Hiding His Baby: The Alpha's Rejected Mate

Chapter 8

Chapter 8

His orders and her threats “I would like to talk to her. Leave us alone everyone, right now.”

Everyone looked at the door and saw Stacey standing there with a polite smile on her face. Her chin was held up in pride and sophistication. She looked somewhat powerful. Athena wondered what was the source of her power.

“Good morning, Luna.” Nathan said in a neutral tone and received a small nod for Stacey.

” Luna, I am afraid you can’t talk to her alone without the alpha’s permission.” He added after that. His tone was serious.

“As the Luna of the pack, I get to decide with whom I will talk and how. So, leave.” Stacey said i n authority in her tone.

Athena looked at her from head to toe with a judgemental look on her face. She likes to call herself a judgemental bitch but she is not guilty for that. It gives her a little power over the opposite person because most of the time she turns out to be right. Suzanne looked at Athena worriedly which she noticed. Athena nodded at her calmly before looking at Stacey.

“I am not a member of the pack. So, you are not my Luna. Do I get to decide if I want to talk or not?” Athena asked casually with a raised eyebrow.

“The least you can do is to show gratitude toward the pack by being a little bit respectful toward their Luna. Now you decide.” Stacey replied back smartly as well.

She was trying to rub the fact that she was the ‘Luna’ again and again. Athena noticed that and she didn’t like that.

“Suzy, can you please take Ace and feed him something while I show my gratitude toward’ Luna’?” Athena said with a little bit of taunt which everyone in the room could read.

“He can stay.” Stacey spoke up while looking at Ace with an intense look. As if she was trying to figure out something.

“I don’t want him to stay and learn negativity. It’s not good for him. Mother’s care, you see.” Athena said with a way too sweet smile.

Stacey looked at her with a blank face before looking away with crossed arm over her chest. After that Athena looked down at Ace who was still being a koala and looking up at her with big curious eyes.

“Baby, can you please go with aunt Suzy? Mommy will be back to you soon.” She said in a sweet tone.

“Do you promise?” Ace asked in a sad voice while tightening his hold around her.

“Yes, baby. I promise, my love.” Athena said before kissing both his cheeks lovingly. He kissed her back before Suzanne took him in her arms.

“Don’t lose shit.” Suzanne whispered to her which everyone heard anyway. Freaking werewolf superpower! Athena smirked at her. After that Nathan and Suzanne left the room with Ace. Stacey closed

the door behind her after they left before walking toward her with a serious expression on her face.

She stopped just in front of Athena’s bed and looked at her with a blank look on her face. Athena gave her a blank look as well. There was a cold silence which no one was trying to break.

“I am Stacey, the Luna of the Crescent Mystery pack.” Stacey broke the silence at last before forwarding her hand toward Athena for a handshake.

“Hello, Stacey. I am Athena. Nice to meet you.” Athena took her hand before giving her a firm shake. She was very calm and composed outside while the scene was completely different for her wolf who was very restless and… in fury.

“Everyone here calls me Luna only other than my mate, the Alpha, Dominic.” Stacey said with a small frown.

“Well, as I mentioned earlier, I do not belong here which doesn’t make you my Luna as well. I think that’s fair enough.” Athena said with a small smile.

The smile said it clearly that she is not going to change her decision.

Stacey didn’t say anything after that as she started walking around. She walked toward the tool and brought it near the bed. She sat down in front of Athena before giving her a smile back as well.

“Fair enough.” She said with a small nod. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

“By the way, what a beautiful child you have. He is very lovely.” Stacey said with a very polite smile.

Way too sweet smile which Athena didn’t like. She looked at her with a frown.

“Yes, he is a very sweet child until someone breaks his rules.” Athena replied with a smirk. Stacey looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

“His rules? How old is he to have rules? And what are the rules?” Stacey asked in an interesting tone.

Stacey was behaving very friendly with Athena which she didn’t like. She didn’t know why but she just didn’t. Her skin was burning with Stacey’s every friendly and sweet words and smiles.

‘God, can you throw her out of here already! Her voice is irritating me beyond limit.’ Her wolf snapped in her mind, making her chuckle. Stacey looked at her with a questioning look before looking up at a frowning Stacey.

“Sorry for that, I just remembered one of his funny rules.” She said, “He is two years old. And his first and most important rule is do not mess with his mommy.” She added with a smirk.

“Otherwise?” Stacey asked with a raised eyebrow.

“He is going to pull out all the hair of that person before glueing his or her lips.” Athena replied immediately, in a heartbeat.

They both went silent and dead serious after that. Stacey felt like it was an indirect threat toward her but she shrugged it off by laughing. “Very funny, It’s saddening that he doesn’t have a father.”

