A familiar car sped into the driveway in front of the Sirius Bright Packhouse around midnight. Cole was terrified when the vehicle passed by, almost causing him to die. He’d gone for a stroll since he couldn’t stand drinking.

When had he left the pack? That was when Cole gradually realized that Xavier had snuck out of the pack and no one knew about it, not even Petra! This man was really cunning! He hadn’t let his adversary know about his absence.

The thought of Petra’s current condition when she watched his car entering the pack, made Cole laugh.

She must be regretting letting this opportunity pass her by. Even though Cole was off duty, he raced over to open the door for the Alpha. The young Omega was stunned to see how messy the other man looked.

Xavier’s usual well-groomed hair was in disarray. His coat was gone and three b.uttons of his shirt had been ripped off reveaing the glory of his strong chest.

He got Xavier’s attention for a second before Cole watched him open the passenger door to pull Kiara in his arms. The young Luna was semi-conscious!

“fvck! She’s been drugged!” Cole panicked.

The Alpha c****d his brow. How could Cole have figured that out so quickly?

“Call the retired senior Doctor,” Xavier ordered before taking his woman inside the pack house. The lights in everyone’s rooms were turned off. The Alpha entered his bedroom quickly, trying no to disturb

Quickly laying Kiara down on the bed Xavier ran to grab a light dress for her. First he took off her sandals then held her up a little to undress her. He cursed himself when his hand skimmed over her n*ked body.

“Ummm…Xavíer,”‘ she m0aned, slipping her hand under his shirt.

I want more,” she begged, taking a deep breath. Her face was red and the corners of her eyes were teary.

“I know. I know, Kiara. Let’s get you dressed up first,” he k!ssed her forehead to calm her down, then quickly put the dress over her. His every word fell on her deaf ears as she continued k!ssing his chest just to gain his attention and gain his c0ck inside her p****y.

“Kiara, wait. We can’t do it again,” Xavier explained this was the first time he had felt helpless. Watching her in this condition was unbelievably painful for him. He was aware that she was under the influence of some type of st***l drug. He had satisfied her at least three times at the club hoping it would help the drug wear off, instead it intensified her need and ramped up her h0rmones.

That’s when Xavier realized that se.x was simply fueling her need! She was exhausted, yet she insisted on more. It was going to start damaging her internal organs. He instantly brought her to the pack but her condition had not changed.

She was assaulting his body with her claws, teeth, and the scent she had been producing to lure him in with each passing second. It was spreading like poison in the Alpha’s heart. He wanted to screw her over and over again.

But Xavier had been holding himself back.

The drug had destroyed her senses, she was luring him into killing their unborn baby. He was also fuming with rage. If Kiara was in better condition, he would drag Petra out of her roomright now and tear her into pieces in front of the whole pack.

Kaiden had said that she had mixed the drug in Kiara’s drink. How dare she drug his mate?! He also had no idea if after taking this drug, the baby was safe or not!

“Alpha, the Doctor is on his way,” Cole stormed into the room. He had mind-linked the Doctor but his house was far away. Then he handed over a drink to Xavier.

“What is this?”

“Please make Luna Kiara drink this herbal remedy. It will counteract the drug, then she will be able to control her hormones. She will come to her senses,” he explained. Before making a face, the Alpha glanced between the Omega and the drink.

“What the fvck!I will not let my mate drink some random herbal remedy! Go and call the Doctor immediately!” Xavier growled in annoyance. He pushed the drink back at him.

Why the hell did he think that he would let his mate drink something that was made by him?!

“I bet the doctors cannot treat the Luna at this time,”‘ Cole said worriedly.

“Don’t talk nonsense. The doctors can treat anything,” Xavier snapped.

“Yes they çans treat anything but not something that is related to magic,” the young map claimed.

“What do you mean?” The Alpha frowned when he heard the word magic.

