I walked into my room. “My alpha king, I don’t think it is wise to leave the kingdom.” Eunuch Cole said.

My lip drew back in a snarl. “What?!” I turned to face the eunuch in anger. “My mate is in danger! She is in the hands of the rogues and I don’t want to image what those bastards would do to her if I don’t find her!” I yelled. My wolf was also furious at the eunuch.

Eunuch Cole bowed his head immediately. “Forgive me alpha king for I also know how the mate instincts works. I am just concerned about you and our kingdom. What if the rogues comes around to invade the palace because you aren’t in it? What if this is the enemy’s plan to use your weakness against you just to lure you out of the kingdom?” Eunuch Cole expressed the questions that must be bothering his mind.

The eunuch was only trying to make me realize the dangers attached to leaving the kingdom unguarded.

“Well I am still not convince that it is not the late alpha who wants my kingdom. I have refused to believe that there is another enemy out there waiting to bring my kingdom down! This has to be the works of those people who are involved with the late alpha Zion!” I gritted my teeth. All these wouldn’t been happening if alpha Zion has started a war with my kingdom. This is his his fault!

“My alpha king.. but the crescent alpha stated her vision in the note she sent to you. It must-”

I raised my hand up to silence the eunuch. “I know she warned me but I am still not convinced. Cole, I need you to tell me what you saw in your vision.” I requested after I remembered that the eunuch had wanted to tell me the vision he had but I have been too busy to even give him an audience.

“I saw that the kingdom was taken away from you through your weakness -Your Mate.” Eunuch Cole recounted his vision with his head bowed.

“So someone wants to use my mate to get to me and take away my throne.” I said to be sure.

Eunuch Cole shook his head in agreement. “My alpha king, I suggest you don’t leave the palace.”

“But what about Mia? I have to save her.” I countered.

“Yes, I know you have to save the Luna but-”

I interrupted him quickly. “My wolf will never forgive me if those rogues hurt a strand of her hair. And I swear to the goddess that I will kill those bastards!” I could feel my eyes glowing crimson with veins bulging at the sides of my neck but I fought for control.

“My alpha king, I am not saying you shouldn’t leave the palace to save her but -”

I cuts him off sharply again. “Cole! Go straight to the point!” I snarled.

“Don’t leave the palace unprotected because I feel the enemy is in the palace.” The eunuch bowed to me.

I and my wolf thought deeply about the eunuch’s words for a split second. Whoever sent those rogues to Crescent Pack just to get Mia must have been informed that she is the alpha king’s mate. My woman. My only weakness at this point.

Who is the greatest enemy of Donia kingdom now that alpha Zion is dead? Could it be that a member of the Donia kingdom is working for the so called enemy? Could it be one of the Donia officials? No! No! It can’t be anyone in my court! I didn’t find anything suspicious about them when I did a background check on the Donia officials. I thought deeply.

And as far as I could remember those men were all loyal to the late alpha king-my father. They were all faithful to the king and since my father never suspected any foul play so I am pretty sure that they are loyal to me too. I concluded.

Although I am still confused and I don’t know what to do about this situation. I am caught in between the options of remaining in my kingdom or saving my mate from being killed by the rogues.

“I don’t know what to do, Cole.” I admitted sincerely even though I seriously hate being helpless and vulnerable and not knowing what to do in situations that involves options.

“My alpha king.. I have a plan.” Eunuch Cole said with his head slightly bowed.

I looked up and stared intensely at him with a slightly raised eyebrow. “What plan do you have, Cole?” I asked.

“If you will listen to this your humble and lowly servant.” Eunuch Cole head was still bowed.

“Rise Cole.. I don’t regard you as a lowly servant. You are like a family to me.” I corrected him.

Eunuch Cole raised his head with a smile on his face. “I have a plan which might help you save the kingdom and your mate.”

I started the pacing fit. “Let me know about your plan.” I said.

Eunuch Cole moved closer to him. “There is a way to be present at the kingdom and be present at the rogues locations in other to save your mate too.” He whispered.

My eyebrows drew together. “Perhaps are you suggesting black magic?” I asked after thinking for some seconds.

The eunuch shook his head in agreement. “Illusion is the only option that can help us but it is not black magic.” Eunuch Cole moved closer to him. “There is a way to be present at the kingdom and be present at the rogues location in other to save your mate too.” He whispered.

My eyebrows drew together. “Are you suggesting magic?” I asked after thinking for some seconds.

The eunuch shook his head in agreement. “Illusion is the only option that can help us but it is not black magic.” He muttered.

I have gave the option a second thought in my head- Illusion. It seems like a perfect way to be present at the kingdom and be able to save my mate.

“That is the only way out I can think of now that we are suspecting that there is bigger enemy after your throne. The enemy has your mate so I am sure he wants you to come find him and save your mate then he can also have a chance to attack the kingdom.” The eunuch explained what I am also thinking in my head.

“You are right, Cole. But how do we go about the illusion?” I asked in a tight whisper.

“I know someone who might help us.” Eunuch Cole answered.

“Who? Is the person around?” I demanded.

I screwed up his face. “Won’t that take too much time? And how do we get her to help us out?” I questioned.

“My alpha king, I just need a short note of you summoning her to the palace.” The eunuch responded.

I stopped pacing immediately. I rushed and went in search of a pen, paper and the royal seal in the secret safe. I came back to meet Cole and sat back on the couch close to my bed. I leaned forward to place the paper on the table.

“What is her name?” I asked.

“Kira.” Eunuch Cole replied.

“Kira…” I wrote the summoning note, I added the name of the witch in the note, stamped it with the royal seal and then handed it to the eunuch Cole.

“I will be waiting in here for you to bring the witch. Don’t take too long and don’t let anyone find out about what we are about to do.” I warned with a stern look on my face.

Eunuch Cole bowed before walking away.

I let out a sigh and prayed to the moon goddess to protect my mate. Even though I am not ready to accept my mate, I still don’t want to lose her because of my wolf. And I don’t want to go through the same pains my father went through when he lost my mother.

TEN HOURS LATER

I gestured to the six werewolves behind me to pull off their clothes and tie it to their ankle so they could all shift into their wolf forms. General Cullen had taken his time to select the best and trusted wolves and I have led them secretly out of the kingdom so we won’t raise any suspicion.

There is someone out there who want to get my throne so the so called enemy went after my mate. Too bad he just declared war with the wrong person. I prayed to the moon goddess to protect my mate before shape shifting into my wolf form.

“Your mate doesn’t deserve to die!’ Kira the witch had said and her words echoed in my wolf’s head.

“Her death would affect you and your wolf greatly and you won’t be able to save your kingdom in the end.” Kira had said. And her words did a great job at making me realize that I really do need my mate.

‘I want my mate!’ My wolf admitted.

I could sense her wolf calling out to my wolf through the connection our wolves had created in the short while of meeting. Mia wants me and my wolf too.

“I would kill them all I see a scratch on my mate.” I said internally as I pushed my wolf further at a fast pace.

‘I won’t forgive you if anything happens to our mate.’ The wolf said and increased it pace.

And I just couldn’t bear the thought of not having a mate anymore.
