CEO’s Unloved Wife

Hearing a familiar voice behind him he was forced to look back, but pulled a puzzled and shocked expression as he beheld the most despicable person he ever hated with passion, Karen. He scoffed angrily before he finally turned to face her, his hands were tucked in his pockets, as he waited for her to get to him.

“Good morning Mr Dylan.” Karen smiled, trying look confident, but her heart didn’t stop racing as she prayed silently that what happened before doesn’t repeat itself again.

“Keep it for who needs it. The last time I checked, I told you to never show your face in my company, ever again or don’t you understand what is meant by that?” He asked calmly, but with anger resounding in his voice, and she could only bit her bottom lip, trying to control the sudden anger that surged through him. She couldn’t believe that someone as handsome as Dylan can be so arrogant, but what hurts her the most, is the fact that she still nurses feelings for this young man, even after knowing that he’s a jerk.

“Uhm…, I’m sorry about what happened earlier, it wasn’t intentional, and I promise that it’ll never happen again, can we please talk about this?” She spoke politely.

“Save your sorry for who needs it, I don’t need it. Now get the heck out of here this instant, if you don’t me to call the security.” He fired, while pointing toward the gate, waiting for her to leave, but she didn’t make a move neither did she look like she was going to leave any time soon. She had already made up her mind that she was going to get him to sign the contract no matter what it was going to take her. Though it got nothing to do with her losing her job this time around, but she just want to make it up to her boss, at least she was wrong and she should do something about it, right?

“I know you’re…” She stopped talking, as she watched Dylan brought his phone from his pocket and started scrolling through it. As much as she wanted to stay focused on what brought her to the company, she couldn’t help admiring the definition of perfection standing before her, everything about him is perfect, his body shape, his eyes, name it all, she wished she could be this good inside, but he was the opposite of how he looks.

The two arms that gripped her hands brought her back to reality, and that was when she realized that he called the security to come throw her out.

“Listen to me Karen, or whatever you say your name was, I don’t want to ever see you around here, and the next time you try this, you’ll regret it. Security, take her away.” He said and with that, he turned around and started walking to the entrance door, while she stared at him unbelievably with her mouth hung open in shock.

“Hey let me go!” She yelled, as one of them carried her on his shoulders, while she kept swinging her legs in the air, hitting the security man on his back, but the young man didn’t seem affected. The security man dropped her on the ground as soon as he got outside the gate, while she huffed angrily, glaring daggers at him.

“I won’t be this nice next time.” The security man warned, and she scoffed with an eye roll.

“You should go find something doing with your time, and not doing some security shits here, you’re old enough to be his brother.” She rolled her eyes and walked angrily over to the car before hopping in and drove out of the place, while the security man stared at her unbelievably…

Karen POV

Getting into my car, I sighed briefly and rested my head on the head rest frustratingly. Gosh! I still can’t believe he threw me out without remorse, that guy is an annoying dude, I wish I can stop crushing on him, but heck! I can’t do it and it’s annoying me. I would’ve stopped bothering him about this, but I have to do this for the sake of my boss, his anger worths it, he had spent a lot of funds and time on this, and the asshole is not even thinking about that, what kind of a human being is he? His own didn’t even get to me that much, but that security man that dared to touch me, what the heck! Anyways, I gave him a piece of my mind.

I finally turned on the ignition and started driving away when my phone rang, and glancing at it I found the caller to be Mavis. I sighed then slide the answer button and put it on speaker before focusing my attention on the road, while still driving.

“Hey what’s up?” I asked.

“I’m missing you Karen, here’s so boring without you. When are you coming back? And that reminds me, were you able to get in touch with that arrogant bastard? What did he say? Has he accept to…”

“I’m driving Mavis, can you please stop rushing me with so many questions? How am I supposed to answer them all?” I scoffed, and even if I’m not with her, I bet she rolled her eyes. Of course she’s my friend, and I know what she’s capable of doing.

“Just answer me already, I’m dying of curiosity.” She whined, and I shook my head unbelievably as a smile formed on my lips.

“If you want to know everything, meet me at the usual spot later, let’s hang out.” I said, and without waiting for her whining I clicked on the end button and disconnected the call, before I finally stepped on the accelerator and sped off.

After driving for what seemed like forever, I took the last the direction that leads to our street, but halt the car abruptly as a car from nowhere drove and collided on my car. What the heck! I’m so going to kill whoever it is that dares to do this shit with me.

Getting rid of my seatbelt, I jumped out of the car and walked over to the car, leaving my door opened, but before I got to the car, the door opened and a familiar guy stepped out of the car…