“The drug that she has consumed is not a normal one,” Cole remarked, then apologized for climbing on Alpha and Luna’s bed before he checked Kiara’s eyes.

“See, her chocolaty eyes have turned black” he pointed out.

“fvck! Her eyes really are black. What is happening to her!” Xavier cursed. He had to admit that Cole’s theory was correct.

“Like I said the drug was magical. At this time, the drug has reached a dangerous state in her body. It causes a never ending cycle of s***l desire. She will keep crying in need and you will have to fvck her all the time which would lead her to a miscarriage,’” Xavier turned pale as he listened to the Omega.

It was a bitter truth he refused to swallow. But the young wolf did not sound like he was just saying random things. He sounded like a pro.

“How did you know all of this?” He demanded.

“I belong to a hybrid family. My Grandpa was a wizard. But l am a werewolf. I used to see members of my family using spells and magic all the time. So I learned how to cure people who were suffering due to the misuses of magic. I used to treat them with herbs,” he replied, without breaking eye contact with Xavier he could make him believe.

“You are not an Omega are you?” Xavier finally said aloud. He had always doubted his rank. His body and structure was one of an Alpha.

“My Father was an Alpha and my Mother was an Omega. My Father refused to accept my Mother when he found his mate. We left my Father’s pack and my Mom raised me as an Omega.” he explained. The Alpha was satisfied that CoLe was not trying to hide or lie about What he had just told him.

“So what do you mean? What is the purpose of the drug in Kiara’s body?” Xavier asked.

“To kill your pup and the Luna together.

You have no choice, Alpha. Either Kiara and the pup will both survive or both will die” Cole confirmed.

“I refuse to let both of them die!” Xavier roared in anger. Cole got off of the bed in fear.

“It is true,” he murmured, lowering his head. He felt the other man’s rage that was affecting his wolf as well.

“She has only a few hours left to survive.

She will soon start to bleed,” the young Omega added with a heavy heart.

“No!” Xavier’s heart had dropped at learning the bitter truth. There was no way he could lose the baby’and his mate. The woman in his arińs was his reason for living. Kiara had brought him out of the darkest hell that he had been existing in.

She was the one who had held his hand and made him fall in love with her. She taught him to smile again. She was the one who had promised that she would never leave him!

He looked down to his sweating and crying mate.

“Kiara, open your eyes,” Xavier tried to wake his still semi-conscious mate.

Do it! Look at your Xavier,” he begged, cupping her face. He felt his eyes watering as well. The fear of losing her while she was in his arms, but he could not save her was heartbreaking for him. The young woman heard her mate’s broken, painful voice and watched his desperate eyes.

“Xavier,” she called his name, touched his cheeks, and that gave the Alpha hope.

Yes, look at me, Kiara. Open your eyes. You can fight this drug,” he encouraged her with a smile, pulling her closer to his chest but then she slid her hands under his shirt and started to l!ck his neck.

“Please f”k me” she cried, breaking Xavier’s heart and leaving his hope in pieces. He was left stunned. Again, she had not understood anything that he had said. He pulled her away from him a little to check her eyes, which had now turned totally black. Her condition was getting worse. She could not understand him and was only crazy for se.x. He shook her then hugged her tightly. He felt like he was losing her. Dean had been howling in pain as he wás unable to make a connection with Venus. “Quickly, make her drink that herbal remedy before it is late, Alpha,” he suggested. It sounded like he was begging. Xavier debated in his mind while inspecting the drink in his hand.

If Cole was telling the truth and the drink really worked, then Kiara was going to survive. If he lied then Xavier would become the reason that both his mate and pup were dead. He knew that he was in deep sh!t. He wanted to save Kiara but…

“How can I believe you?” He questioned the Omega, not disguising his skepticism. Xavier’s life at present was surrounded by enemies, hybrids, spells, and magic which was making it difficult for him to trust the young wolf who had plainly been interested in his mate from the start.