Stacey said with a small sigh. Athena frowned at her hearing that, “Who told you that he doesn’t have a father?” She asked in a displeasing tone.

“Oh, he does? Who is his father?” Stacey asked with a raised eyebrow.

“I don’t think it’s any of your business, Stacey. It’s my personal matter and I would like to keep it like that only.” Athena said in a tone.

“Don’t take me wrong. I have heard that your mate rejected you. So, it’s just general curiosity. If it's from your mate or not.” Stacey said slowly and carefully. Athena’s face went blank after hearing that.

She remembered what happened last night. She remembered last night’s lie and she was getting so angry at that moment that she decided to go with the lie only. To have a small satisfaction.

“He is from my second chance mate.” Athena stated in a blank tone. ‘Second chance mate my a-..!’

Athena blocked her sassy wolf before she could complete her sentence.

Stacey looked at her with a raised eyebrow but Athena could see a satisfaction and relief in her eyes. She couldn’t understand what could be the reason.

“Did he reject you as well?” Stacey asked, unable to hold the curiosity. Athena was getting irritated by her questions.

“Why did you come here, Stacey? To know about my personal life for some gossip? I don’t think that’s what a Luna of a pack does.” Athena said in a strong tone with a blank look on her face.

Stacey gave her a fake smile hearing that. She definitely didn’t like the direct tone. “I am the Luna. I know what I have to do and what not. The reason I have come here is to tell you something very clearly.” Stacey’s facial expression suddenly changed from fake smile to real mean.

“What is it?” Athena asked with a frown. She didn’t have good feelings about it.

“I have heard what happened to you in that pack. I am sorry for all this. But don’t think this pack is going to be your knight in shining armour because at the end you are a rogue and we don’t favour your kind at all.” Stacey said in a serious tone which was filled with a lot of negativity. Athena raised her right eyebrow after hearing that.

“We? As in who specifically?” Athena asked with a smirk.

“We, all of us. The whole pack. We don’t like rogues and the alpha, my mate hates rogues from the core.” Stacey said with a lot of pride.

“No one knows that better than me.” Athena whispered under her breath with a clenched jaw. Even though Stacey was a wolf but she couldn’t quite catch that. She looked at her with a frown.

“What did you just say?” She asked.

“Nothing.” Athena replied in a blank tone.

“Yeah, so what I was saying is you need to leave. The reason Dominic is letting you live here is you are sick. But now that you are okay, Dominic will throw you out like a used tissue paper. So, before that happens, I suggest you leave on your own.” Stacey said in a blank tone.

Athena didn’t know what she was trying to do here. Trying to act empathetic toward her or trying to rub it that she knew Dominic like no one else? But she didn’t like the term Stacey used for her.

“I am not a used tissue paper. So, think of your phrases twice before using them on me the next time.” Athena said in a cold tone.

“And I don’t want to stay here either. I will leave right away.” She snarled before getting down from the bed in a flash but she didn’t even take a step forward when she was stopped.

“Who said you can leave?” Dominic’s cold and intimidating tone made both of them look at the door. There was Dominic, standing by the door with his eyes fixed on Athena, making her squirm as she remembered what happened last night. She felt his touch on her stomach still.

“Dominic, what are you saying? Do you know that she is a rogue?” Stacey asked with a frown a s she walked toward Dominic and touched his hand. Athena looked at the place where she touched him and unknowingly her hands fisted by her sides.

“I know.”

“Then why…?” Stacey couldn’t complete her sentence when Athena spoke up.

“Whatever, I am not bound to listen to you, Mr Alpha. I am leaving and that’s final.” She said in a cold tone, her coldness seemed to be deeper than usual this time.

“Don’t lure me to lock you in the cell, little rogue. Trust me, nothing can stop me from doing so. And you can forget about seeing your son there.” He threatened her in a ‘no joke’ tone, making her fume.

“Don’t even think of that! I will fucking kill anyone who tries to take my son away from me!” She let out a loud growl. Her wolf was trying to take over. She was so pissed by the thought of living without her son.

“Now go to have breakfast if you don’t want that to happen. We will discuss things later.” Dominic said in a final tone before leaving after glaring at Athena one last time.

He completely ignored Athena’s words which frustrated her beyond limit. She stormed off the room after him in anger, not wanting to stay with Stacey in one room for another second. She wants to talk to Suzanne and understand what’s happening.

Now that was only Stacey who was in the room. Her hands were fisted and she was fuming as she kept glaring at the spot where Athena was standing a while ago.

“It is weird, why does he want to keep a rogue she-wolf in, even though she has no mate but has a son?”
