Chapter 658
Rosalie opened her eyes, and found herself lying in a room.
Her body felt sore all over. She carefully sat up on the bed, and looked around her.
Where was she?
"You're awake," said a voice that sounded from inside the room.
Rosalie jumped in fright, and looked in the direction of the voice. However, she didn't see anyone there.
The voice spoke again. “Why so scared? I'm not going to eat you up.”
There was a hint of playfulness in the voice.
Just then, Rosalie noticed a small speaker at the foot of the bed-the voice was coming from it. The fact that he knew she was awake showed that he could see her, and that there must be a surveillance camera in the room.
Rosalie asked hoarsely, "Who exactly are you?"
"Is it important who I am?"
Rosalie was so angry, she chuckled and said, "You killed all the thugs and brought me here. Don't I deserve to know who you are? At least tell me your objective."
"I don't have any objective. I'm just bored and enjoy doing strange things."
“Is this considered strange to you?" Rosalie went on. "How did you find out that I was kidnapped and manage to save me in the nick of time? Have you been investigating me this entire time?"
She sensed that this man might have something to do with Sebastian's accident. She couldn't help herself from drawing the link between these two incidents.
"What do you think?" the man asked her back.
"Since I'm already at your mercy, you can just tell me the truth. There's no need to hide anything from me. If you don't tell me what you want, what's the point of abducting me here?" Rosalie said.
"Me, abducting you?" The man sneered. "If it weren't for me, you would have died horribly. I was the one who untied you."
“Can I leave and head home now, then?" Rosalie asked anxiously.
"No," he replied without any hesitation.
"In that case, this is just another form of kidnapping. Although you saved me, I still don't have freedom."
The man sneered again. "Are you trying to talk reason with me? Telling me what's wrong and what's right?"
"It seems pointless talking reason with you. I just want to know what you're trying to do."
"Don't panic," the man said. "They will come to save you. You'll go home in one piece."
His cold and eerie voice made
Rosalie instinctively feel that he wasn't a good man, but he didn't sound like he was lying to her. There was no need for him to lie to her, anyway.
"Will I really be able to go home in one piece?"
"What else were you expecting? If I really wanted to do anything to you, would you still be lying on the bed all safe and sound?"
His mention of her lying on the bed made Rosalie remember something. She looked down and saw herself wearing a clean set of sleepwear, and her body seemed to be all clean, too
She asked anxiously, "Who changed my clothes and bathed me?"
"I changed your clothes and wiped your body with a towel. Your skin is really fair, dewy and smooth."
His tone sounded wicked—especially in the last few words he said.
Rosalie wrapped herself up tight with the blanket, and trembled. "You..."
She wanted to reproach him, but what was the point when things had come to this point?
She didn't feel any discomfort, which meant that he probably didn't do anything to her except for wiping her down and giving her a change of clothes. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Although he sounded nasty, it was much better than being in the hands of those thugs.
