Chapter 239 Young Master Mu And Lady Linda Are Back

After a good lunch, Amy decided to rest before getting ready to visit Mu villa.

She put on a fancy one-piece winter dress, then applied some light makeup.

In the mirror, she looked good, and that made her happy.

She knew she was better looking than Linda. But, she never understood why Charles didn't like her?

When Amanda watched Amy walk out of her room and looked at the way she dressed, she felt utterly

distressed and told Bob, "I have a bad feeling about this. Amy is still in love with Charles. She refuses

to give up. What do we do?"

"What should we do?"

"Here is what we should do" "Now that Amy is back, we should introduce her to a few young single

men. That should get her mind off Charles."

"Great idea."

While in the garden of Mu's former house, "Ouch, my hip hurts. Can I change to another position

please? I can't do this!" James Mu couldn't help laughing when he heard Violet squealing from a

distance.

Violet had asked Bun to teach her a little bit of yoga, and she wasn't flexible now with age. It had

started to get pretty cold outside, while Violet was still practicing.

Poor Violet, all this was new to her. These were only the basics, and she was already yelping in pain.

"No, My Lady, you can do it! Come on!"

"Hold on, Violet. You always complain about your figure. Yoga can make your body beautiful." James

Mu said while standing beside her.

Violet was already in agony, and James' remarks irritated her further. She shouted in a bitter tone,

"Excuse me! What do you mean? Are you trying to insinuate something here?"

"No, I dare not. You said that yourself."

Lord Mu and his Lady would often squabble over such trivial matters. Bun would envy them and think

its a sign of being happy together after all the years.

All of a sudden, she thought of Brian Ho and all the things he would say to her.

"Bun, I'm here with you." He would say with a mischievous look.

As much as Brian Ho had assured Bun, she knew it was impossible. Lord Ho had always been strict

with Brain, and he never had quite them his consent.

It was never her fault, and she had no way of changing anything.

Secretly, Bun had always hoped for things to work out. Brian had promised her that someday they

would get back together, irrespective of whoever came in their way, and then he would never let her go.

Bun could tell from his eyes, that he meant every word he said, and she believed it in her heart that

would be together in the end.

While Violet was still soaring with pain after trying out those yoga positions, James Mu was taking in

some of the sunlight; Bun had drifted off into another world, Just then the guard walked and broke their

momentary silence..

"My Lord and My Lady, Lady Qi is here for a visit."

"Lady Qi?You mean Amy Qi?"

"Let her in!" James Mu said to the security guard.

'Why is she here?' Bun found it rather odd, for Amy was sent off to pursue higher education in Great

Britain. And from what she could recall, it was after all the incidents Amy's father Lord Bob had packed

her off to Great Britain. He had made it very clear that she was not to return until until she graduated.

They watched as she trotted towards them in her high-heels, Holding a lot of things in her arms.

The minute she saw Bob and Violet she gave them a vibrant smile and said, "Happy New Year Bob!

Happy New Year Violet! How are you both doing?

I have brought back some gifts for you."

"Thank-you, Amy. If I'm not mistaken aren't you supposed to be studying in Britain?" What brings you

back?"

"It's New Year, Violet. Besides, I miss home and I've missed you." Amy said, then she put the presents

down on the table and gave her a warm hug.

Bun was not particularly fond of Amy. She could see through her pretentious behaviour; she asked "My

Lady, may I be excused?"

Right up till then Amy had not taken any notice of Bun.

As Bun was about to leave Amy said, "Bun, wait for a minute please, I have a present for you." Amy

took a step back after she hugged Violet. Then reached out to her bag and pulled out a lipstick. While

handing it over to Bun, she spoke in a rather joyous tone, "Here you are. It's the most popular one in

Britain this year."

But Bun who didn't quite like Amy, replied with a stern look on her face "No thanks, Lady Qi. I don't

wear lipstick. Keep it to yourself."

With that, she turned around and left, leaving Amy embarrassed with the lipstick in her hand. She flied

into fury.

She thought about it again and asked herself, "what the hell was that."

Amy was kind enough to have thought of Bun, to begin with, but for her to behave like this and refuse

the gift was such an insult. If it weren't for the fact that she could be useful someday, Amy would not

waste a minute on her.

Today being a Sunday; Charles and Linda would spend the evening with James and Violet at the main

house, and leave after dinner.

Although they lived in a different villa, Lisa was the least bit interested in visiting Charles' parents, but

she'd dare not oppose.

It was because she didn't know how Linda would behave in such matters. Lisa tried hard to avoid him

from asking her anything.

Charles Mu took her home in the afternoon.

As Amy and Violet were chatting, the servant came in.
