CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 678

From the beginning, Miranda had already lost in matters of love. She was abandoned by her parents and given to Seth.

Despite this, she foolishly chose to believe in love one more time, mainly because Nash had given her such a sweet dream. She thought she could be loved, but she was wrong.

Nash still did not love her.

Tears silently fell from Miranda's eyes. She couldn't help but ask, "You risked your life for me, and that was all fake? You played this role so well that you even risked your own life."

Normally, no one would risk their life in such a way. Even her father had been deceived, thinking Nash was on their side because his life was at stake.

Nash glanced at Nina, as if not wanting her to know everything, and ordered, "Take her away."

Miranda started laughing, her tears flowing more freely. Her gaze on Nash held no hatred because she truly loved him.

When she left the organization, it was indeed to use Nash to escape her identity.

But back then, Nash was genuinely kind to her. Purely kind. She had never experienced being treated with such tenderness before. So even now, she could not muster hatred, only a stubborn desire to marry him. She wanted to stand on top and be worthy of him. This time, Miranda did not struggle as she was escorted to the car. Once the door closed, it cut off any lingering feelings she had for Nash.

She wondered why dreams could not last a little longer. Even if it was just a dream, it should not have ended so quickly.

So, she still harbored resentment. She resented Nina for coming between them.

If she hadn't gone abroad, none of this would have happened. She and Nash could have been in love, but Nina's marriage to him changed everything.

It was Nina's fault and the York family's fault!

"Let's go. Don't look anymore," Nash said. "Get in the car, we're going home."

Nina watched Miranda's car drive away and then asked, "What did she mean by saying you risked your life for her? What did you do?"Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Nash kept a calm expression and did not answer immediately.

Nina looked at him, waiting for an answer. The worry she had set aside resurfaced.

Nash finally spoke, "When Sawyer forced me to choose between the two of you, I chose Miranda, but Sawyer still didn't let her go and I risked my life for her. That's what she meant."

"That's it?" Nina was skeptical, but his explanation made sense. It did sound like he risked his life for Miranda.

"Yes," Nash replied softly. "What else could it be?"

Nina still felt uneasy, but Nash smiled gently and touched her face. "Silly, don't overthink it. It's not that complicated," he said, trying to reassure her.

But as soon as Nash touched her face, Nina quickly pushed his hand away. "Don't touch me. We're divorced. This is crossing the line!"

Nash looked at her with helplessness in his eyes. "Nina, I'm sorry."

"Sorry? What good is that? You broke my heart!" Nina complained, turning away from him.

Nash spoke again, "I had no other choice. I couldn't stand by and watch you die!"

He was not all-powerful.

When faced with death, he had to bow his head because he was afraid.

He was afraid of seeing the person he loved die in front of him.
