Chapter 16
“Try connecting back to her, maybe we can get her location from there” father ordered
“Okay” I replied
“No wonder she was able to get into your head because she is your bloodline,” Lucy said.
Now it all makes sense ” she added
” But wait, can you locate her,” she asked
“I’ll try” I replied.
I went back to my room and Lucy followed. I took the spell book and searched through it to see if I would see anything that could help it. Finally, I found it. The location spell. I tried using it but it wasn’t working.
“It’s not working,” I said to Lucy
“Why?” She asked
“I don’t know, I think there’s a part of the puzzle we are missing,” I said to her as I checked the book again only to find out that the reason why I could not locate her was that she didn’t want to be found. According to the book, one can block their location if they don’t want to be found but can only be traced when they make contact with another person using their magic.
“So let’s wait for her to reach out again,” Lucy said as I nodded in response.
We went downstairs to meet Jaden and their father. As soon as Jaden saw us, he ran towards us.
“Were you able to get anything?” He asked
“Not yet” I replied.
He felt disappointed with my response.
“I couldn’t figure out her location because she doesn’t want to be found,” I said to him
“What do you mean she doesn’t want to be found?” he asked
“I think she’s hiding from something or someone which made him block the location spell” I replied
“But what could she be hiding from?” He asked again
“I don’t know. All I know is that she’s hurt and she needs help.” I said to him and Lucy
“But how do we get to find her now?” He asked
“That’s not a problem as long as she makes contact with me again. That way I can find her.” I answered
“Alright. We are all trusting you on this” he said as he went to meet father.

The next morning, Eric asked his men to pack up and get ready to leave as he walked closer to me.
“We have only twenty days left to find the boy,” Eric said
“I know which is why I’m here to help you,” I said to him
“Right now they are in the most dangerous and secured place. It will be hard to get to them.” I added
“You need a plan to be able to defeat them,” I said to him
“So what are you suggesting?” He asked
“It would be better if we get closer to them and wait till they get relaxed. We should make them think that we are no longer after them. Then right then, we will attack.” I said to him
“That sounds like a good plan,” he said
“Get ready boys, let’s move” he ordered
“Only if he knew I was using him for my revenge plan,” I thought to myself.
We continued on the journey till we came to a place where I asked them to stop.
“We are close enough,” I said to Eric
“Okay,” he said
“They will never know what’s coming, ” I thought to myself.
Eric and his men decided to make a camp there.
“Just because of a useless prophecy, he’s so tensed and worked up like this. Anyway, that’s not my problem but his” I said to myself as I sat down
~Jaden’s POV~
“Father, why us?” I asked
“Why is this happening to our family,” I asked again
Father turned to me, placed his hands on my shoulder, and smiled
“Son, everything happens for a reason. It’s something we call faith” Father said
“But don’t worry, everything will be fine soon.” He consoled and I nodded in response.
“We have nineteen more days to go. I’m pretty sure that Eric is cooking up something. We have to be ready at all times.” Father said to me
“How good are you in fighting?” Father asked
“Good but not as good as Willow,” I said
“From now on, you will train every day so that when I’m not around, you will be able to protect yourself and your sisters too,” he said
“Speaking of sisters, Father, who is older between me and Lucy,” I asked
“Well, she’s older than you by a minute” he answered
“What!!! Please don’t tell her. If not, she will surely trade me with it” I pleaded
“Okay, as long as you train hard,” father said before we were interrupted by Lucy
“I want to train to father,” she said
Father looked at her surprised at what she just said.
“I’ve never seen a girl fight before,” I said
“Wait till you see your mother fight ” father said
“Mother doesn’t fight. I’ve never seen her fight before. She’s always gentle.” I said to him
“Just wait till you see her then. She’s a lot stronger than anyone one I’ve seen” father said.
“Haha, I think there is a saying that what a man can do, a woman can do better,” Lucy said
“Okay, let’s see if you can keep up,” I said
“Training starts tomorrow,” Father said
“Okay” Lucy replied as she went back into the house.
Father and I smiled at each other as we watched her go inside.
“Don’t be surprised when you see her fight. She looks like a tough one” Father said
~Rhea’s POV~
I waited for her to speak to me again but to no avail. I worried something bad might had happened to her. I hope she’s alright. I was so restless that it made me pace around the room that I didn’t notice Lucy walk in.
“Hey sis, what are you up to? You’ve been here like all day” she asked
“I don’t know Lucy, I feel restless about everything,” I said to her.
“But why?” She asked
“The woman, I mean our mother. She’s hurt. I just hope that something bad hasn’t happened to her. ” I said
“Don’t worry she will be fine” Lucy said to me
“How about we stroll around the house and get some fresh air?” She asked
“Okay, if you say so” I replied
We walked around the house and suddenly, Lucy stopped.
“Someone’s here,” she said
“Lucy, what are you saying. No one is here” I said to her
“I’m serious. I can sense magic ” she said
“Of course, I have powers,” I said to her
“It’s not yours, it’s coming from there,” she said pointing at the gate.
“Father, Father…” I called out and he came running out to us.
“What’s going on?” He asked
“Lucy said someone is at the gate ” I answered
“And the person has magic” I added
“Lucy are you sure about this?” He asked
“Yes father, but she’s just standing there. She’s not moving” Lucy said.
Father walked closer to the gate and asked us to go back into the house. We could help but hide in the corner of the door to see who it was.
