I Am Unstoppable

Chapter 452 Trapped

Chapter 452 Trapped

“Let's get out of here and find a safe place to talk,” Torrence said.

“Okay.” Jonathan nodded.

The trio was swift to make themselves scarce from the area.

Fortunately, the snowfall was heavy, so their footsteps were soon covered in snow.

Now that Torrence had discarded the Auropurple Crown, it was unlikely that Theos would find them so soon.

The trio walked non-stop for three whole hours.

Finally, they arrived at a seemingly remote col.

Technically, every part of the area was remote.

Still, it was fortunate that the three had a tent and enough food despite the raging snowstorm.

Once they set up the tent, Jonathan lit the fire talisman.

In no time, the inside of the tent was warm despite the billowing snow outside. It seemed that the tent was made of quality materials.

After the harrowing incident, the trio were tired.

However, sleep eluded them.

Jonathan was the first to speak, He asked Torrence, “What's a puppet primordial spirit?”

Torrence glanced at Jonathan before answering, “It's a unique type of magic. A puppet primordial spirit is a primordial spirit created by Theos with magic elements. These kinds of primordial spirits wield some power and have some thoughts of their own.”

“But how did the puppet primordial spirits come to us despite us being thousands of miles away from Theos?”

“I'm afraid the puppet primordial spirits have been possessing Mr. Moose and Skylar all this while. It's just that it's been in a state of slumber. Now that Theos has noticed the issues on this side, she has established a connection with the puppet primordial spirits. Even if they're thousands of miles away from each other, they can still maintain a connection with the magic elements in the air.”

It was not a difficult concept to comprehend, for it was something similar to connecting two people via the internet.

“If the puppet primordial spirits had woken up any earlier, we would have been doomed. It seems that Theos was a step too late.”

“The puppet primordial spirit is made by magic elements. It won't be as powerful without a physical body. Moreover, a puppet primordial spirit can't enter a live human body, so it's not because Theos is too slow but because Skylar and Mr. Moose have to be dead before the puppet primordial spirits can be activated.”

Jonathan and Yeverie inhaled sharply at that.

“These puppet primordial spirits are powerful, but they still seem a little weaker than Theos' other tricks,” Jonathan remarked.

“That's what I find strange too,” Torrence agreed. “Theos is a mighty being of this era. Someone like us is just a speck of dust to her. If she comes in person, she can easily kill us. These puppet primordial spirits don't seem powerful enough to be one of her moves.” Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

“I noticed something, though. The puppet primordial spirits seemed to be restricted. They're restricted by Skylar's and Mr. Moose's bodies. I can imagine how much more powerful those puppet primordial spirits would be if they possessed far mightier bodies instead.”

Torrence's eyes lit up. “You're right. I noticed that too, and it seems that you're right!”

Jonathan rubbed his nose and said, “What do you mean it seems that I'm right? I am right. Didn't you see that Skylar is only proficient with his swordsmanship and swift in his reaction speed? His strength remains the same. Mr. Moose, too. Although he's much faster in casting magic, his magic level hasn't increased either.”

“Oh no!” Torrence abruptly cried out, his face pale.

Both Jonathan and Yeverie were startled. Jonathan quickly asked, “What's the matter? Don't shout all of a sudden!”

Torrence quickly replied, “The puppet primordial spirits didn't have the time to alter Mr. Moose's and

Skylar's physiques, but now that we're gone, they'll surely do that. Once they alter their physiques, they'll be far mightier.”

“Shit, why didn't you tell me?” Jonathan snapped.

If Torrence had told him about it earlier, he would have destroyed Skylar's and Moose's bodies.

Their destroyed bodies would be of no use to those puppet primordial spirits.

“Will we be able to make it in time if we head back now?” Torrence asked.

Jonathan pursed his lips. “Forget it. Why should we stop them? Killing them won't change much of anything.”

Torrence digested his words and found sense in them.

After a beat, Jonathan continued, “But still, do you think those puppet primordial spirits will come after us? Well, I'm sure they will, but they can't track us down, right?”

Torrence did not dare to promise them anything. “They shouldn't be able to.”

Jonathan could hear how uncertain Torrence was, but he did not want to dwell on it.

Oh, forget it. I'll just have to wing it.

“Let's sleep. How are we going to get the energy to run for our lives if we don't have a good sleep?” Jonathan said.

Torrence was filled with anxiety, but he didn't say anything.

Soon, the three tucked themselves in and went to sleep.

