Boyfriend For Rent (They Met Again)

Chapter 47 Pervert!

Eve POV

“How could they do that Nina? You know that’s crazy, right? How about people like me, that got no boyfriend, huh? They’re not expecting me to give up, are they? I mean, I’ve spent so much time and money on this project, and they can’t just let all those efforts go to the waste bin, just because of some stupid rules, right?” I said for the umpteenth time, as I slumped on the couch frustratingly, while Nina just sat there, watching me like I was acting out some drama. I shouldn’t have bothered inviting her here in the first place, she’s not helping matters at all, she’s making it worse instead, and it’s driving me crazy.

“Don’t give me that look you spoilt brat! It’s not funny, and I don’t look like a clown, who’s acting comedy here, do I?” I snapped at her, as she tried smiling. What the heck is this girl’s problem? Is this how she’s going to act all day today? Heaven knows that I’m angry already, and if she dares add to my problems, I’m going to kick her ass, before throwing her out of my house, this minute, and I mean it.

“You look like you’ve lost hope in life and it’s really funny. This isn’t a big deal, but the fact that you’re making it look like one, is the only thing funny here.” She chuckled, as she crossed her legs, and tucked her hair behind her ear. Oh shit! Is she being serious right now? How could she tell me that I’m making it look like a big deal, when it’s not?

“You know what? Stand up from there, and get the heck out of my house before I kick you out.” I said angrily, while pointing to the door, and she smirked.

“Why don’t you just hire a boyfriend?” She suggested, and I scoffed. This girl is obviously crazy, how could she even suggest something like that? I mean, that’s not possible, I’ll never do such a thing, not now, and not forever.

“If you’ve got nothing to say, why not leave my house?” I snapped at her, and she rolled her eyes.

“One minute!” She said, before bringing out her phone from her bag, and started pressing it. After a few minutes, she finally turned the phone screen to me, as I was welcomed with the picture of Ivan, displaying on the screen. Ok what the heck has that asshole gotten to do with this now?

“What’s that?” I asked anyways.This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

“That’s the solution to your worries girlfriend. Now this is it, I know why you’re scared of making use of my suggestion, I know you’re scared of ending up falling in love with the person, but take a look at him, you hate him so much, so if you talk to him to help you out with this, I’m sure nothing can ever happen. He hates you as much as you do to him, so there’s nothing to worry about. I’m sure you wouldn’t want all your effort going to waste, right? And besides, this is just for a day, so nothing to worry about.” She said, while smirking, and I couldn’t help scoffing. Is she from this planet at all? Her solution is enough to drive anyone crazy, and as if that wasn’t enough, she decided to recommend that bastard.

“Forget it, I’m not interested.” I rolled my eyes, as I waved my hand at her dismissively.

“Huh?” She narrowed her eyes, and I rolled my eyes, before standing up, and headed to the kitchen. Stepping into the kitchen, I open my refrigerator and picked out the remaining two packs of juice, before going back to the living room to join my crazy friend. I’m running out of foodstuffs already, so I think I’ll just go visit the grocery by tomorrow and have everything filled again. I can run out of any other things, but definitely not food, you can say that I’m a foodie, but that’s not my business, the truth is, I love food a lot, more than life itself. Alright that was just an expensive joke, I don’t love food more than life, but I’m sure I’ll choose food, over that bastard’s life.

“Eve can you just set your emotions aside, and do the needful, huh?” She said, as soon as I got into the living room, and I sighed frustratingly. Can’t she just let me think of another way to solve this whole shit, than thinking about her stupid suggestion? This is crazy, how will I go to him, and start telling him that I need him to do some shit for me? What the heck is she even thinking? That he’ll ever agree to do that? Never!

“Say one more word, and I’m kicking you out of my house, for good!” I glared at her, and she grinned, before minding her business.

Her phone rang, and as she glanced at the screen, she made a grimace expression, and I didn’t need anyone to tell me that it was her mom calling. Nina’s mom, is the kind of woman you would never pray to have in your family, let alone having her as your mom. I wonder how my dear friend manages to still stay alive until now, considering how much frustration that woman is giving her, my friend is indeed a strong woman.

“I’ll be back.” She said, then stood up and went outside to take the call, while I sat back to think about what she just said. Just the thought of the efforts I put in this, before I was selected as one of the people to handle the project, makes me don’t want to give up, I’ve given this contract my time, energy, and even money, so I can’t possibly let it go to waste like that, right? As much as I want to do what she asked me to, just the thought of what happens in movies, makes me hold back. I’ve watched similar movies, where the male and the female lead, start with contract, and end up falling deeply in love with each other.

“Snap out of that Eve, those were script that they were just acting on, this is reality.” My subconscious mind reminded me, and I mouthed an ‘oh’. Even if it’s reality, I can’t help getting scared, but wait! It’s never possible with Ivan, right? I mean, he’s the most despicable person I’ve ever met, we both hate each other, so the chance of something odd occuring, is slim. I think I’ll just give this a thought, and see what will happen.

My phone beeped, and reaching out to it lazily, I swiped the unlock button, as a message popped on the screen, it’s a reminder from the company. Ok what’s with the rush? I think I’ll just do this.

I scrolled through my contacts, and as soon as I got to his own, I rolled my eyes and hissed loudly, before clicking on the dial button, while waiting for him to pick up. I know you must be wondering how I got his contact, but the fact that we’re enemies, doesn’t mean I can’t have his contact, right? Besides, he was my client once.

“What do you want?” His hoarse voice came from the other end, as he finally picked the call, and I rolled my eyes. Can he ever act like a gentleman, even if he’s not one?

“Can we meet later? I need to discuss something with you.” I rolled my eyes, like he can see me. Gosh! If not that I need his help, how dare he talk to me in that manner, huh? I feel like strangling him right now.

“No! I’m busy.” He said, and without waiting for me to say a word, he ended the call. What the heck! Did he just banged the call on me? Now I regret calling him in the first place, I shouldn’t have made that mistake, knowing that he’s one hell of a bastard.

I huffed angrily, and clicked on the message icon, before typing ‘you’re too arrogant for my liking, you bastard, go to hell!’ I made to click on the send icon after typing it, but stopped, and sighed, before deleting the text again, after which I dropped the phone on the couch, and ran my fingers through my hair.

My phone beeped, and I sighed, before reaching out to it, and unlocked it, as a message popped on the screen.

“Come out.” I read the message, and narrowed my eyes, as I glanced at my door, and back to the phone. What the heck! What’s he doing here?…
