After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities

Chapter 852

Chapter 852

Franklin curved his lips and opened a box of the chicken soup on the table, as well as several other

boxes that contained sweet and sour pork ribs, stewed lamb with radish, two simple vegetarian dishes,

and noodles in the last box.

"I noticed you weren't back yet, so I saved some food for you," he said while waving at her.

Sylvia didn't refuse. She took off her scarf and coat before walking towards him. Franklin had prepared

cutlery for her before sitting next to Sylvia. His upper body leaned slightly forward until it almost

touched Sylvia's.

Sylvia gave him a sideways glance and saw that he had also picked up cutlery.

"You haven't eaten?"

"Mm-hmm." Franklin nodded his head. He didn't have an appetite when she wasn't around so he

waited for her to eat together.

As they spoke, Franklin's aura enveloped them both; he was always so charming that even picking up

a vegetable made it seem like it was glowing with golden light. Sylvia found herself amused by this

thought.

She smiled before picking up a mushroom from the dish in front of her. "You still haven't told me who

you were talking to on the phone earlier."

Her brow furrowed slightly as she probed further into his conversation earlier.

Franklin didn't try to hide his affectionate gaze towards Sylvia; amusement twinkled in his dark eyes

when he replied teasingly,"Guess."

Sylvia remained unfazed by this response as she continued eating another bite of food from their

shared meal.

Suddenly though, Franklin grabbed hold of Sylvia's chin firmly, while exhaling warm breaths onto her

lips, causing them to tingle with anticipation.

Despite being caught off guard by this sudden action from him, she remained calm enough, not show

any reaction on her face or stop chewing on a rib bone.

Unexpectedly though, just as quickly as Franklin had grabbed hold of Sylvia's chin – he lowered

himself down until they were only about one centimeter apart – but then stopped abruptly without doing

anything else.

The tension between them lingered heavily in silence until finally breaking when Franklin spoke again

after finishing chewing, "You really know how to ruin the mood," He chuckled lightly before adding more

seriously, "But... this pork rib tastes especially delicious."

Sylvia felt herself freeze upon hearing such an intimate comment come out from such close proximity;

feeling increasingly uncomfortable under such scrutiny now that there were no distractions around

them anymore...

She resisted the urge to roll her eyes as Franklin leaned in too close. "I'm starving," she pushed him

away.

Franklin didn't miss the disdain that flickered in her eyes and muttered under his breath, "Is it really that

hard to get close to you?"

Sylvia couldn't help but want to smack him. "Weren't we close enough last night?" Her back still ached

from all the running around she did for him.

Why did he have to act like such a spoiled child? He was acting like an abandoned stuffed animal with

his constant need for attention and affection.

And now he was stealing her food! How immature can one person be?

Despite all this, Sylvia found herself laughing. She stood up and casually pulled out a brand new X

design limited edition watch from her coat pocket before tossing it at Franklin. "Just picked this up while

I was at the mall. It's yours."

In reality, she had carefully designed it herself just for him but pretended otherwise.

Franklin saw through her facade immediately and thought she was adorable when she acted like this -

stubborn yet cute.

He felt warm inside as he took the watch from Sylvia's hand and held out his wrist for her to put it on

him.

"You're being dramatic," Sylvia rolled her eyes but helped put on his new watch anyway.

It wasn't just any ordinary watch; its intricate design made it look expensive and luxurious on Franklin's

wrist.

Sylvia remained silent as they ate their meal together even though there were two watches in her coat

pocket - one of them being a women's version with both their names engraved on its backside which

she had also carved herself by hand.

She decided not to tell Franklin about it yet because if he knew about both watches, he would definitely

become insufferable with pride.

Sylvia wasn't used to doing these kinds of things so when she finally did something romantic or sweet,

it made her feel awkward - almost like an adolescent girl experiencing first love again.

Her heart raced uncontrollably as if trying desperately not to let go of those precious moments spent

with Franklin.

She awkwardly tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear and suddenly heard Franklin's magnetic

voice in her ear, "Honey, are you planning to wear matching couple watches with me?"

Sylvia was stunned and her face turned red as if she could bleed.

How did he know that the pair of watches she made were for couples?

She wanted to keep it a secret for a while longer...

She stared at Franklin in surprise, with a hint of doubt in her almond eyes.

Franklin's eyes were full of tenderness, indulgence and gentleness as he looked at her.

Sylvia suddenly turned her head away from his breath. Her heart was completely disoriented.

This man's gaze could almost drown people. She even dared not look into his eyes. However, Franklin

grabbed Sylvia's hand tightly. "Why aren't you answering me?"

Sylvia tried to pull back but couldn't muster the strength.

"No... you're thinking too much. There is only one watch."

"As a designer, don't you know better? Do you think I'll believe that?" Franklin smiled mischievously

while staring straight into Sylvia's beautiful eyes. "As your husband who is also a designer himself, I

know every piece of jewelry or watch that you design. So... Designer X," he paused dramatically before

continuing teasingly, "this is clearly meant to be worn by two people; where is the other female

version?"

Sylvia's heart skipped a beat when she realized he knew everything - all about it!

Franklin held onto Sylvia's hand and placed it on his face while she struggled weakly against him.

"Honey," He said softly with an indescribable tenderness in his voice. "You've already put me on your

mind so why can't you admit it?" His gentle gaze was captivating enough to make anyone fall under its

spell.

All Sylvia's nervousness and embarrassment melted away under his words.

What was wrong with being open about their feelings?

Why should they be so coy?

In fact, she just couldn't bring herself up to admit how important he had become for her deep down

inside...

Suddenly, Franklin let go of Sylvia's hand and stood up, smiling.

He swiftly cleared the table, gathering all remnants of their meal and disposing of them in a nearby

trash bin.

He accomplished these tasks effortlessly, without any pretense or showmanship. In the presence of

Sylvia, he always maintained a humble demeanor, striving to shield her from any burdens.

He attended to every minor detail himself, ensuring that even the smallest tasks were not left for Sylvia

to undertake.

She listened to the sound of running water coming from the bathroom and remembered what she NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

wanted to ask him. She pursed her lips and planned on questioning him when he came out, but then

her phone rang.

It was Logan.

"What's up?" Sylvia answered.

Logan yawned lazily before saying, "Boss, I found something on Abdullah like you asked me to."

"Really?" Sylvia chuckled softly. "Abdullah is part of the Mcguire family's branch family and has risen

quickly through their ranks at a young age. He holds great power in the entertainment industry thanks

in part to the Ritter Family's support." Draмanоvеls.com

Sylvia smiled faintly while crossing one leg over another lazily. "Then let's give him a hand, shall we?

Let's see if he still has time left for my business after dealing with this mess."

"He deserves it!" Logan exclaimed excitedly before hanging up.

After coming out of the bathroom, Franklin quietly sat next to Sylvia, scrolling through his phone. When

he heard her conversation with Logan, the man raised an eyebrow without saying a word.

Seeing her put away her phone, Franklin finally spoke up, "Did Abdullah offend you?"

"He hindered my new film's release and asked for revisions," Sylvia rubbed her temples. "I have to

write the modifications later."

Meanwhile, at the Ritter Villa, Mrs. Ritter hung up the phone and excitedly told her daughter Ashlyn,

"It's done! Your uncle rejected that woman's movie during the review process."

Ashlyn was playing a mobile game when she heard this news and stopped moving her fingers.

"Really?" she asked in disbelief.