Jonathan shared a blanket with Yeverie. Despite sleeping right beside a woman, Jonathan did not think about those matters. It was mainly because he was tired. Furthermore, Yeverie was already sleeping soundly, and Jonathan did not want to disturb her.

In the middle of the night, only the sound of the wind and snow whistling could be heard.

Right then, Jonathan snapped awake and leaped to his feet.

Almost simultaneously, Torrence and Yeverie woke up as well.

The three of them had sensed something immensely dangerous approaching.

“Run!” Jonathan roared, grabbing Yeverie's hand and darting out of the tent.

Torrence dashed out as quickly as a bolt of lightning as well.

Just as they lunged out of the tent, a gigantic ice pillar descended from the sky and slammed into the tent, pulverizing it.

The pillar was ten meters wide and thirty meters tall, like a pillar made for giants, and that pillar had just landed right on the tent.

Jonathan's party stared at the pillar with wide eyes and racing hearts. Without a doubt, the ice pillar was created with water elements.

Jonathan noted that someone of Moose's level would certainly be unable to unleash such powerful magic.

Just then, two people appeared before Jonathan's party, but they were still ten meters away from them.

Although they were surrounded by darkness and snow, Jonathan could still recognize the two immediately.

They were none other than Moose and Skylar.

There were no longer any marks on Moose's neck. Dressed in black, he wore an apathetic look on his face.

Similarly, Skylar's severed arm had regrown, and the bloody hole in his chest had completely healed as well.

However, the two of them were as inhuman as zombies.

“F*ck!” Jonathan gasped. He turned to Torrence and yelled, “I thought you said they shouldn't be able to track us down?”

Torrence swallowed a lump in his throat and responded, “That's why I said they shouldn't be able to. I didn't say they won't.”

“Yeverie, you should go,” was all Jonathan said.

Yeverie nodded. She knew that she would only end up as a burden to the two of them if she stayed.

Without hesitation, she turned to leave.

Skylar and Moose did not go after her either, for she was not their target.

When Jonathan studied Moose and Skylar again, he realized that there was a slight difference in their bodies. They seemed to be much stronger than before.

Skylar was clearly taller and buffer, and so was Moose.

Damn it! They really came back as a stronger version of themselves.

Jonathan and Torrence were sure that they were going to lose. If they could not defeat those two earlier, they surely could not defeat them now.

“Kill Mr. Moose first,” Jonathan said to Torrence. “No matter how powerful Mr. Moose is, he's just a Magician, and Magicians fear close-quarters combat.”

“Okay,” Torrence answered.

He had to admit that, despite Jonathan's usual flippant demeanor, Jonathan was always calm at crucial times and was a good commander.

Still, that was due to two things: Jonathan was smart, and he had once gathered a group of

mercenaries and led them.

Right then, Jonathan and Torrence moved to strike. Both darted toward Moose to kill him.

As a warrior, Skylar would naturally move to protect the Magician.

Skylar immediately lunged toward Jonathan and Christopher's path, another sword in his hand, gleaming.

“Go to hell!”

Swinging his arm, Jonathan cast the third spell, Door of Enlightenment.

The Door of Enlightenment quickly formed a black whirlpool beneath Skylar, and Skylar was promptly sucked in by that black whirlpool.

After that, the ground returned to normal.

It was as if nothing had happened, but Skylar was gone.

The Door of Enlightenment was the Supreme Sect's chief elder's ultimate move, so naturally, it was a strong move. Furthermore, Jonathan had unleased the attack on Skylar.

If the chief elder did not cast a spell to cast the Door of Enlightenment, he would still have to chant an incantation. If Jonathan were to chant an incantation, Skylar would have the time to defend himself.

In contrast, using a spell would allow Jonathan to unleash the move immediately.

After getting rid of Skylar, Jonathan and Torrence quickly move to attack Moose.

However, Moose was no easy target. While Skylar was getting swallowed up by the Door of Enlightenment, Moose was already chanting an incantation.

Soon, ice swords shot upward from the ground at a rapid rate.

However, they did not leave the ground. Instead, they grew upward like spikes.

Jonathan and Torrence had no choice but to jump around to nimbly avoid the ice swords.

In the blink of an eye, over a hundred ice swords had spiked up from the ground.

They were sharp, frigid to the touch, and were at least a meter tall.

While Jonathan and Torrence were avoiding the ice swords, four ice walls manifested around them.

The walls were dozens of meters tall, and they had caged Jonathan and Torrence in.

In fact, an ice ceiling manifested to close them in.

Now, Jonathan and Torrence were trapped.
