Chapter 32: Encounter ii

As she was able to eat, her phone rang.

“Who is calling me?” she said and walked to her sofa where her phone was placed to take a look.

“Anita? Awwn baby is missing me already.” she said in a pout and picked up the phone call immediately.

“What’s up baby!”

“Hello Kate! How are you? Where have you been?” Anita’s worried tone could be heard from the other angle.

“I am fine and all is well. Hope you are cool, you sound stressed.”

“Umm sorry I didn’t mean to sound stressed, I just wanted to talk to you.”

“About what exactly?” Kate asked, wondering how important it could be.

“Where are you right now?”

“In my apartment. Do you want to come over?”

“Yes. Send me the address.”

Within minutes, Kate heard a knock on her door.

“Welcome welcome welcome baby girl.” Kate greeted as she hugged her girlfriend.

“Awwn! Thank you so much! I really missed you girl.” Anita replied happily.

“I missed you too Anita. I made late lunch. Come let’s eat together.”

“Oh nice to hear. I can’t wait!” Anita replied and made her way to the dinner. Her girlfriend made quite a delicacy.

They enjoyed their food as the chatted.

“Wait, what is going on? Did something happen between you two?” Anita spoke up, seeing some signs on her girlfriend’s body.

Kate froze.

She never expected to hear that from Anita. After coming to terms with whatever might go in, she then decided to open up, after all, Anita was her girlfriend.

“Anita, we made love?”

“What the fuck! What did you just say? You literally just met this man.”

“I know, but I couldn’t help it. I’m so sorry Anita.”

“You don’t have to apologize for a decision that you make. It’s your body. I’m sure you know what is best for it.”

“Do you still need a boyfriend? I guess not.” Anita I’m told her, remembering what Thomas told her earlier.

“Why did you say that? Do you have any for me now?”

“Not really. Thomas just called me regarding the man he arranged for you. So I thought I should ask about it.”

“I am already in a new relationship, I know that, but I also don’t mind seeing someone else.”

Later that evening, Anita and Kate made their way to a restaurant in the City to meet with Thomas just as planned.

“Hello Anita!” Thomas voice sounded from the other side of the private restaurant.

“Here you are!” Anita said and signaled to Kate where her man was.

“Hello babe!” A thick and familiar voice sounded within them.

Anita and Kate froze.

Seeing the face of who spoke, they couldn’t be shocked enough, especially Kate, she couldn’t believe her eyes.

“Liam?” Kate whispered and looked at Anita.

“What is he doing here?” she thought.

“This is Liam. Liam, this is Anita my woman and this is Kate, her girlfriend and the lady I told you about.” Thomas introduced.

“Oh my God! I can’t believe this.”

“Have you both met before?” Thomas asked, looking confused.

“Yes, we even saw each other today before I went back to the police station.” Liam replied Thomas.

Clapping, “in that case, I don’t think there is much for me to do. Wow! What a beautiful coincidence.” Thomas replied happily.

Kate got a bit shy because if the situation, as she bent her head stylishly while Liam looked at her in admiration.

Anita felt some type of way, but for some reasons, she couldn’t pinpoint just how she was feeling, so she tried to suppress it.

Later in Anita’s apartment, Anita and Kate laid on the bed in silent as they thought about everything that was going on.

How could everything come so far? Why was this so fast? Such a coincidence!

Kate couldn’t rap her head around everything that was happening.

But how would she make her girlfriend understand. Kate was so in need of affection that it was already trying to look like she was already making a mistake.

Like that, both girls slept off.

The next day at an office in the City’s Police Station, Thomas was seated, having a conversation Liam in his office.

“Don’t forget what Boss told us earlier.” Thomas said.

“Sure! I just hope these shits doesn’t affect my personal life and fun. You know how much I don’t play with my body system.”

Laughing, “that’s what’s up!” he said, giving him a handshake.

“We have to transport the products that we just manufactured as quickly as possible. I got the information that someone has switched on us and is trying to go ahead if ys in this journey. You know this has got to do with first come, first serve.” Liam updated.

“Got you mehn! Everything is cool and on plan. Anita would be of good use for us and you know it, so please treat Kate well. As long as Kate is fine, Anita would be alright. When we are done, you know what’s up.” Thomas said, lowering his tone.

They then laughed out loud together.

Fixing his shirt, Liam walked out of Thomas’s office to continue his police duties.

How he hated this job, but have no choice but to use it as a cover up business just so no one would suspect him or come after him.

As he worked on his desk, his phone then rang.

Picking up his phone to check who it was, he sat up and looked around first before picking it up.

“Hey!” he said quietly.

“Hi babe! How are you doing today? Do you mind coming to spend some time with me today? I missed you a lot.” Kate voice sounded across his phone.

Liam held his chest in relief, but then in the next minute, he froze.

He just realized that he never had Kate’s contact number.
