Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 410

"Sure thing."

After a moment, Aisha nodded with a smile.

So he wanted her program, huh?

Well, she could give it to him.

The real question was whether he had the chops to handle it.

"Then just send it to my email later," Gregory said gently, his smile warm and affable. But Aisha knew he was a snake, hissing with deceit. You never knew when he might leap forward to bite.

After the meeting, a group of shareholders surrounded Gregory with lavish praise. Their sycophantic faces were unmistakable.

Clay watched, trembling with anger, yet powerless. He sighed, patted Aisha on the shoulder, and consoled her. "Aisha, don't be discouraged. We all see your talent. Gale Corporation will only thrive under your leadership. Rest assured, us old folks will support you with everything we've got."

His tone was heavy, not just to comfort Aisha, but also to reassure himself.

"Clay is right, Miss Aisha," Mr. Christopher added. "Like your father, you have remarkable talent. All you need is time. Just keep at it, and your achievements will be great."

"Thank you, everyone," Aisha said, her eyes slightly moist, touched by their words.

Clay and the others didn't know what more to say and left with heavy steps. They all knew that if Gregory really secured support from Club 257 and Stonnell International, Gale Corporation might no longer have a place for Aisha. Not just Aisha; maybe they too would be kicked out.

Watching their departing figures, Aisha was thinking about something else.

Stonnell International...

Wasn't that Connor's company?

And what was this sudden emergence of Club 257 all about?

She had been silent, pondering over this. Something felt off. She really wanted to ask Connor what was going on but decided against it. She figured the answer would come tomorrow.

...

The next morning at nine, all the shareholders of Gale Corporation had arrived. Even the employees were dressed neatly, excitedly awaiting the arrival of representatives from Club 257 and Stonnell International. Aisha was among them. But Gregory's close associates intentionally pushed her to the back. They were all tall men, instantly shielding Aisha completely from view.

A group of people in suits walked in, led by Moss and Beck. Gregory hurried forward to greet them, excited yet trying to maintain a composed demeanor, not wanting to appear lesser in the eyes of Stonnell International.

Gregory's secretary, Drake, stepped up and asked, "Are you Moss and Beck from Stonnell International?"Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

Moss nodded coolly, while Beck didn't even spare Gregory a glance, appearing quite proud.

Drake continued warmly, "Let me introduce you to our Mr. Gregory, Mr. Gregory."

"Mr. Gregory's reputation precedes him. Our president has mentioned him numerous times," Moss said slowly, his gaze at Gregory carrying a bit of depth.

Gregory failed to catch the underlying meaning in Moss's words, thinking Stonnell International's president often praised him. He stood even taller with pride. The rest of the shareholders also took Moss's words at face value, their respect for Gregory rising anew.
