Chapter 56: The Move!

Thomas became so mad. He couldn’t believe that Anita would support her girlfriend in bringing down his friend.

One look at the comment section, he knew that if care is not taken, he would get involved in this and it would be tough.

He never prayed for this. He only wanted a good reputation for him and his men else their move won’t be trusted and they may end up being implicated.

Picking up his car keys, he walked out of his office to his car in a haste.

By the time Anita was done working for the day, she was already exhausted, so she stopped and placed her head on the desk to have some rest.

Andre called it a day at the office. He then walked out and walked into Anita’s office.

When she heard some steps, she stretched her palm without looking up. She already knew who it was.

“Let’s go home. I will drive you.”Andre said with a smile.

She then looked up and into his eyes.

He then picked up her bag and held her up.

“Take it easy!” he whispered and she nodded.

Soon they got down and met Cass who was already waiting for them in the car.

Immediately Cass drove the car off, Thomas walked into the building with his car.

He tried to ask, and a member told him that Anita had just left with her colleague.

Though the lady that spoke didn’t need to mention who it was, he already knew and his blood boiled in anger.

He had not set his eyes on her ever since she got out of the hands of her kidnappers and she had not felt the need to call him or try to see him.

He was an officer and of course, was into some other underground business, so he knew the tiniest way in New York City.

He drove his car through the shortest way he knew and in few minutes, he was at the front of her apartment.

Meanwhile, Cass who was carrying Andre and Anita was still not halfway, while following the right way.

Anita laid her head on the chair as it felt so relaxing while Anita tried to massage her palm.

Thomas got down from his vehicle and walked towards Anita’s door as he started knocking.

Kate was having fun cooking Anita’s favorite dishes when she heard a knock on the door.

She felt a bit disappointed at first, because she really wanted to finish cooking before Anita would return. She wanted her to have one of the best moment of her life eating her favorite that day.

But on listening to the sound of the knock, she knew instantly that Anita was not back.

She knows what Anita’s knock sounds like.

She then walked out if the kitchen and towards the door as she first peeped through the four to see who it was.

On seeing one of her worse nightmares, she froze.

She then bit her lips in anger and opened the door.

As she opened the door, she stood at the doorway clearly showing that she had no intention of her letting him come in.

“Hi!” Thomas said as he looked her up through his glasses, trying to hide his hatred towards her, but on looking at her, she was not interested in pretending with he was pretending.

“How may I help you?” she asked.

“I’m here to see Anita. Is she home?” he asked her back.

“Does it looks like she is back?” she asked him.

“I have no idea, so I am asking you.”

“Well don’t. Else you see her around.”

Straightening his shirt’s collar, he tried to walk in, but got blocked by Kate.

“You really want to get in? Like seriously? After abandoning my girlfriend to rot in the hands in the hands of the kidnappers that kidnapped her because of you.?”

“Mind your words Kate. You have no evidence of that.”

“oh please spare me the shut you have to say. You are mean! You ain’t good for my sister. If you have any idea what she means to me, you and your god forsaken partners would have protected her with all you have got. You have used my girlfriend for far too long already and I am done. Laughing, she looked straight into his eyes as she walked closer and whispered “Fuck you Thomas!” as she tried to go in and shut him out, but he grabbed her hand, making it impossible for her to walk out on him as he warned her with a mean face.

“Don’t mess with me Kate. Tell me about Anita and I mean right now.”

“About anita? Hmmph! So what about her?” she then laughed and continued. “I am going to make your worse fear happen anytime soon. Aren’t you worried about her having an affair with Andre? Watch me make that happen. I need to get done with your fucking partner in crime who tried to ruin my life with illegal drugs. The bastard messed with me. He crossed the line with me.
