

“Mom,” I say drawing her from the thoughts. Looking at her it looked as if a thousand thoughts were flashing through her mind but only a few showed in her eyes.

“Rachel,” she said drawing out a breath. I looked at her trying to take in her expressions. “Are you sure of this wedding?” she asked her voice shaky. Had she just discovered that I let her down and I had done a very wrong thing?

“What do you mean Mom?” I say struggling to stay as calm as possible.

“I mean are you sure you want to go through with this wedding?” she asked and that became a big question to me. Do I want to go through with this wedding?

“Mom is anything wrong?” I asked oblivious as to why my mom was like this. Something must be wrong for her to be so worried.

“Nothing is wrong. I just don’t want you to make a mistake that you regret for the rest of your life” she said the worry going all out from her voice.

“Mom, I don’t know about the right decisions but it sure doesn’t feel like I’m making a wrong one,” I say not even knowing when I was that smart to make such statements.

“It may seem right now but in the end, it may be wrong,” she said and I just didn’t understand what she was driving at.

“Mom something is definitely up,” I say and her frown goes deeper. If there is anything like that. “Two months ago you were so okay with this wedding because you supported me but now you are doubting me,” I said and she turned her face away.

“Rachell,” she said facing me. “I just want to be sure that you are making the right choice. You are my daughter and I don’t want you making the wrong choices while I’m here” she said and I nodded.

“At least that makes more sense” I mutter before speaking up. “Mom you don’t need to bother about me. I can handle myself and if we discover that it’s a wrong choice we can divorce” I say and her eyes widen at my statement.

“Divorce?” she asked and I nodded at her.

“Is there something wrong with that?” I ask her and she shakes her head.

“No, it’s just a shocking thing to hear from you,” she said before looking away. “You usually fight for girls from broken homes and now you want to have one”

“Mom, I don’t say people not have broken homes. I just make sure the girls aren’t affected by them” I say and she nods.

“Just make sure you are happy anyway,” she said and she looked away.

“I will remember that Mom,” I say and she hugs me.

“O my, my daughter will soon be someone’s wife and mother” she murmurs.

“Mom today isn’t even the wedding,” I say when I feel hot tears touch my shoulders.

“Don’t ruin the moment” she does laughing with a croaky voice.

“Yes Mom,” I say and she pulls away before going out of the room. The phone call pulls me out from my thoughts and I look at it to see that it is Noah.

“Hello sweets,” he said when I picked it up and pressed it to my ear.

“Hello Noah,” I say rolling my eyes at his nickname for me.

“How are you and how is my son?” he asked and I laughed.

“Who says that it is a son?” I ask him and he hums.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

“It’s a son,” he said with all confidence in the world.

“It’s a daughter,” I say and he laughs. “You called?” I ask.

“Can’t I call to greet you?” he asks as I just gasped.

“You called?” I ask again ignoring his earlier comment.

“Okay, so my mom said she can’t have to go to the wedding dress shop again so she will send someone over with a gallery and you will choose from one,” he said.

“Is she sending over cream or off white colored dresses over?” I ask remembering the comment from his mom yesterday.

“I don’t know Rachel,” he said honestly.

“It’s okay,” I said.

“Are you sure?” he asked.

“Of course Noah,” I said.

“I got to go,” he said. “I have a meeting” he explained.

“You don’t have to explain. I know that you are busy” I say a smile playing on my lips.

“You are my wife to be I have to explain,” he said and I could sense a playful tone.

“You are too playful to be a busy man,” I said and he gasped.

“You think I’m playful,” he said sniffing.

“Bye Noah, you have a meeting,” I said.

“We will still talk about this,” he said before hanging up.

I sent an emergency text to the girls that I was shopping for my dress from home and that they should try and come help me choose the right dress. They responded that they would all be there. Harper said she couldn’t make it as she had traveled out of town and she would have to come straight to my wedding from wherever she went to.

All of us were sitting down in the living room of my house. They were with cookies and some drinks and I was stuck with a vegetable salad and some garlic bread which for some reason made me nauseous. Finally, after seven long hours, I finally chose a gown and we sent it back to the shop and I have to go for the fitting next