Maybe he had put something in the drink that he planned to use to murder the baby and his mate in retaliation? Xavier refused to believe anybody.

“I know you don’t like me, Alpha. And your reasons are valid. But I believe you do not have any choice in the matter, Alpha. The Doctor can not save the Luna and you can’t have an interc0urse with the Luna right now.

I would never betray you, especially when it is related to Kiara. I can’t let her die when I know how to save her. I can’t lose her…” Cole spoke the last sentence under his breath, looking down at his first and last love, who was making Xavier agonize over his decision.

His eyes were full of love and concern. The young wolf looked like his soul would also leave his body if Kiara died. Even though he spoke slowy, Xavier had heard him clearly. He growled while his blood boiled.

“I will scoop your eyes out with a dull spoon if you look at her! She is mine!” Xavier warned Cole, pulling Kiara to his chest. If he could hide her from the world, keeping her only to himself, he would readily do so.

Xavier knew that the last time he had asked Cole had been lying about not having feelings for her! He liked her and still did, even though he had warned him against it in the past.

“l am sorry, Alpha,” Cole apologized, falling to his knees. His whole body was shivering in fear. How the fvck dare he look at someone else mate? He must have a death wish. He could be beheaded for even dreaming about his Luna.

Now Kiara was no longer that beautiful school flower that he used to admire and desire. Cole had once again forgotten that Kiara only belonged to Xavier.

He could not have her in this lifetime. But his stupid heart seemed to neglect this fact as he fell for her over and over again even though he knew that one day he would be killed by the possessive Alpha who saw him as nothing more than a threat.

“l am sorry..” Just before he was going to apologize again, Xavier cut him off.

“This is your last warning, Cole. Forget your little crush. It will only lead you to death at this young age. Never dream about Kiara. She is mine.

I hate you because I know how you look at her. I am forgiving yoų this last time just for Kiara. I will not think twice the next time before letting my wolf rip you apart, no matter how many times she begs and cries for me to let you go. Do you understand me?”

The Alpha raised his brow, explaining the way of things sterny to the young Omega, who was shocked that he was forgiven again after this bold move.

“l understand, Alpha. I will never forget my place, Cole rodded, mentally thanking Kiara, who hạd become the reason why Xavier let him go.

“Now give me that drink!” Xavier ordered, as he had no other choice left. To save his mate, he decided to make this big decision. He trusted the young wolf. Cole got up and passed the drink to the other man.

Xavier started to get Kiara to swallow the drink slowly. Her head had been resting on his chest. When she refused to drink, he clutched her mouth and forced her to finish it. She coughed a little.

“l am sorry, Kiara;” he k!ssed her cheek and wiped her mouth.

“Now what?” Xavier asked Cole, putting the glass down on a bedside table.

“We have to wait, Alpha. It should work soon,” he replied.

“And wait for the magic to work as well,” Cole smirked, which made Xavier curious.

“Magic? What dó you mean?” Xavier inquired sternly. Had he been tricked by this

Omega?! Would he lose the pup and his mate?

“The herbal remedy is not a simple one, Alpha. The person who had made this magical drug will be screaming in pain right now,” Cole smiled.

“What? Do you mean that what Kiara has gone through will be rebounded and sent to the person who drugged her?! That slut Petra will suffer what Kiara has gone through?” He asked.

“Yes but not to Petra. She can’t use this kind of magic. Yes, she may have instructed him to make something like this. I can tell that this w as made by a pro. l am sure it is done by that hybrid spy, Cole remarked, showing off his intelligence that he always hid from the others in the pack.

“So what exactly will happen to him? Would he đet horńy ánd f*”k random she-wolves?”

No, he will not be blessed with enhanced lasciviousness. Instead, he will feel like his body is on fire. His body will be burning and he will be screaming in pain.

“That means that we can catch the spy right now?!” Xavier raised his brow and smiled evilly as he finally had a way to tighten a rope around Orion’s neck.

