Dylan POV

After I left the hospital I made up my mind that I wasn’t going to be in the same country with Amelia. I had to go somewhere and Paris was the country on my mind.

I know one day if fate permits us,? we were going to be together but when?

“To the airport please, “I said to my driver. Paris here I come.

My mother had been begging me to forgive her and come back home but I needed to take a break from her too. She was the reason everything happened in the first place.

I needed to find peace and myself; I needed to make sure I was healed of the broken heart and Paris was the country I could think of going to.

Amelia POV

After Dylan left, it took all the courage not to tell him not to leave but I had to cause if we didn’t take a break from each other, it would end in tears. We couldn’t work out seven years ago and now that the truth is out, we can only wish that fate leads us where we wanted.

“Amelia!! “My mother called from the entrance. It is two days since I woke up and she had been by my side, same with Sophia and Larry. They were the only family I had and it’s was their duty to be supportive.

“Some people are here to see you” she announced.

I sat up on the bed and looked at the two visitors I had and they were not who I expected them to be. Rebecca and Anna.

“I’ll just leave”my mother announced but I stopped her.

“Stay mother, this concerned you too. So Rebecca what’s do you have to say? What’s are you doing here? “I shouted at her because I was so angry that’s she had the gut to come here after all she had done.

“Well, Rebecca, with all you’ve done I’ve forgiven you. Your son is the same reason why I got my hearings back. So I’ve forgiven you if we dwell in the past then what is planning for the future.” my mother’s declaration shocked me. I wasn’t expecting her to say that after all that had happened. “And my dear child “She turned to face me with a smile. “Please just forget the past and move on., she begged.

I wiped the tears that were flowing down my face away with my hand. My mother was right, I had to move on and forget the past.” my mother is right Rebecca, I’ve forgiven you and I hope this would? teach someone a lesson that the law of karma is real.”

Rebecca bent her head as I spoke those words, she was ashamed of herself. I turned to look at Anna who stood in the room like a shadow. She looked lost like she was regretting something so I decided to call her name.

“Hey, Anna!”I called. she looked surprised, she might be thinking about it a lot now. “Thank you for helping with Kelly. I never expected it from you”

Anna tried to smile but she was bad at it. She just nodded and didn’t say anything.

“I’ll like it if you could say something, Anna.”

Anna exhaled and inhaled before she spoke up. “Well Amelia, I’m sorry about everything that happened. The attacks, the insults, the jealousy, it was all because I was angry and sad that Dylan loves you and not me. And at the end of it all, he chooses you. “She smiled as she speaks.

I didn’t know if her smile was a sad or bitter one but all I know is that her sorry was genuine.

“Anna I’m sorry too for everything. Let’s just forget about the past and move on.”I told her and she nodded. “Hug? “I opened my arm for a hug. She stared at me and then look around the room thinking I was speaking to someone else. “You Anna, I’m talking to you.”

She walked to the bed and hugged me. She sobbed as she hugged me and I wondered why but when she spoke up I knew it was the reason for her tears. “Thank you Amelia”, she said and smiled brightly.

“You are welcome. mum, Rebecca please join in the hug as we forget the past and move on”I said to the both of them. They looked at each other before pulling each other for a hug and then they both walked to the bed and hugged me. “how wished Dylan was here.”I thought as we all embrace our present.

Six months later.

Well, it is six months since my accident. Six months of staying at home, six months loneliness.

The last time I heard from Dylan was when he left the hospital. Ever since then, I hadn’t heard or even bother to ask about him.

Rebecca and my mother became best of friends and I was happy for them. Anna and I also got along like normal friends.

“Why don’t you call him?”Sophia had told me one day. “Call Him if you miss him”. Well, that was a month ago and I haven’t even bothered to call? him or ask him.

When I asked of him from Diana, she said. “The boss had traveled for some few months now. He went to Paris for some business trip.”

I don’t even know if I should call him or not cause I missed him so much. I was done finding myself and I needed to see him. After nights of deliberation on whether to go to Paris or not, I decided to take the trip as a surprise to him.

When I landed in Paris, I took a straight cab to the house Dylan and I came to when we visited Paris months ago. I knew that’s was where he was going to be. When the taxi stopped at the front of the house, I had to take a deep breath before going in.

When I entered, the door was opened and I called his name to announced my presence but what I saw made ran out of the house. Dylan and some girl were sitting on the sofa talking like lovers. Maybe that’s his new lover but I thought he said he loved me. What was I expecting from a guy who left six months ago?

“Amelia” he called after me as I ran out of the house. “Amelia,” he grabbed my hand and whipped me around to face him. “It’s not what you think. ”

“What I think is that I had made a mistake coming here, Dylan. Let me go please “I pleaded.

“Calm down for once Amelia!!” he shouted and then breathe heavily before he continued. “That’s Caroline, my cousin, she came to visit me. Her husband and kids are also here., he said in a gentler tone.

“It’s okay” he replied and pulled me into his arms.

Someone cleared their throat behind us, it was his cousin Caroline. “Am I interrupting something baby bro?” she asked as she smiled sweetly.

“Amelia, meet my cousin Caroline. Caroline… ”

Caroline didn’t let him finished what he was saying as she pushed him off and hugged me. “It’s so nice to meet you, Amelia. I have heard a lot about you from my baby bro”

“Same here” I replied as she hugs me tightly. “Well here comes a hugger like me”.

“I’m happy you are here Caroline. My bro had turned to a mess ever since you separated”Caroline said and then started to tell me about what had happened since Dylan came to Paris. Dylan had to clear his throat to stop her from going into too much information.

“Well that my cue to leave. Thanks a lot for coming back to my bro” she smiled and hugged me again. “He is lost without you” she whispered and walked back into the house.

“Sorry about Caroline, she talks too much”

“It’s okay” I smiled as we both looked at each other. “well it’s nice to see you again”

“Me too, I’m sorry I didn’t call. I just figured you needed some time to yourself “he said and cupped my face with his hands. “I missed you a lot, Amelia. I… ”

I shushed him and pulled him close to me and then I leaned in to kiss him. “I love you” I confessed.

“I love you too Amy”.

He pulled me closer and kissed me passionately this time. Fireworks, electric works whatever they called it happened as our lips met. I was finally with the one I love.
