MAYNARD POV

I woke up as early as 6AM the next morning, Magnolia was still fast asleep.

Dad came to my room after I took my bath, I sensed that he heard the news already.

Whatever it is, I will never hide Magnolia as my wife.

She’s mine, There’s no use of me telling her I love her when I can’t show it to the world that she’s my wife.

“I will solve this Dad, Don’t worry, We won’t loose our shareholders”I assured him and he sighed.

“I’m not talking about shareholders, I don’t care if they cancel their contract with us, I will never let you treat Magnolia the same way I treat your mother, Let them know that if they can’t accept you the way you are, There’s of no use of dealing with them”

“Sure dad, Please, Make sure Magnolia doesn’t leave the room, Tell Ava and Gabriel to keep her company”I pleaded staring at her on the bed and he nodded before leaving the room.

I packed my phones and suitcase before leaving the room not until I heard her sleepy voice.

“Hey”I greeted with a light smile, She’s on her feet already, How come I didn’t notice that she woke up already?

“You were talking to someone,, Is there a problem?, It’s not 7AM already, Are you leaving again?”She asked walking up to me.

I chuckled at her cuteness, Damn!, I will never trade her love for anything.

“I needed to work on some stuffs in the office, But I will be back sooner than you expected, Trust me”

“Should I come?”

“No, I will be back before 10AM, trust me”

“Alright, Take care of yourself”She hugged me tightly, I pecked her hair before walking out of the room.

Getting to the office, The shareholders and press were there already, Mateo and the security men were trying to chase them away.

They seems to be doing a good job in keeping them away from the premises, I stepped down from the car and their attention were diverted to me.

The guards pushed them out of the way while I walked in, Mr. Chris, One of the shareholders who’s the most difficult one among them glared at me.

“What do you plan to do about this?, How do you clarify this?”He asked staring at me and I scoffed.

“We are going to talk about it here?, Let’s meet in the conference hall minutes later with the press present there”I announced, Mateo rushed to me immediately, Panting.

We both entered the elevator, I gave him a bottle of water, He gulped it down at once.

“It must have been hard for you?”I chuckled, He sighed.

“What do you plan to do?, These people won’t rest until they seperate you from Magnolia ”

“I don’t care, I preferred to live an impoverished life with Magnolia than to marry their spoilt daughters”

“I hope you will be able to solve this, Fleur wasn’t able to sleep, I had to stay awake all night to pacify her that something like this won’t happen to her”

“You’d better go back to your woman, I don’t want her to come here to strangle me”

“May…”

“The ten minutes is up, Enough of the chit chat, We should be in the conference room”

“Alright” He mumbled, We both walked into the conference room.

They were all seated, With the standby, Arranging their devices so they won’t miss any of my word.

“Tell me, Why did you choose that poor girl over our daughters?, It was in the agreement that you will marry one of our daughters”Mr. Chris attacked me again.

“Can you show me where I signed it that I will marry one of your daughters?”I asked immediately and he kept quiet.

“Most of you pushed your daughters into everlasting sorrow because of riches, Most of you are in unhappy marriages because of the contracts you signed with companies, All because you want to acquire more wealth, You’re telling me to marry your daughters?, Even you Chris?”I asked and he scoffed.

“Why can’t you marry her?, She’s a good lady”

“Really?, The one who got drunk in the club?, Messing herself around?, Your second daughter committed sucide last week, Mr. Ric, She was in an abusive marriage for four years and you didn’t do anything concerning it?, You want me to end my relationship with a woman who’s carrying my baby?, Or you want me to hide her forever the same way my father did to my mom?, I don’t care if any of you cancel the contract between us, You guys are on the losing side because I’ve acquired enough riches to last me forever, It’s up to you, Have a nice day”I ended my announcement, Mateo winked at me and I chuckled.

Mr. Ric stood up immediately, He look so fragile, Losing a daughter to suicide is the most painful thing which is really taking a toll on him.

“I want to renew my contract, It will expire in few days, I promised not to push my daughters into marriages the same way I did to my poor Mirabel”He sobbed, I nodded immediately.

