A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 321 Not Invincible.

“Ranita, are you okay?” Dylan asked with concern from outside.

“Um, I’ll be right out!” Ranita snapped back to reality, wiped her hands and opened the door to go out.

Ranita’s face was still pale, and Dylan gently grabbed her hand and asked, “Are you careful? You look like you’ve lost a lot of blood!”

“It’s okay, I’ll be fine in a little while!” Ranita spoke softly, her eyebrows and eyes curved into a smile.

“Does your hand hurt?”

Ranita was happy to be cared for.

She shook her head and said, “It doesn’t hurt.”

Dylan smiled and breathed a sigh of relief, “That’s good, that’s good! Go back and lie down quickly!”

Ranita actually didn’t want to go back and lie down. The hospital bed was facing the opposite direction, so as long as she lifted her eyes, she could clearly see the man and woman across from her.

She was strong, but not invincible.

“Ranita… be careful! Lie down quickly!” Shannon said softly, shaking Brendon’s hand. “Brendon, I want to drink water. Can you pour me a glass?”

Brendon made a sound of agreement, got up to pour some water and considerately brought it to Shannon’s lips.

“Thank you, Brendon, you’re so kind!” Shannon’s face was full of tenderness and a bit of shyness as she lowered her eyes and leaned towards Brendon. However, Brendon’s attention was all on Ranita.

Her face looked very pale, was she feeling unwell? Brendon wanted to show his concern, but Ranita strongly rejected him…

“Brendon… Ah…” Suddenly, Shannon exclaimed, “Brendon, what’s wrong? You got water all over my clothes!”

Brendon was too focused and didn’t notice that he spilled water on Shannon’s clothes, leaving a large wet spot on her chest.

“Sorry!” Brendon placed the water cup down and frowned.

He was restless, his heart felt uncomfortable as if it were being roasted by fire.

“Brendon, it’s okay! Can you help me by getting some tissues to wipe it off?” Shannon pouted and looked a bit upset. “My hands aren’t working well, can you lend me a hand?”

Water spilled at the position of Shannon’s heart, which was quite awkward.

Not to mention Ranita was still here.

Brendon glanced at Ranita and noticed that she wasn’t even looking at him. Instead, she was taking Dylan’s offered water glass and drinking slowly with her head lowered.

“Brendon…” Shannon saw that Brendon had been staring at Ranita, her face twisted and terrifying under the mask, as if she wanted to strangle Ranita right then and there.

Shannon bit her lip and asked, “What’s wrong?”

“It’s okay!” Brendon snapped back to reality and grabbed a tissue to help Shannon wipe off the water on her clothes. Shannon was extremely bashful, as if Brendon had caught her doing something inappropriate. Her voice was sweet and tender as she said, “Thank you, Brendon…”

Dylan almost gagged and rolled his eyes. “Ranita, I need to find a nurse to change rooms. There’s someone here who’s too fake for me to handle.”

“Mr. Webster… are you talking about me?” Shannon grabbed Brendon’s hand, looking at him with a pitiful expression on her face. Her eyebrows and eyes were full of grievances. “Brendon, did I do something wrong? Why is Mr. Webster and Ranita so unhappy?”

Dylan couldn’t help but laugh.

Shannon was really shameless, no wonder Ranita always lost to her.

“I didn’t name names, Shannon. Why are you so eager to admit that it has something to do with you?” Dylan paused for a moment before smirking coldly. “You’re right though, as an unsullied bitch, how could you possibly make any mistakes?”Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

“Mr. Webster… isn’t that going too far?” Shannon bit her lip and looked pitifully at Brendon while snuggling into his arms. “Brendon, can you take me upstairs? I don’t want to disturb Ranita anymore since she seems so unwelcoming towards me.”
