CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 677

Nina turned back to face Miranda.

Miranda's eyes gleamed with triumph and her lips curled in a sinister smile.

Her words were like a curse. "You won't survive this. No one can save you. It's your fate. I'm the winner here. I'll live a good life, while you'll be nothing but filth. Iahaha..."

Miranda's laughter grew louder and more frenzied. It was the first time Nina had seen her laugh so maniacally. Hearing Miranda's venomous words made Nina's face pale, her heart racing with unease.

Just then, Nash appeared, his expression stern, leading his team.

"Nash," Miranda's voice softened, tears glistening in her eyes as she looked at Nash with hope. "You're here to save me, aren't you?"

Nina turned to look at him as well. Nash walked straight to Nina's side, ignoring Miranda entirely, and took Nina's hand. "I told you to stay in the car. Are you feeling okay?"

Nina shook her head. "I just needed some fresh air." She glanced at Miranda and asked, "What will happen to her?"

Only then did Nash look at Miranda.

"Nash," Miranda cried out, "they don't respect me at all. I saved you, and this is how they treat me!"Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Nash's eyes were cold as he replied, "We'll follow protocol."

Miranda's face fell. "Why? What did I do wrong, Nash? Have you forgotten how I risked my life to save you?"

Nash stared at her with icy eyes. "If I hadn't played along, would you have brought me to your father?"

Miranda was stunned, her eyes filling with tears. "You mean... it was all a lie? You pretended to care for me just to get to Seth? It was all for Nina?"

Her voice grew hysterical, almost a scream. Her love for him had been trampled, leaving nothing behind.

Nash responded, "You're right. It was all to find a cure for Nina."

"How could you do this to me?" Miranda accused. "I loved you so much, sacrificed so much for you, even brought you to my father. But you destroyed everything here. My father might be dead. How could you be so heartless?"

Nash was used to Miranda's dramatics, her belief that she was always right and everyone else was wrong.

Nash's eyes were icy as he spoke in a cold, detached tone. "If you had behaved, it wouldn't have come to this."

He continued, "Do you think your father's actions were justified? Don't forget what you and your father did. Even without today's events, your downfall was inevitable eventually!"

Nash pressed on. "Out of respect for your parents, I already showed you leniency. But you didn't cherish that chance and walked right into this dead end yourself."

In the beginning, his feelings for her were partly because she had once saved his life.

Another reason was that Sally was her mother. The identities of Nash and Miranda had been reversed.

Setting aside the grudges of the previous generation, he indeed owed her. He had tried to repay that debt.

But he was also clearly aware that her initial act of saving him was a means to use him to escape her other identity. Listening to Nash's words, Miranda's heart sank.

Her once passionate heart now felt submerged in ice-cold water.
