Jessica did not answer. She was scared. She thought Lexi was angry for no reason. Well, if he could be free to be alone with Cassandra, why was he mad at her because she walked with Beryl.

“Open the door now or I will break this door,” Lexi threatened.

Jessica opened the door. Without waiting, Lexi got into her room.

“Is something wrong?”Jessica asked with trembling lips. She didn’t know where her mistake was.

“No, nothing! I just don’t like you walking alone with Beryl, you could be in danger!” Lexi answered.

“Danger? Beryl’s been my friend since childhood! I’m close to him and I’m sure Beryl has no evil intentions towards me!” Jessica refused his opinion. She shook his head not liking the accusation that Lexi had just uttered.

“Yes, evil intentions no one knows!” Lexi answered. He only wanted to see Jessica jealous, but he himself was burning with jealousy just because Beryl was holding Jessica’s hand. Now, Jessica was also defending Beryl.

“Are you jealous?”Jessica asked, investigating him. She held her head up until her eyes met Lexi’s.

“No, seriously? It wouldn’t bother me. I just want your body! No more, so you don’t have too much that confidence Jessica! From tomorrow, don’t see Beryl! Don’t meet with any guy! Got it?” Lexi bluffed. He grabbed Jessica’s arms and didn’t want to hear her defense.

Lexi chose to end the phone call because he heard a knock on the door. He moved and opened it.

“Mom?” Lexi was looking at person who was standing in front of her. “Mom hasn’t slept yet?” he asked.

“You’re so meant, Lexi,” his mom blamed. She thought Lexi was too much to show his attention to Cassandra in front of Jessica.

“What do you mean, Mom?” Lexi was shocked.

“You, can’t you understand Jessica? You shouldn’t show your concern for other women in front of your wife!” Mrs. Anna was angry. She went into Lexi’s room, not wanting anyone to hear them.

“Mom, I don’t love Jessica! And isn’t it you who wants me close to Cassandra?” Lexi protested, sitting in front of his mom.

“Oh my God, Jessica is your wife! No matter whether you love her or not, until this second, only Jessica can make you heal! She is my mother’s only hope!” Mrs. Anna’s fingers massaged her dizzy forehead.

“Jessica will be fine!” Lexi said strictly.

“Once again you don’t care about Jessica’s feelings, I will announce your marriage to her! Got it?” his mother bluffed. This time, she really didn’t like Lexi’s self-willed attitude.

“What the hell, mom!” Lexi was breathing hard.

Lexi stood in front of the door of the connecting room. He thought over and over again, but he still didn’t want to open it and apologized.

In less than a minute, Lexi chose to sit on the bed. He tried to get into Jessica’s room. Tonight, he didn’t want to make love, he wanted to apologize to her.

Jessica couldn’t sleep all night. Several times she looked at the door hoping that Lexi would come, but her husband didn’t open the door.

She got overthinking, Lexi’s facial expression when showing her attention to Cassandra kept spinning in her mind.

“Shit!”Jessica looked at the clock. She grabbed her phone, and opened a message from Beryl.

Beryl: [You still owe me, I’m waiting on the beach, come right now! ]

Jessica immediately called Beryl.

“Hello,” Beryl said over the phone.

“Where?” Jessica asked.

“On the beach!” he replied.

“I’ll be there soon!”

The phone call ended. Jessica stood up from her seat. She tied her hair and walked to leave her room.

While Jessica was opening the door, the door to the next room also opened. Yes, the door number 407. However, it wasn’t Lexi who got out of there, but Cassandra.

Jessica was stunned.

“Cassandra,” Jessica said.

Cassandra gave a smile.

“Did you sleep in the next room?” Jessica asked.

“Sure! I have to go back to my room, so no one else knows. You can keep a secret, right?”Cassandra asked.

Jessica nodded slowly. Her chest felt heavy. It felt like a thousand tons from the sky.

She turned around, going downstairs in a different elevator with Cassandra.

Jessica stood up, there was pain in her heart. She tried to hold her tears. The next second, spikelets of her tears began to fall down her cheeks. She didn’t know for sure why she was crying.

She continued to see Beryl on the beach.
