Chapter 670

Seth's situation was even worse than Sawyer's. Now, he was consumed with rage and had to keep an eye on the outside commotion. The special forces were closing in. Seth needed an escape plan for himself. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

He called all his men to hold off the special forces and opened a secret escape route. He had prepared this escape tunnel when he built the lab, anticipating a day like this.

Seeing Seth attempting to flee, Nash immediately pursued him.

Seth glanced back with a cold smile. "Nash, you think it's over? The real show is just beginning!"

Without hesitation, Seth activated a mechanism and slipped into the tunnel, quickly locking the hatch behind him. The tunnel was pitch black by the time Nash opened it, with no sign of Seth.

Left behind was only a distraught and helpless Miranda, clutching her head. "Nash, Nash!" she called out, still concerned for him. Nash glanced at her with a stern expression, not responding.

"Captain!" James rushed in, relieved to see Nash unharmed. "Where's Seth? Did he escape?"

They looked at the dark tunnel, speculating. Nash commanded, "Search the area and detain all the lab personnel. I need them." "Yes, Captain." James immediately led his team into the tunnel.

Wilfred, carrying a toolbox, stood at the doorway.

Nash turned to him and said, "Wilfred, this lab contains all the drugs. Can you find the antidote?"

Wilfred entered the lab, unfazed by its contents. He had seen far worse.

Wearing gloves, Wilfred carefully examined the vials. "I need to run some tests. Give me a few days."

Nash nodded. "We're counting on you."

As soon as he finished speaking, Nash suddenly froze, his face turning pale. He felt an intense pain in his head, as if a force was trying to break through his body. He clenched his fists, enduring the pain.

Wilfred looked at him with concern. "Are you really okay?"

Nash shook his head, trying to steady himself. "Just a scratch. I'll be fine. Focus on finding the antidote."

"I will," Wilfred assured him. "Any clue we find could be a breakthrough."

He had conducted many experiments, always falling just short of success. This lab could provide him with significant assistance. "Captain, what about her?" Felix asked, looking at Miranda, who was crouched in the corner.

"Nash," Miranda cried, still desperate to reach him. "I'm so scared. Please hold me."

Nash's expression remained cold. "Arrest her and await further orders," he commanded.

"Yes, Captain."

Two soldiers quickly restrained Miranda. She struggled and cried, "What are you doing? I'm Nash's fiancée. Don't touch me! Nash, help me, they're hurting me!"

Nash's last bit of sympathy for her vanished. "Take her away!"

"Please, Nash, Nash!" Miranda screamed hysterically, her outstretched hand never finding his, until she disappeared from sight.

James returned from the tunnel. "Captain, the mechanisms inside are too complex. We couldn't catch him."

"Lock down the city!" Nash ordered.

"Yes, Captain!" James suddenly remembered. "By the way, Captain, your wife is here."

"What?" Nash's face changed. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

He rushed out immediately.

Nash emerged from the abandoned factory and went straight to Nina's car, only to find it empty. She was not inside....