“Yes” Cole smiled back, for a second, both men looked like best friends, exchanging smiles until the Alpha realized something.

“Wait! How did you know that the spy is a hybrid?” Xavier wondered.

“I had observed through all the incidents going on in the pack that they were being done by a hybrid.

Tonight I noticed in the pub that Kiara was acting oddly. I had also learned that a spy had been sent here by Petra. I did not share this information with anyone as I knew no one would believe an Omega. Plus, you already hated me. so.” he replied quietly.

Kaiden, Tyler:’ Fora few seconds both males exchanged looks before Xavier mind-linked Tyler and Kaiden.

Yes, Alpha!’ The Beta and Gamma, who had been sleeping were now on full alert, replied a few seconds later.

Search the entire pack. Don’t leave any small house unexplored. The man who is screaming in pain and body is burning red is Orion! Catch him and f*g drag him to me!’”

Xavier ordered.

Gladly!’ They both said in unison as they ran out of their rooms to follow the orders.

Xavier looked down at his mate brushing the hair from her face, He should go out and catch Orion right now. But Xavier needed to staybesíde Kiara.

Everything will be alright, Kiara,” he promised, k!ssing her tears away. That was when the Doctor arrived.

“Alpha,” the retired old Doctor ran into the room with his bag. He had used all the speed he possessed to reach the pack house when he heard that it was related to the Luna who had the special pregnancy.

“Check whether my pup and Kiara are safe or not” Xavier ordered, lying Kiara down on the bed slowly.

“Yes, Alpha,” the old wolf was surprised to see the Luna’s condition. He knew that she had been drugged. Who had drugged her? Xavier watched the Doctor check both of his babies for a long time.

“What did you give the Luna?” The Doctor asked and the young Omega explained. The old wolf just nodded as he had smelled that the herbal remedy that had been made by the young wolf was not dangerous but it was speclal. Cole, who was standing in the corner of the room, watched as his Alpha grew impatient.

He was also scared that Kiara had already started going through the abortion process, but he believed in his herbal medicine. He knew that what he had done would be work!

The pup is safe, Alpha,” the Doctor confirmed, lifting a heavy weight off of Cole’s shoulders. He immediately looked at the Alpha.

“And Kiara?” Xavier asked right away.

“The Luna’s condition has become stable. The drug is wearing off. I don’t know what herbal remedy you gave her but it is helping her to recover. She should open her eyes soon,” he informed them, getting up from the bed.

“Ohh, thank goddess,” Xavier sat on the chair, taking a deep breath while running his hands over his face. He had been so scared of losing his pup that his heartbeat was out of control, He felt like he would have a heart attack.

His eyes had a hint of redness. The Doctor left the room with permission, then the Alpha settled himself beside Kiara watched her finally sleeping peacefully.

Cole’s herbal remedy had really worked, she was no longer crying and begging for se.x.

She was finally getting some sleep. The young Omega let out a deep sigh and smiled at seeing Kiara safe.

Xavier lifted his gaze to the smiling young Omega. Cole’s smile disappeared as he started to leave the room quietly. This time he really had not been looking at Kiara in that way, but if the Alpha got the wrong idea, then he was dead.

“Stop,” the Alpha told him. Cole froze in his place, turning back to look at him.

“Stay in the room until she opens her eyes,” Xavier ordered. He was afraid that Kiara’s condition could become unstable at any time. Now that the Doctor was useless, he could only depend on Cole.

“Okay, Alpha,” the Omega bowed, grabbing a chair while watching Xavier craziness over his mate. Cole was acting like he did not notice, but he could not ignore Xavier’s love for Kiara.

He was wiping her sweaty forehead, arms, and legs all the time. He was fanning her even though the AC was on and caressing her bump to give her comfort.

A few hours later, Cole returned with another dose of the drink. He watched Xavier holding Kiara’s hand and watching her intently.

