Chapter 751 Shared Marriage
“Is the guy you were talking about earlier, the one who’s totally smitten with you, Emrys?” Ameera finally showed a reaction at that.
Ninette nodded, her voice dripping with humor. “Who else could it possibly be but our adorable baldy? It’s not just me he’s got a soft spot for: he adores my sisters just as mi Even went as far as saying he’d marry all of us, didn’t he, Delia?”
She shot Cordelia a look, one eyebrow raised, her face a picture of mischief. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Um…
Cordelia found herself at a loss for words.
Is this really the time for making such playful remarks in front of the older folks? It seems that this dirty– minded girl hasn’t lost her knack for ignoring social cues!
A blush crept over Cordelia’s cheeks as she stammered, a touch flustered, “Mdm. Ameera, those were just silly things we said when we were kids. Please don’t take it to heart…”
Bang!
Then, all of a sudden, the room was filled with the sound of Ameera’s hand coming down. hard on the tea table. Her voice was sharp as she demanded, “Not take it seriously? And why on earth not?”
Her outburst rendered both Cordelia and Ninette speechless.
As expected, we ticked her off. Who in their right mind would be okay with the idea of their daughter being proposed a shared marriage? Such parents simply don’t exist. It’s utterly unthinkable. And yet,
there you were, making light of everything, no matter the occasion!
Cordelia shot Ninette a fierce look, her eyes practically scolding.
Ninette, for her part, stuck out her tongue, the picture of innocence.
Just then, Ameera chimed in again, “A real man stands by his word. If Emrys has made such promises, then it’s only right he follows through on them!”
Crack!
Both Cordelia and Ninette, stunning in their beauty, gasped, their mouths agape in

astonishment as if they could literally hear the sound of their jaws hitting the floor.
Such a revelation was both shocking and completely unexpected!
Who would have thought the world contained such reasonable… no, wait, such peculiar mothers?
Cordelia realized her view of the world was far too limited.
Only Sylvia, already familiar with her mother’s unpredictable nature, remained unfazed by the revelation, in stark contrast to the astonishment shown by the others.
Ameera clapped her hands together, decisively stating, “Well, that settles it. The next time I see Emrys, I need to ask him exactly when he intends to keep his promise…”
She paused, a thought occurring to her.
Out of the blue, she inquired, “By the way, is Emrys still hanging around the Crimson Sun Sect?”
“Ha, that baldy’s been back for ages now, off gallivanting with that vixen, Yelena. No telling what mischief they’re up to, left to their own devices like that,” Ninette said, her voice tinged with jealousy.
She regretted not tagging along; if she had known they’d be away this long, she definitely would have.
Ameera and Sylvia exchanged puzzled looks at these words.
Cordelia rushed to clarify, “Mdm. Ameera, don’t mind Ninette’s wild tales. Yelena is actually my third sister. Rys went with her because they had some very important business. to attend to.”
“Oh, I see.” Ameera let out a sigh, relieved to hear that Emrys hadn’t actually run off with some vixen.
But then, her gaze landed on Sylvia, filled with complexity.
No wonder her daughter had returned from the Crimson Sun Sect disheartened; Emrys had long since departed from there.
Ah, how heartbreaking!
Ameera felt a wave of sympathy for her daughter, while inwardly, she cursed Quincey, that sly old fox.

Quincey must have known Emrys was no longer at the sect but chose to say nothing, leading us on a fruitless search. The deception is so infuriating! Yet, despite Quincey’s scheming, he surely didn’t anticipate the close bond my other daughter shared with Emrys, did her I’m definitely going to seize this opportunity.
Ameera couldn’t help but feel a sense of triumph, but her satisfaction was fleeting.
A sudden insight struck her, and her expression quickly turned grave. “Something’s not right…”
Her brow furrowed in concern, leaving everyone around her puzzled and anxious about what could possibly be wrong.
