Don’t run away
He placed his hand at the back of her neck and continue sucking her lips.
Beatrice’s eyes flickered.
That seems familiar.
His tongue moved hurriedly on her mouth as if wanting to break past the door she formed by not opening up.
She gasps, granting him the access he wanted.
She felt hot within herself.
What is happening?.
She slowly moved to his rhythm.
She dipped her fingers in his hair.
They kissed for some moments and finally, Gregory broke the intense kiss and looked into her eyes.
She recognized him then.
He is Gregory.
Her heart skipped a beat.
“Whaa..”she found it hard to breathe.
“I’m.. so..”
She palmed his lips.
“Don’t you dare run away again.”she found her statement crazy but she just said her mind.
He bored his eyes in her’s.
“Hun?”she implored before her head fell on his shoulders.
Gregory coughed, lowly.
His intestines were burning out… interestingly.
He stared down at her and saw that she has fallen asleep.
He touched her face, his brows furrowing.
“Do.. I like you, Author?”he whispered.
‘That shouldn’t be your worry. Can you really protect her?. That’s it! Your worry!’a voice said to him.
He brought his hand down from her fece.
No. He is just lost in the moment, that’s all.
He placed her head on the pillow and signed.
“I am sorry, Author. I will have to run away yet again.”he pecked her cheek and exit the room.
..
#Next morning.
..
Gregory sipped out of his coffee that he had just finished preparing and headed out of the kitchen.
Beatrice appeared before him with a frown that was probably caused by the thumping of her head.
“Did something happened last night?”she asked.
“No.”he lied.
Beatrice scoffed.
“But.. I can feel.. I can’t just remember it but..”she stuttered.
“Nothing peculiar took place. We went to the club but I left there earlier than you guys. Laura brought you home last night. You were utterly drunk.”he looked away from her.
“Ugh.. have you prepared hangover soup for me then?”she winced.
“Why would I do that?”he scoffed.
“Of course, what was I expecting from a jerk.”Beatrice tsk’ed and walked inside the kitchen.
Gregory looked back at her and his breathing seized up.
He doesn’t deserve to be call a man.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
And, for that, he doesn’t deserve to love, enough to have his own woman.
He would only break her. He wouldn’t be able to protect her.
He went to his room in a depressed state.
..
11:54am.
..
“Well.. I hate beach!”Beatrice rejected the idea of them going to the beach side.
“What?. This is the first time I’d be hearing someone say that.”Laura scoffed.
“I use to like that before. But, I suddenly don’t do now. It’s as if a beach has betrayed me last night.”Beatrice blinked her eyes, wondering what was wrong with her.
Gregory choked on his coffee and she turned to glare at him.
At this rate, he should marry that.
She scoffed before thinking about the sudden change of her heart again.
She use to like water.
But, she suddenly hate it now.
More funny, the beach she is envisaging is the island she’d lived on with Gregory before.
She looked at him.
He raised his shoulders up at her.
“Whatever, whatever!! I am not sure whether to call this a honeymoon or a moonhoney cause this isn’t honeymoon’ing.”she uttered gibberish.
“Beach.. sounds fun though.”Gregory cleared his voice.
Beatrice stared at him, intently.
Why does he look like a beach too?.
“What?.”he frowned.
“Let’s go to beach then.”she said with his eyes still on him.
“Well.. good.”he smiled and she creased her brows.
Why is he smiling?.
Why is he itching his nape?.
Is he nervous?.
“Mrs Winslow,”Laura called, distracting her attention from Gregory to herself.
“Huh?”
“When should we leave?”
“Now.”Gregory replied.
Beatrice scoffed.
Well, it looks like aside from coffee, an ocean is the next thing he fancies the most.
“Sure then.”Laura nodded.
“I will leave you guys to dress up.”she stood up from the couch and left the room.
Gregory tried to leave but,
“Stop.”Beatrice said.
He blinked his eyes.
“What is it?”he asked without looking at her.
“Are you keeping something from me?. Why does it feels like..”she held a befuddled look on her face.
He looked at her, sternly.
“I don’t have time to waste with you.”he scoffed and descended the stairs up.