The shareholders bowed to me while I leave the room.

MAGNOLIA POV

Everything is getting suspicious, Even Maynard was acting suspicious in the morning, Ava is now in my room, We are watching Netflix while she keep engaging me with interesting topics, They didn’t allow me out of my room or use my phone.

Is Maynard is trouble and they don’t want me to know?

“Ava”I called softly and held her hand.

“What happened?”She stuttered.

“Please, tell me what happened, I promised to handle it maturely, Why can’t they allow me to go out?, What’s happening?”I asked holding her hands tightly and she gulped nervously.

“Nothing, Mom didn’t want you to stress yourself”

“Really?, You don’t want to tell me too? ”

“See, it’s complicated, I can’t tell you”

“Why?, Why can’t you tell me?”I yelled suddenly, Standing up.

“Fine, Your video with Maynard got leaked, And he’s in trouble already, The shareholders are about to cancel their contract with him, He told us he’s going to settle it himself, That’s why mom didn’t want to tell you”

“Your condition, You’re heavy already, Mom didn’t want to stress you, Please trust Maynard”

“I’m going to the Company”I muttered and wore his white shirt on the bed, Luckily, it reached my knees.

I walked out of the house with Ava yelling my name.

“Can you take me to Alvarez Mansion?, I can’t drive”I begged one of the drivers and he bowed to me immediately.

“Of course, Please choose the car you want to go out with”

I looked around and there’s more than twenty cars inside the company.

“Take anyone you want, I need to be there as soon as possible”I pleaded and he nodded.

He later choosed a blue car in the compound and drove me out of the house.

By the time we got there, Maynard was coming out of the company, Smiling and chatting at the same time with Mateo.

What’s happening?

I thought he’s in trouble?, I stepped down the car immediately and walked towards him, His eyes sparkled immediately he set his eyes on me.

“Ava told me you got into trouble, can you let me talk to them?, The shareholders, You can’t loose them because of me”I begged, He walked up to me and shut me up with a kiss.

“I settled everything, They didn’t terminate their contracts, and I’m not leaving you too”

“How?”I sobbed, He clean my tears and wrapped his hand around my waist

“You smell so good in my shirt, You should wear it often”He joked, I laughed out tears.

“Thank you, Thanks so much, Thank you “I sobbed and he laughed and kissed me again.

Six months later…

Ava and Maynard stepped down the stairs with the twins in their arms, Maynard won’t release Alex for me the same way Ava won’t release Alexa for me.

They were all dressed up, Ready for Gael’s and Anna wedding, Yeah!, Today is their day.

She’s heavy already and it has bene so stressful for Gael, I’m so happy to see him getting married to the love of his life.

Fleur gave birth to a tiny two months ago, She went for a vacation with Mateo, They needs lots of rest before they start planning their own wedding.

Life has been so good to me, Maynard opened the biggest mall for me in California, Anna is one of my trusted partners who make designs for me, She’s a fashion designer, Gael didn’t hesitate to set her up after her twenty fourth Birthday.

Zoe is now the manager of the company after Mateo resigned to start his own business, She told me she’s now in a romantic relationship with the popular doctor, I’m genuinely happy for her.

She’s such a sweet soul who deserved all the happiness in the world.

My babies clocked three months yesterday, Maynard bought an estate for me in their names, He cherished them so much, My delivery wasn’t a funny experience, I almost died because I had a late delivery, I was a month already before I delivered.

Maynard instructed them to block my womb for a while because he’s not ready to make me go through that funny experience again.

“You’re ready?”He asked smiling at me and I nodded.

“Yes, We can start going”I said softly and attempt to collect Alex from him but he shook his head.

“I told you I’m not giving him to you, He’s mine”He chuckled, I pouted and we made to go.

He grabbed my waist and kissed me passionately as he held the baby carefully in his hand.

“I love you so much”

“I love you too”I mumbled in between the kiss.

“Hey, we should go”Ava yelled from the car, We chuckled before walking towards her.