“Kiara, wake up, baby. Let’s drink this. It is the last one” Xavier made her head rest on his chest. Cole smiled when he watched how lovingly the young she-wolf’s mate had been waking her up to make her drink the herbal remedy. This time she drank obediently before going back to sleep. But she had still not opened her eyes.

Cole left both of them together for hours before closing the door of Alpha’s bedroom and sat out in the hallway watching the sky through the window. It would be dawn soon.

Xavier finally lay beside Kiara, holding her tightly. Not once had he slept, he kept waiting for her to open her eyes and look at him.

Her heartbeat was now under her control, it was back to its familiar steady rhythm. He could sense that he had really saved his pup and mate.

Later, when dawn broke on the horizon and the sun’s light streamed through the window. Just like every other morning, the pack was not quiet but full with the chatter of voices.

The pack members had been preparing for the wedding in the garden. That was when the phone lying on the bedside vibrated. The Alpha picked it up before it could interrupt his woman’s beauty sleep.

“Hello”

“Xavier, it’s me,” Zander began to say. His phone’s battery was dead, so he was using Adira’s.

“Where are you?”

“l am returning the pack now because I learned everything we needed to know,” the younger Alpha replied, increasing the speed of his car.

“What did you find out?”

“As expected, the man Adira met in the Temple really was Orion. Thanks to my mate, the wizard was ready to share more information and according to him, our Orion was brought to them by Petra’s men.

He was badly injured, his manh00d had been totally destroyed and his face was disfigured. But the wizard Priest turned out to be the best at his skills. In 5 months’ time, the Priest had fixed his face, but

Orion was not able to wear his old face for more than 10 minutes at a time because it caused him physical pain.

So he was given a new face by the Prime Priest. It was handsome and slightly similar to his previous one. But that snake learned the technique of how to change his appearance by himself!

As we know, he was already an excellent hybrid and the best at everything, so he learned to copy anyone’s appearance as well,” he explained in one breath.

“What!” Xavier growled.

“Yes, Orion has come back with a proper plan that was engineered by Petra. He can copy anyone’s face. That was the reason he killed our people and could easily mix among them. He could not only copy their face but that person’s strength,” he added.

“fvck!This is a big mess!”

“Yes it is! To be able to mix into the crowd, he must have copied someone’s face that no one would have doubted,” Xavier remarked. But he wondered whose face that could have been.

Yes. Also, the Prime Priest was only able to give him a new face, but when it came to Orion’s manh00d, it was beyond even his skills to repair. So if l am right by changing his appearance and copying that person’s strength and figure, Orion can satisfy his l.ust and desire!

That is the reason Petra and Orion are still together and f****g with our lives for their sick revenge!” Zander growled in rage then slammed his hand in anger.

“Did they tell you what he looks like now?” Xavier questioned.

“No, that f*g wizard said that he can’t share that information because of privacy!” The younger Alpha gritted his teeth. He had just wanted to punch that old wizard right in the face but had stopped because of Adira.

“No worries. I found a different way to catch Orion with Cole’s help.”

“The Omega? What is all that about?”

“I will explain all of that to you later, but right now, l can truthfully say that Orion can not hide.I have sent Kaiden and Tyler to search every house in the pack.”

‘Alpha, Kiaden mind-linked Xavier. Zander also joined them after cutting the call.

‘Spill it The older Alpha ordered desperately.

We could not find Orion. His body was really burning and he was screaming in pain when we caught sight of him. He ran into the woods before we could catch him disappointment was evident in the Beta’s voice.

“Why? How could you fail, Kaiden!’ Xavier barked, losing his temper. Now that they had so little time left. It was just three hours until Iris’ wedding..

Please hear me out, Kaiden requested.

“What is there left to hear!’ the Alpha snapped through the mind-link.

We know who Orion is, Tyler stated, causing both Alpha’s ears to perk up.

Who?”The twins asked together in rage.

It’s Lance!”

