Chapter 365
Chapter 365
Sampson came out of his bedroom and heard some noise in the kitchen.
He turned around and looked at the room next door, then walked towards the kitchen.
Alyssa was wearing an apron and standing in front of the cooking counter cutting fruits.
When she heard footsteps behind her, she turned around and saw Sampson standing two steps away from her, looking at her with a smile.
Alyssa replied with a smile, "Good morning."
"What are you doing?" Sampson walked closer and leaned against the edge of the counter. He looked at the food next to him.
A hint of joy flashed across Alyssa's face. "I woke up early and came to the kitchen to take a look. In the end, I found that I know how to cook."
Last night, she and Sampson went to the supermarket and bought a lot of things.
When she bought ingredients, she found that as soon as she had picked out a kind of food, the cooking method of it would automatically appear in her mind.
When she woke up this morning, she was prepared to come here and give it a try. She did not expect that she really knew how to cook.
But this was not much of a surprise for her.
Her family background was very ordinary and she knew how to cook. This meant that she might have lived alone in the past and might have been more independent.
Sampson's gaze paused on her face for a moment. "You don't have to work so hard. You are still a patient now. I will invite an auntie to cook later."
"I don't need to work hard. I know my own body. I feel very good now." After Alyssa finished speaking, she put the cut fruit into the plate, "Okay, you can have breakfast now."
Alyssa placed the breakfast on the table and heard Sampson say, "I have to go to work later. I'll bring you to lunch when I come back."
Alyssa did not even think and shook her head to refuse. "No need. I will do it myself."
Sampson seemed to have not expected her to reject so bluntly. He was slightly stunned for a moment before he shook his head and said, "Let me come back and take you to dinner."
However, Alyssa still shook her head, "There's really no need. If you are so careful, it will make me feel that I have not lost my memory but I have become a disabled person who cannot take care of myself in life."
Sampson smiled and did not say anything else.
Sampson went to work after breakfast. Alyssa tidied up the kitchen and went downstairs to throw away the trash.
She threw the trash into the trash can and turned her head inadvertently. She saw two people sneaking around not far away.
It seemed to be a man and a woman.
The woman was fully covered, but man was much more normal.
Alyssa looked at them for a few seconds, wondering if she should call security guard or not.
At this time, the fully armed woman ran towards her.
The woman was still wearing high heels and ran so fast. Alyssa was frightened when she saw this.
The woman ran over and gave Alyssa a bear hug. "Alyssa! It's really you! I thought Xavier was lying to me!"
Alyssa did not understand what was going on and could only be hugged stiffly by her. After a long while, she asked, "Miss…?"
"What Miss? I am Hazel!" Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
Hazel let go of Alyssa and looked at her carefully, "Why are you so thin?"
Alyssa had just recovered from her serious illness. She looked pale and thin.
Alyssa tentatively asked, "You are called Hazel?"
"That’s right. I am Hazel. . ." Hazel said and choked.
The words that she did not finish after that turned into whimpering sounds.
Then, she squatted on the ground and started to cry.
“You are alive! I thought you died…”
She cried very sadly.
"Hazel."
Xavier, who had been standing quietly by the side, saw Hazel like this and squatted down in a panic to comfort her.
Alyssa stood by the side and was somewhat at a loss. "Miss Hazel."
This Miss Hazel seemed to know her but she really did not have any impression of Miss Hazel at all. She did not even know what to say.
When Hazel heard Alyssa call her Miss Hazel, she became even more sad, "What Miss Hazel? How could you not recognize me even if you have just recovered from a serious illness?"
Hazel cried until her makeup was all messed up and her face was covered up.
In the end, Alyssa could only bring the two of them upstairs.
Hazel went to the bathroom to tidy herself up. When she returned to the hall, she had already regained her calm.
Alyssa was currently pouring water for them.
Hazel stared intently at Alyssa without blinking.
Before coming here, Xavier had told her about Alyssa's current situation.
She did not think too much at the time. She felt relieved as long as Alyssa was still alive.
But now, seeing Alyssa still standing in front of her alive and knowing that she had forgotten everything from the past, Hazel still felt very uncomfortable in her heart.
When Alyssa carried the water over, she saw Hazel staring at her with red eyes.
Alyssa passed a cup of water to her and asked concernedly, "Are you okay?"
Hazel hurriedly nodded and looked at her eagerly, "What about you?"
Alyssa was amused by her eager look, "I am also very good. My body is very healthy now, but I have. . ."
"I know. I know. It is okay if you do not remember me. Anyway, there are many days ahead of us and we can create more memories." Hazel's tone was very sincere.
Hazel had already accepted that fact that Alyssa had lost her memory.
It was good that she was alive.
Hazel's appearance and the way she acted made Alyssa involuntarily believe that Hazel must have been very good friends with her in the past.
She thought that Hazel would tell her some things about the past but in the end, Hazel did not.
Hazel only asked about her recent situation.
Actually, she did not wake up for long. Other than Sampson, she only knew Xavier and Hazel. There was nothing else to talk about.
However, Hazel gave her a very warm feeling.
They chatted for a while and soon it was noon.
Seeing that they did not have any intention of leaving, Alyssa said, "You guys can stay for dinner."
Hearing this, Hazel immediately replied, "Okay."
After she finished speaking, she scratched her head in embarrassment. She had answered too quickly.
Actually, she just kept dawdling and did not want to leave.
She had heard from Xavier that the person who saved Alyssa was a man. He had taken a good care of
Alyssa for three years without leaving her. So Hazel wanted to meet that man.
"Then I'll go prepare first." Alyssa stood up and walked to the kitchen.
As soon as she left, Hazel turned her head and asked Xavier, “You said you went to see the Big Boss yesterday? How did he react?"
"Same as before." Xavier sighed and replied weakly.
Hazel could not help but press her temple in frustration. "How did it turn out like this? He had completely forgotten about Alyssa. He even had a fiancée! Men are heartless!"
Xavier refuted. “Just say he is heartless. I am not like him."
Hazel was not in the mood to argue with him. She seemed to have thought of something and her expression was serious. She turned to Xavier and warned, "Don't mention Emmett Lawrence in front of Alyssa, not even a single word!"
Emmett did not remember Alyssa now. If Alyssa remembered Emmett and he was with other women, it would hurt Alyssa's heart.
Xavier actually had experienced this.
When he thought of Emmett saying that he would blacklist him in the future, he felt his liver hurt. "I know."
