Alpha’s Predestined Bride

EPISODE 57 His decision

MOON STONE PACK

FEW DAYS LATER

Beta Julius and Hazel exchanged glances as the alpha paced to and fro in front of them. The couple got back into the pack yesterday and the alpha had made a request to see them in his apartment.

Right now he was working up the courage to open up to his friend about what has been bothering his mind.

Beta Julius cleared his throat. “Can you stop pacing and tell us the reason why you invited us over? I am pretty sure it’s not about the pack because my mate doesn’t have anything to do with pack affairs.”

Alpha Carl Damien stopped pacing and he drew in a deep breathe. He and his wolf has reached an agreement.

“Do you remember I mentioned it that I met someone during the full moon celebration?” Alpha Carl asked.

Beta Julius scrunched up his face as he tried to remember.

“That day you came around and saw a bag right where you are sitting now.” Alpha Carl reminded his friend as he pointed at the couch.

“Oh yes! I remember! But.. you.. you didn’t give me the full details.” Julius stammered.

“So you met someone? Why didn’t you tell me he met someone?” Hazel turned to look at her mate.

Beta Julius itched the back of his neck. “It slipped my mind plus I don’t even remember him telling me that he found someone until now.” He answered.

Hazel turned sharply to face the alpha. “Who is she? Is she a native of this pack? Have you decided to mate her? Tell me.. tell me.. I need to do a proper check on her to see if she deserve to be Luna.” Hazel rushed out her words as she questioned himself.

“Firstly she is not a native of this pack. She is not even a werewolf but I have decided to make her my mate if she is willing.” Alpha Carl Damien replied.

“How long have you been planning this? I was only gone for seven weeks and you are ready to make thing official with that human.” A frown crossed Beta Julius’s face.

“Is seven weeks not long enough?” Alpha Carl asked.

“So you have been seeing her for seven weeks? Tell me, is she someone I know?” Beta Julius questioned.

Alpha Carl Damien nodded his head. “Yes, you know her.. both of you.” He answered.

The mated couple exchanged glances. “Woah! I am so disappointed right now. I was hoping my best friend would take the Luna spot.” Hazel hissed with a deep frown on her face.

“I guess we lost. So who is she?” Julius asked.

Alpha Carl Damien already made up his mind. He would announce Meagan as his mate. He found the answer to the question that bugged his mind that day. He wanted to meet that human again not as Allison the witch of Maridom but as Meagan Swift even though they are the same person.

He had made a promise to Allison the witch of Maridom to keep the affair a secret but he wanted to make Meagan Swift his mate. He already pulled out of the fantasy the moment he realized that his wolf wanted to have something more than a fling with this human. If Meagan was living close by, he would have collected her contact and convince her to see him again. He wanted more. And everything would have been easier for him if they haven’t agreed to a secret adventure.

“Who is she?” Hazel snapped as she jolted the alpha out of thought. She was angry because he was going to mate someone else instead of her best friend.

“Meagan Swift.” Alpha Carl Damien blurted out. He studied the mated couple expression-they were shocked.

“Meagan?!” The mated couple gasped out in unison.

The alpha nodded in response. Julius and Hazel looked at each other before facing the alpha.

“You are joking right? Are you trying to pull our legs and waste our time here?” Julius demanded.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

Alpha Carl Damien knew they weren’t going to believe his words. “It is Meagan. She is the someone I told you about weeks ago.” A serious look played on his face.

“What?!” Julius jaw dropped as realization hit him. “The bag? I mean.. the one I saw right here that day… was it Meagan’s bag?” He stuttered.

Alpha Carl Damien shook his head in agreement. Hazel’s mouth was widely opened. She was still finding it hard to believe it.

“Did it started that day? I mean.. this whole thing. How did you ended up seeing Meagan without us knowing?!” Beta Julius questioned frantically.

“This is impossible. Meagan won’t see you without telling me. She.. she.. doesn’t.. want a man in her life yet. She.. didn’t.. want to.. meet the alpha of.. my pack.” Hazel stammered. A feeling of disappointment stirred within her as she came to realize that her best friend might have hid something from her.

“We met each other at the Halloween party. We had just drinks and ate together that night. The second encounter was when she got lost trying to find your home and she ended up in front of my home to ask for directions. We danced and shared…” Alpha Carl paused to study his friends. They were patiently waiting for him to tell them everything. They should be happy right? They should be glad that he wants to mate the woman they wanted for him.

He cleared his throat and continued. “We danced right here and shared a kiss too. The adventure started that same day.” He explained few things to his friends. The secret adventure they had both agreed to enjoy without telling anyone.

“Meagan did all that with you?!” Hazel gasped out in shock. Two things were on her mind at the moment, she was happy the so called alpha’s mate turned out to be her best friend but she was angry Meagan had kept her in the dark.

“We had fun. But it ended on the day of your wedding. And I also didn’t get to say a final goodbye to her.” Alpha Carl Damien answered.

“Wow! Unbelievable! You guys are so good at pretending. You declined the offer to meet her and you even said that you don’t want any woman yet. So how come I never suspected it that something was going on between you two?” Beta Julius stood up from the couch.

“I am hurt by the facade of not wanting each other after we tried to matchmake you with her. And I am also shocked by that fact that Meagan hid things from me.” Hazel folded her arms with a pout on her lips.