Xavier closed his eyes tightly, gritting his teeth. Dean wanted to take him over so that he could hunt down that backstabbing murderer! So that f*cker had been living among them as his mate’s personal bodyguard! He had intentionally gained his trust so that he could get closer to them. Zander and the other two ranked males on the mind-link had gone silent, understanding that the older Alpha would be going insane.

“Kiaden and Tyler, Xavier spoke after a few seconds of silence.

If you can’t bring him in alive, then make sure to bring me his head!

Do l make myself clear? Xávier ordered in a dangerously calm voice.

We understand, Alpha, they said together before the Alpha excused himself from the mind link and blocked everyone for a while. He turned to look at a sleeping Kiara, holding her tightly again. At this point, she was the only one who was going to be able to help him calm down. He just needed her.

Zander rested his head back against the seat. Lance! He just wanted to kill him. Alpha was also quite annoyed when the Prime Priest had said that Orion had returned in search of Adira like he had promised. When he had not found her, he was angry. Zander had not liked his interest in his mate. That was when he felt his mate’s eyes on him.

“You knew that Orion was Lance, didn’t you?” He ásked with a chuckle.

Yes,I doubted it when I first saw him as Kiara’s bodyguard, but I was not sure. If Lance was not Orion, then an innocent could have died so I did not bring him up,” she explained in a normal tone.

“I understand,” Zander smiled, keeping his hand in hers, which gave the young woman relief. She smiled, watching him k!ssing her hand.

“Now, catch some sleep. I will wake you up when we reach the pack,” he added. None of them had slept all night.

That was when the Alpha received a call from the Vampire King Alfred.

Why was he calling him?

Two more hours passed and Iris’ wedding was only an hour away. Kiara slowly moved her body in the familiar warmth that surrounded her. She opened her eyes sluggishly, and saw a pair of beautiiful green eyes that were staring at hệr. She let out a sigh while admiring them. He was the reason for her living.

Xavier’s arms were wrapped around her, like usual she had been sleeping in them. Her mate was looking deep into her eyes without blinking, He greeted her with a small, breathtaking smile.

“Kiara,” Xavier called her name, rubbing his thumb over her lower l!p as his palm cradled her cheek.

“Did you sleep well?” he asked, k!ssing her forehead.

“Yes” she smiled back, closing her eyes and savoring his warmth. Him being wrapped around her like this was a pure heaven. That was when the memories from last night began to flood into her mind, making her open her eyes in horror.

“Xavier, last night I..”‘ she nearly shrieked, when she remembered that she had str!pped in the pub and danced while under the influence of a drug,she sat up on the bed right away, placing her hand over her mouth.

Kiara, calm down,” Xavier cooed, sitting up as well, but she shook her head.

“I…l acted like a w***e, Xavier,” her eyes watered.

“No, you did not,” he cupped her face.

Then what about our baby? I knew I was on drugs. Did we lose our pup? A fat tear rolled down to her cheek as she kept her hand over her bump.

“No, our pup is safe, Kiara.”

“Really?” she sobbed.

“Yes, we both protected our pup,” he smiled, wiping away her tears, Kiara nodded, crying in happiness.

“I was afraid, Xavier” she said. Xavier pulled Kiara into his arms. She had no idea that he had been absolutely terrified of losing the two most precious things in his life. He was the one who would have died without her. Her every tear burned his heart and filled it with rage and the need for revenge.

I swear, I will deliver Petra a painful death,Kiara, he vowed silently.

“Don’t be scared, Kiara. I am here with you. We are together,” he pulled away from her.

“Do you understand me?” He placed a soft k!ss on her l!ps. She needed a smile. This man had the ability to steal all of her fears.

“Now, let’s get going, Kiara,” Xavier got up from the bed while holding her hand.

“Where?” She wondered, still not moving but not letting go of his hand.

“Iris’ wedding starts in one hour, we have to get ready,” he smiled.
