Alpha Carl Damien ran his hand through his hair. “I want to see her again.” He said looking at Hazel as if asking for her consent.

“How did you come to conclude that you want her to be your mate when it’s just a fling that happened between you?” Hazel asked.

“My wolf. I haven’t been at peace since she left. At first I wanted to forget it but trust me.. it hasn’t been easy. I keep seeing her everywhere.” Alpha Carl Damien expressed himself.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Isn’t this how you felt after spending a night with Madison? The only difference is that you courted Madison for about two years but you want to mate Meagan immediately.” Julius sat back on the couch.

“Allison.. your wolf wants to meet Allison the witch of Maridom and not Meagan Swift. It is obvious you fell for the character she played and not the real, Meagan Swift. She is not like that.” Hazel stated with a serious face.

“Listen Hazel, I have given it a thought before deciding to open up to you guys. Trust me, I won’t be standing here right now if I wanted to meet Allison the witch of Maridom. This might be similar to how I met Madison. Fine.. I grew so fond of Maddie but I think my feelings wasn’t so strong to hold on to her. Believe me, in a short while my wolf feels different. It is not acting the same way it did when I met Madison.” He answered.

“It is obvious you and Madison were a mismatch right?” Julius asked.

Alpha Carl nodded in agreement. “Why haven’t I travelled down to Paris to find Madison? It is because my wolf doesn’t want it.”

“I guess you were to blinded by your love for her to realize that your wolf doesn’t want her.” Beta Julius added.

“But it is different with Meagan. I have been having a rough time trying to calm my wolf. I have hardly stopped thinking about Meagan in the past seven weeks. I even went as far as doing too much work that weren’t necessary just to forget her but nothing worked.” Alpha Carl said.

“You should have called her and set a meeting.” Julius bit down on his lower lip.

“I didn’t get her contact because we agreed to a secret adventure.” Alpha Carl answered.

Hazel let out a sigh. “So you want Meagan to be your mate?” She asked.

“Yes, I want her to be my mate.” Alpha Carl Damien answered.

“And what if it doesn’t work out?” Hazel asked.

“It has to work out this time.” Alpha Carl muttered.

He was hopeful that things would work out with Meagan. The alpha isn’t so proud of the fact that his first attempt to mating didn’t work out. So this needs to work out. He was determined to mate Meagan.

“Believe me, this won’t be easy. You have to consider so many things if you want Meagan to be your mate. She is a human, so will she be able to accept a wolf into her future? Will she give up everything she has ever worked for to be a Luna in a pack?” Beta Julius pointed out.

“I doubt if Meagan is ready to go down this path with you.” Hazel added.

“I know. But I should at least give it a try.” Alpha Carl replied.

“Did she tell you her greatest fear? I mean did you guys get to talk about past experiences?” Hazel asked.

Alpha Carl Damien raised his eyebrows slightly. “Just few details about her family and job. We didn’t go deeper because she is too closed up. Meagan made it so obvious that she doesn’t want to know anything about me or for me to get to know her.”

“Well she knows about your past relationship but at that time she didn’t know the warlord and the alpha are the same man.” Hazel heaved a sigh.

“I don’t know much about her but I am willing to get to know her better.” Alpha Carl Damien admitted.

“I’ll tell you about Meagan Swift.” Hazel gestured to the alpha to take a seat on the couch and he did as instructed.

“Well there is one thing Meagan doesn’t want anyone to ever find out about her. Her past relationship.” Hazel said.

“But why? Is it that bad?” Alpha Carl asked.

Hazel heaved a sigh before settling to speak up. “The first man she ever loved took advantage of her naivety and inexperience about love. Meagan was crazy about Max and she really did have in her all in the relationship. But one day, Meagan went to a pub with few of her friends and it was there there that she overheard her boyfriend having a conversation with his circle of friends. She walked in on Max sharing that he never loved her or cared about her. And how he had cheated on her with some other girls. He stated that she was too old fashioned and not his proper standard.” Hazel narrated.

Alpha Carl screwed up his face in confusion. “What’s so old fashioned about her?” He demanded.

“Meagan didn’t want to get intimate with any man until her wedding night. But she let down her guard, Max broke her resolve with his pretense and he defiled her. Max told his friends that he only wanted her in his bed and would never fall deep in love with a nerd.” Hazel recounted everything Meagan had told her the day she cried over the phone.

“He is an asshole.” Alpha Carl gritted his teeth in anger.

Beta Julius nodded his head in agreement to the alpha’s words.

“Meagan was heartbroken. She broke up with Max without giving him a reason. His words destroyed her existence. She withdrew from people, stopped trusting anyone and she took solace in solitude.” Hazel swallowed hard as tears clouded her vision. She remembered how much her best friend had suffered just trying to get over her first boyfriend.

“My best friend became someone different. I couldn’t comfort her. And she made up her mind to never fall in love or even have anything to do with men ever again. After we graduated her job became her commitment.” Hazel wiped a tear that had slipped down her cheek.
